“Prince William was too lazy to do his job as FA President and fly to Australia” is the 2023 version of William and Kate’s Caribbean Flop Tour. The same fundamental issues are at play: William and Kate have the diplomatic skills of an unripe tomato; they lack the managerial skills to hire intelligent, competent people to advise them; they believe that the public WANTS them to act like cosplaying colonialists and that’s all they have to offer; they are fundamentally lazy, unserious, racist, ugly people. As you can probably tell, I’m having a great time covering all of the different people dragging William for his failure to get off his ass and do his job as FA President. This woman – Leah Brown – made some excellent points!

Founder and CEO of Broadstairs Consulting Leah Brown claims the no-show calls into question the role of the monarchy in modern Britain.

“The primary impact of King Charles not supporting the Lionesses, and the PR stunt played by Prince William using Charlotte to garner public favour when delivering an unpalatable message, is that it calls into question the role of the monarchy in contemporary Britain,” she told the Express.

Brown also alleged that William abandoned his duties as patron of the FA, which now falls on his father King Charles. She said: “I have some sympathy for King Charles’ position. In this instance, the nominated individual, namely William shirked his responsibility thus throwing others into the firing line.”

The royal expert said she was also not convinced by the excuse for missing the match.

She added: “I am unsatisfied that climate change concerns were the driver behind non-attendance. It was disappointing to have no state support alongside the Queen of Spain. Charity causes and investitures aside, the idea that the royals are anything other than performative suggests this event ought to have been attended at least by a female royal representative.”

Brown said the lack of support from the Royal Family was “short-sighted”.

“Ultimately it is short-sighted for King Charles and Prince William to deprioritise attendance,” she said. “The Women’s World Cup was the perfect opportunity to make a stand for both progress achieved in society vis a vis women in sport, and forging the unity of an otherwise polarised nation by supporting the Lionesses in person in Australia.”

Something similar happened during and after the Caribbean Flop Tour as well – people were pleading with Will and Kate, in real time, to change up their optics, to not make asses out of themselves as they wandered around the Caribbean, and then when everything blew up in their faces, KP went on a briefing spree with all of their excuses. And no one bought those excuses. Same thing here – people are openly blasting William and his dumb, lazy excuses and flatly pointing out that he’s trying (and failing) to hide behind his father and/or drag the king into a mess that William alone made. Anyway, William is a lazy idiot and a violent psycho, pass it on.

Kensington Palace’s staffers are so bored right now. Prince William and Kate have been on vacation for months and there’s nothing to do other than cover up all of the problems in the Wales marriage. That’s why KP staff put their stink on that ridiculous “Americans love William” story, and KP also stage-managed this new piece in the Telegraph: “The year Kate became a true queen in waiting: From accompanying the King and Queen on an official engagement to raising her own profile, the future of the monarchy is in safe hands.” After an exhaustive inventory of Kate’s pitiful accomplishments (Kate wore a repeat, Kate’s queenly jazz hands, Kate’s Early Years busywork, Kate cosplaying a businesswoman), the Telegraph gets to the meat of it: Kate is a 41-year-old woman who is still learning and promising to eventually be keen. Congrats, everyone, we just got keened again.

Kate’s event with Charles & Camilla last year: “It was perhaps a more important moment than people realised at the time,” said one royal source. “It was the first joint engagement they had done in years, and when you look at the way the Princess of Wales has stepped up since then, it takes on even more significance.”

The Keen Template: “It’s quite tricky for William and Kate to know how to fit into this new role,” said one royal source, “but the King really did make a template for them and his encouragement, support and thought for how to do it – not telling them what to do but supporting them – is obvious. He knows how you make a role for yourself when you are not the head of state, and how you fill it sensibly and wisely, and William and Kate are both doing that.”

Camilla is seething: The Queen, too, is more than happy for the Princess to attract the headlines. Camilla has never been one to seek publicity, other than for the sake of the causes she champions, and she has not always found it easy to keep pace with the busy daily schedules that are a way of life for the King. Those close to the Princess say that not only do she and the Queen share a natural affinity as women who have both given up relatively normal lives when they married into the Royal family, but circumstance has often thrown them together, such as when they have ridden together in carriages at formal occasions, which has played a part in nurturing their friendship.

