Lady Gaga wanted to make a big entrance, of course, at the Met Gala. And I have mixed feelings about the whole thing. Since it’s Gaga, you know she’s going to “go big” and it’s going to look costume-y no matter what. So that’s what we expect from her, and when she delivers, it just seems like… “oh, yeah, there’s Gaga trying to go big.” Self-fulfilling prophecy, I guess. Anyway, I’m happy that Gaga wasn’t one of the nearly-naked women at the Met Gala and I guess we shouldn’t have a problem with this ensemble because she actually did go with a Chinese-American designer. My favorite part? The pants. I really like the pants.
Taraji P. Henson in Alexander Wang for Balenciaga. I love this! I think this is Taraji’s best red carpet look in a really long time.

Carey Mulligan got the worst, most boring Wang for Balenciaga. What is this? A black sack dress with a MULLET? With poorly applied makeup and a grumpy expression? If the Met Gala is so much of a chore, why not just stay home? I don’t understand.
And here’s Zoe Kravitz doing a weird version of Alexander Wang too. I like that the Chinese-American designers were so popular at the Gala, but this dress doesn’t feel connected to anything, right?
