Another day, another stupid a** story about some young rapper doing something ridiculous. Lil Uzi Vert, whom I don’t know nor listen to, decided to spend a cool $24 million on a pink diamond that he had implanted into his forehead (eye roll). The rapper who decided to name himself after a small green machine gun is known for his extravagant lifestyle of blinged out jewelry and high end cars. Of course Lil Uzi sells this lifestyle through his music and videos to impressionable teenagers. Anyhow Lil Uzi said it took him four years to pay off the $24 million price tag of the diamond and that his Bugatti. all of his cars and house wouldn’t cover the cost. When Lil Uzi said he had purchased the diamond, one of his fans told him to put it in a ring. Lil Uzi did one better and put the damn thing in his forehead, you know, so he doesn’t lose it? Below is more on the story via Page Six:
Last week, Lil Uzi — whose real name is Symere Bysil Woods — announced that he spent the past four years paying for a $24 million natural pink diamond that he planned to have implanted in his forehead.
When asked if he spent more on the diamond — which he said is between 10 and 11 carats and comes from his favorite jewelry designer, Elliot Eliantte — than he’s spent on his cars, the rapper replied, “Yes my Bugatti can’t even pay for it … all my cars together, plus home, this took so long now I can get this money.”
Responding to a fan who told the rapper he should just put the diamond in a ring, Uzi said, “If I lose the ring yeah U will make fun of me more than putting it in my forehead ha ha jokes on you ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha… And yes I do have insurance.”
On Tuesday, it appears Uzi followed through with his promise to have the gem placed in his face.
Fans immediately compared him to Vision, the Marvel superhero powered by the Mind Stone.
The inspiration behind the rapper’s look is unclear, though he’s long been interested in anime, the Heaven’s Gate cult and aliens.
Listen, I had to keep myself from rolling my eyes as I read this story. I try my best not to be judgmental but I am going to be hella petty and judgy here. I just don’t get these youngens. Like why are you wasting $24 million on a pink diamond that you have decided like a fool to implant in your forehead? What is the purpose of this? Why not invest your money so that it never runs out? I swear these dudes don’t have a parent or someone who cares about them around to tell them no. This idea doesn’t make sense. In fact, it is frivolous. People like Lil Uzi also think that the money will always be rolling in, never considering that one day their records won’t sell and the money will run out. Who is gonna bankroll their lifestyle once that happens?
It would seem that no one knows where Lil Uzi got this idea to implant his diamond into his forehead or whether it is safe? All I can do is facepalm Lil Uzi laughing at people telling him to put the diamond into a ring because he could possibly lose the ring and the diamond with it. Instead, putting it in his forehead was a smarter move according to Lil Uzi. At least Lil Uzi was smart enough to ensure the diamond. With that being said, I cringed when folks said that Lil Uzi looked like Vision with the Mind Stone implanted into his forehead. We know what Vision’s fate ended up being and why. Be smart kids, don’t be like Lil Uzi.