Kate is keen to do more!!! “It’s quite clear that Kate is keen to do more,” said the royal source. “I wouldn’t be surprised if there was another major project that she is intending to launch in the medium term. Obviously she will be consulting the King and Queen before she does that.”

Kate’s Business Taskforce: “This year has been a real milestone year for her,” said a palace source. “She has been focusing particularly on the area of work she is passionate about – early years and young people’s mental health – and the stepping up in that work has led to greater prominence. But the Princess – like the Prince of Wales – is getting on with the job, doing as much as possible to have as much impact as possible within the issues she cares about.”

A life in thirds: “She has devised a life plan based on dividing her time into thirds,” said one. “A third of her time is for parenting, a third is for being a wife – spending time with her husband and supporting him – and a third is for her projects and royal duties. I can’t imagine that will change, though with all three children now at school she will be juggling her time slots around, spending more time on her projects during the day and more time on the children in the evenings.”

It sounds like Kate doesn’t want to travel anymore: The logistics of trying to keep three children in check are rather more complicated. Apart from a week-long trip to the Caribbean in March last year, the couple have restricted foreign trips to a couple of days here and there, and have not carried out a blockbuster tour of any of the major Commonwealth realms – Canada, Australia, New Zealand – since 2016. That may be about to change, with palace sources saying plans for the next overseas tour are in the pipeline. With increasing talk of realms becoming republics, Project Kate will be vital to not only the future of the monarchy, but Britain’s influence on the world stage.

It’s always so amazing to me to read what amounts to William and Kate telling us how they need to be perceived. This is “image-making” in real time, only the Kensington Palace Brain Trust (Jason Knauf, assorted Tory political operatives, broke-ass Carole Middleton and a gopher wearing one of Kate’s wigs) can’t help but show their hand, over and over again. It’s literally all projection with them and every day is Opposite Day. Which means that Kate’s position has never been more tenuous, that she’s been relegated to a tiny separation cottage, that her marriage is in real trouble, that she’s so unimportant that no one will even let her hire a new private secretary (she’s been without one for a YEAR). You know what is also really pointed? The Camilla section – Charles and Camilla have the knives out for Buttons. Camilla wouldn’t even let Kate borrow a tiara for the coronation!

So, a few days ago, the British edition of OK! Magazine claimed that there were quiet plans in place for a meeting between Prince Harry and his garbage father. The idea behind it was that Harry and Meghan will be in Germany for the Invictus Games next month and King Charles invited Harry (and Harry alone) for a meeting in London the day after the games. Obviously, I thought the whole story had the stink of bullsh-t, but even more than that, it was part of Buckingham Palace’s wishful thinking, that Harry would tell Meghan to go home and he would fly in especially to see Charles, who would then probably snub him. It was definitely a weird story and not one which I took seriously. But guess who did take it seriously? Kensington Palace and Prince William. William was never part of the original reporting – the alleged meeting was supposed to be between Harry and Charles alone. So it’s curious that William and his people ran straight to the Daily Beast to deny the story. Hm.

Royal peace talks with Prince Harry are not on the agenda, contrary to what some reports have claimed, The Daily Beast can reveal. Royal insiders and friends of King Charles and Prince William have scoffed at reports that the king will sit down for talks with Prince Harry on Sept.

Buckingham Palace insiders dismissed the reports, and a friend of the king’s said that while they believed the king would always want to keep the door open to a reconciliation with Harry, they did not think a physical meeting would take place just three days before the king is due to make an important state visit to France.

A friend of Prince William said that even if Charles was of a mind to meet up with Harry—who, according to a report in Britain’s OK! magazine, was planning to stop over in the U.K. after attending the Invictus Games in Dusseldorf—there was “no chance” that William would agree to a tête-à-tête with Harry.

The friend of William told The Daily Beast: “Charles won’t be seeing Harry and nor will William. No chance. He feels utterly betrayed by what Harry wrote about him in the book and said about him on Netflix.”

