During a Monday appearance on TODAY, reality star Kim Kardashian opened up about family life with husband Kanye West, their 22-month-old daughter North, her fertility struggles, and supporting her stepfather Bruce Jenner.

“They [medical professionals] have recommended to get a surrogate, but I would like to hold out a little bit longer, and still try,” Kim shared. “I still have hope, so I’m just going to keep on trying. Never say never. I mean, we haven’t talked about adopting.”

Kim went on to talk about her struggles.

“They say if you’ve been trying [to have a baby] for a year, then you usually need a little bit of help,” she said. “I had a tough delivery, so I understand what my challenges are. I mean, I’m seeing the best doctors and I’m trying to do everything that I can to make that happen.”

Currently, the KUWTK star is happy to focus on their adorable toddler.

“I think you get kind of over it to the point where, I’m so blessed that I have one, and I don’t want to take my focus off of her so much,” she said.

As for her famous stepfather, Kim says she supports Bruce Jenner’s gender transition “100 percent.”

“Bruce is the most honest … He has the biggest heart and I’m really happy for him that he is living his life the way he wants to live it and that he has found inner peace and just pure happiness,” Kim shared. “That’s what life is about. I don’t know what life would be like if you always felt like you weren’t yourself.”

The reality star, 34, went on to say that she – and most of the general public – could never truly understand what Bruce is going through, but “I don’t even think we have to,” she said. “I think as long as he is happy and he wants to live his life however he wants to live it, that just makes me happy and I support him 100 percent.”