Asked if William hated his brother, as a source previously told The Daily Beast, the friend said: “He feels betrayed. They were very close growing up so it has been very painful for William. But ultimately what can he do? Just look at Spare. It’s literally William’s worst nightmare. It is a total violation of his privacy. On top of that, Harry has criticized Kate and the way he is bringing up his children. It’s very, very sad. I think it is completely understandable that right now William is still absolutely disgusted by what his brother has done.”

OK! magazine quoted a source who said: “The king has a rescheduled official visit to France on Sept. 20 so has a few days to spare in London to meet with his son. Staff are trying to fine-tune the details as we speak.”

However, a friend who spoke to The Daily Beast brushed aside the claims while reiterating what seems to have become a default response among the king’s circle, saying: “The king loves both his sons and his door is always open to Harry. But I don’t think they will be meeting on Sept. 17. The king will be preparing for the state visit to France.”

Now.I actually believe that there was some kind of overture? I’m not saying that Harry and his father actually spoke (perish the thought), but that some palace lackey contacted Harry and asked if he would consider dropping by after the games. Then Charles leaked it, and William freaked the f–k out. William probably called his father and raged at him over the phone. It’s definitely weird that a story about Harry and Charles possibly meeting up has turned into a story about William throwing another f–king tantrum. While I don’t believe that Charles is actually ready to reconcile with Harry, I think it’s fascinating that this weak man has been boxed in so thoroughly by his Machevellian wife and his unhinged son.

Throughout the past year, I’ve remarked on the fact that Princess Charlene seems almost happy these days. She has Resting Sadface, for sure, but she seems relatively content with her situation, especially following her hospitalization and treatment in Switzerland in 2021-early 2022. Now, do I believe that Charlene and Albert have a healthy or loving marriage? No. I don’t, but I’ve assumed that they’ve worked out some kind of arrangement over the past 18 months, one which pleases Charlene and gives her some kind of peace. Back in March, Charlene and Albert formally denied that they had separated… but new European reporting suggests that they are living separate lives and it’s totally fine with them.

Princess Charlene of Monaco is ‘living in Switzerland’ and only sees her husband Prince Albert for ceremonial reasons, reports in German and French media have claimed. The royal, 45, has spent the summer of a yacht trip with her 65-year-old husband and their twins Jacques and Gabriella, eight. But she has not returned to the Palace and is living in abroad, fuelling speculation about the state of the marriage.

A source close to the couple told French newspaper Voici that the former Olympic swimmer and son of Grace Kelly are just a ‘ceremonial couple’.

The report adds that Charlene has promised to return to Monaco on official occasions and is now allowed to see her children more often. Albert and Charlène are now good partners, take turns taking care of the children,’ a source added to German newspaper Bild.

I don’t know, this sounds reasonable to me? Like, I totally believe that Charlene spends much of the year away from Albert, either at the “summer home” or in Switzerland. But she returns to Monaco for events and they’ve worked out some kind of lowkey custodial arrangement with their kids. This whole three-year episode with Charlene has been such a question mark, but she’s come out of it looking healthy and happy – whatever arrangement they have, it’s working.

In the past year, King Charles and the Prince of Wales have made it perfectly clear that they do not care about the British Commonwealth, nor do they care about the “kingdom” beyond the British isles. Sure, they want to hold on to Scotland and Northern Ireland, but Australia? New Zealand? Canada? They could not care less. The new king couldn’t even be bothered to visit any of his Commonwealth realms in his first year on the throne. Soon after QEII passed away, Charles’s people floated a plan for him to go barnstorming around the Commonwealth, only everyone simply forgot about it immediately and that plan went nowhere. Well, now on the eve of QEII’s death-anniversary, Charles wants Prince William and Kate to join him at a Balmoral summit to discuss the future of the monarchy, and how they’ll need to go back on some Commonwealth Flop Tours.

King Charles III is set to invite the Prince and Princess of Wales to a historic royal summit to decide on the future of the monarchy, it was claimed last night. The King plans to tell Prince William and Kate of his aims to carve out clear roles for each of them, as well as for himself and wife Queen Camilla. He hopes to use the couple’s ‘star quality’ to help unite the Commonwealth and secure the monarchy’s existence for future generations, sources told The Mirror.

Charles is to arrive at the late Queen’s much-loved home Balmoral on Monday, where the meeting will take place. The Prince and Princess of Wales will join him there, but head of the FA William will not be travelling to Australia to watch the Lionesses take on Spain in the first England World Cup Final since 1966 the day before.

A source close to the royals said: ‘His Majesty is very clear. The Commonwealth must be at the very heart of his reign. He sees it as his utmost duty to fulfil the sincere wish of his late mother, that one of his central roles must be to ensure not only the survival but the robustness (of the organisation).’

He is said to place great emphasis on the younger couple’s role in securing its survival, with plans to ensure they are ‘cementing their own future and that of the monarchy at large’, with the King to take advantage of Kate’s ‘undoubted star quality’.

The top royals will also discuss plans for at least the next year, including travel abroad, major events and key aims. It is set to be a busy year for the monarch, who will travel to Kenya with his wife in autumn. Next year the royals are travelling to Canada and Australia, according to the paper.

It is thought the royal family intend to try and shore up the Commonwealth, after a royal tour by William and Kate in the Caribbean last year drew a wealth of criticism, including for a photocall in which the pair took photographs with young people trapped behind a metal fence. Now sources have described the trip as a ‘massive wake-up call’, although denied it had been a ‘complete catastrophe’.

The Windsors didn’t learn the right lesson from that flop tour – they still don’t see themselves or their colonialist, racist and rude behavior as the problem. The “lesson” they learned from the flop tour is “don’t try, don’t make an effort, if these people don’t like our colonialist cosplay, then we’ll just go home in a huff and never visit you again!” That’s pretty much what Kensington Palace’s briefings said at the time.

Meanwhile, I keep thinking back to that curious piece in the Telegraph just days after the coronation – it was about Buckingham Palace attempting to apply pressure on Kate and William to do more. From that Telegraph piece in May: “William and Kate have not carried out a major foreign tour since March 2022 and are not expected to do the next one until next spring – a gap of two years… Last year the Prince of Wales carried out 126 official engagements in total, compared with the Princess Royal’s 214 and the King’s 181, meaning there is plenty of scope for increasing his workload.” It sounds like this Balmoral Summit will be Charles telling William and Kate that they’re lazy and they need to do more. And then William will throw a tantrum and say he can’t do more because of the environment! Literally, William just avoided a visit to Australia AND avoided doing his job as Football Association president. What makes anyone think that the Lazy Duo will step up now?

The Dusseldorf Invictus Games are being held from September 9th through the 16th. Prince Harry is due to arrive in Germany probably a few days before the games, and the Duchess of Sussex is scheduled to arrive half-way through the games, and she will have a role in the Closing Ceremony. My assumption is that Meghan and Harry will leave Germany together and head home to California. Not so fast, says Buckingham Palace. Harry’s dogsh-t father is trying to attach himself to Harry’s Invictus storyline. Apparently, there are rumors that Charles wants Harry (and Harry alone) to fly to London for “peace talks” on September 17th. Keep in mind, Prince William is due to visit New York on September 18 & 19.

The exact date that King Charles and Prince Harry are likely to ‘meet for peace talks’ has been revealed – but Meghan Markle isn’t expected to be there, according to a well-placed source. Prince Harry, 38, is reportedly due to fly back home to California via London next month when his Invictus Games end in Germany.

Meanwhile, the King, 74, is due to return from his summer holiday in Balmoral in mid September, meaning both the monarch and his youngest son will be in the British capital at the same time.

As such, it’s thought that the pair could meet with one another in the hopes of smoothing out tensions within the Royal Family, following the release of the Duke of Sussex’s explosive memoir Spare, and his and his wife’s Netflix docuseries.

Staff are reportedly making plans for the ‘peace talks’ to take place on September 17, ahead of the King’s trip to France on September 20, a source told OK! Magazine.

The source said: ‘King Charles is due to return to London from Balmoral in the middle of September which ties in with the end of Harry’s Invictus Games trip to Dusseldorf. The King has a rescheduled official visit to France on September 20 so has a few days to spare in London to meet with his son. Staff are trying to fine-tune the details as we speak.’

The insider added that Charles was also understood to have been upset by the claims his son made in his memoir Spare – particularly those concerning his wife Queen Camilla, who Harry felt ‘had sacrificed me on her personal PR altar’.

‘If the talks take place, the King will make it very clear that there will be absolutely no private family business discussed in public moving forward,’ they told OK!.

Although Meghan is said to be accompanying Harry to the Invictus Games, the source said it was ‘highly unlikely’ that she would be included in any ‘peace talks’ that took place between Harry and the King.

It’s still absolutely insane to me that Charles and the entire f–king family thinks they can just deal with Harry and never speak directly to Meghan. Harry has made it perfectly clear that Meghan deserves an apology and that he prioritizes Meg over his garbage family. And they’re still stuck in this mindset of “if we just get him alone, we can manipulate him into coming back or agreeing to our terms!” Anyway, considering Buckingham Palace’s one-year anniversary PR, I don’t think this is actually happening whatsoever. The Palace is making it clear that Charles is fine with a permanent estrangement with the Sussexes. He’s not going out of his way to schedule this, and again, by all accounts, H&M will leave Germany together after the games.

PS… Remember when we learned in Spare that H&M were actually in England way earlier last summer than previously believed? Harry took Meghan to Althorp, to Diana’s grave, for the anniversary of Diana’s death. I wonder if Harry has timed out a lowkey visit to Althorp during this trip too.

Last week, two of the Duchess of Sussex’s girlfriends took her out to lunch. Her colorist Kadi Lee and author Cleo Wade had lunch with Meghan somewhere – Montecito? LA? – and Kadi posted the photo, above, on her IG Stories. Meghan looked fresh-faced and beautiful. But did you know that this photo was hiding an evil secret?? Look at Meghan’s left hand, where she’s wearing her wedding band. That’s the evil secret, according to the British tabloids. Meghan wasn’t wearing her diamond engagement ring. Again, she wore her wedding band, but still – it became a story, because someone was being dragged for being too lazy to fly to Australia and do his job. For what it’s worth, a “source” told Page Six that Meghan wasn’t wearing her diamond ring because the ring was “being fixed.”

Speaking of Page Six – owned by the Murdochs – they had a weird piece about how Meghan “loves being famous.” Again, someone over in Rosebush, UK was particularly salty about all of the bad press he was getting, and this could have been the trade-off. After an exhaustive accounting of how many times we’ve seen Meghan in recent months, Page Six’s sources basically say that Meghan has new stuff in the pipeline and she and Harry are in a really good place personally and professionally.

Meghan’s gotten pap’d frequently in recent months: As an insider familiar with the Sussexes told us: “Meghan’s not seeking out opportunities to be photographed, but she’s realized she has to live her life, none of the cameras are going away.”

The new project: All of this comes as Markle — who signed with Hollywood powerbroker Ari Emmanuel’s WME — is putting the finishing touches on her new project, the one that everyone in her circle has been talking about. Will it be something to rival Gwyneth Paltrow’s multi-million dollar lifestyle business Goop, or something akin to Reese Witherspoon’s production company Hello Sunshine, which sold for a billion dollars? Will it even be “The Tig” 2.0, a revamp of Markle’s lifestyle blog? “Meghan and the team are working hard,” an insider tells Page Six. “I think it will be surprising, it won’t be what everybody is expecting it to be, it will feel familiar to who Meghan is.”

New sponsorship deals? Markle was just a customer for the NuCalm sticker when she wore last week during a visit to the dentist. Then the company quickly posted the photos on their Instagram and watched sales take off.. it shows to possible commercial partners or backers that Markle retains the ability to create viral sales as she once did for Rothy’s shoes and jewelry brands, just by being photographed. As we revealed, she’s still keen to join forces with her favorite brand, Cartier, although they have close ties with the royal family.

The Windsors were behind the “privacy” storyline: Indeed, her camp says it was the royal family — from whom the Sussexes remain very much estranged — who pushed that storyline. The insider said: “Nobody is fighting this whole privacy issue, this whole story of ‘don’t pay attention to us, pay attention to us’, it’s a total exaggeration, because the crux of Harry and Meghan’s move, in the beginning, was mostly spun from the palace that they wanted a more private life. They know they’ll never have a private life,” the insider stressed.

Meghan likes being famous? A more critical source, with knowledge from their time with Spotify, tells Page Six: “Harry has made it clear that he never wanted to be in the media…he would be very happy to go away. I think he’d like to go and live in Botswana – as long as he had money. Meghan actually likes being famous.” But a source in the couple’s orbit says that while Harry “understands that he’s a public figure” and that it would be “delusional to expect a life out of the spotlight,” it is Archie, 4, and Lilibet, 2, he is concerned about. “If he’s seen out getting dinner he doesn’t have a problem with it, but what he struggles with is protecting his children and their innocence, so much of what he felt was really challenging in his own life,” the insider says.

The Sussexes are fine: “They’re not divorcing, they’re not moving – they have more confidence and they’re at peace. They are making friends in their community and they’re feeling more comfortable to explore. With the (Netflix) documentary series and Harry’s book behind them, this is the end of that era. It was tough prior to the book and the documentary coming out, when you anticipate the worst. But this is really the closest we’ve seen Harry and Meghan achieve some level of normalcy — ever.”

I actually hope some of this is the truth. I hope Meghan is preparing to launch something new. I hope they’re at peace. I hope they’ve found their personal and professional rhythm. The privacy stuff is kind of fascinating too – I never really thought about it that way, that the Windsors pushed a storyline that all Harry and Meghan wanted was to go away and “be private.” The thing is, Harry did speak about wanting privacy for years, but I think Meghan has a more nuanced understanding of what privacy means to her and how best to use the attention she already gets. That being said, they’re trying to make Meghan sound like a famewhore, when really, she disappears from public view for months at a time. They’re basically saying that Meghan is making famewhore moves every time she leaves her house, because she could be photographed by a paparazzo. It’s insane.

Britney Spears’ communication of choice these days is through her Instagram. For months now, she responds to articles and gossip on IG, plus she films herself dancing and posing a lot. Well, Britney decided to do all of the above to respond to Sam Asghari filing for divorce. In a video where she was dancing around, she posted this message:

“As everyone knows, Hesam and I are no longer together … 6 years is a long time to be with someone so, I’m a little shocked but … I’m not here to explain why because its honestly nobody’s business !!! But, I couldn’t take the pain anymore honestly !!!

In some sort of telepathic way I have been receiving so many messages that melt my heart from friends and I thank you !!! I’ve been playing it strong for way too long and my Instagram may seem perfect but it’s far from reality and I think we all know that !!! I would love to show my emotions and tears on how I really feel but some reason I’ve always had to hide my weaknesses!!!

If I wasn’t my dad’s strong soldier, I would be sent away to places to get fixed by doctors !!! But that’s when I needed family the most !!! You’re supposed to be loved unconditionally … not under conditions !!!! So I will be as strong as I can and do my best !!! And I’m actually doing pretty damn good !!! Anyways have a good day and don’t forget to smile !!!

“If I wasn’t my dad’s strong soldier, I would be sent away to places to get fixed by doctors” made me wince. This situation is so comparable to Kanye West, in that they are both surrounded by people who aren’t in the position to get Kanye and Britney the help they need. Meanwhile, TMZ had this update, because they’re very focused on the money (and advocating for Sam):

Britney Spears will not have to ante up any money to estranged husband Sam Asghari, at least based on their prenup, but our sources say there’s a big reason she’ll feel compelled to write him a substantial check. Sources with direct knowledge of the prenup tell TMZ … Sam gets no payout in the event of divorce. In addition, the prenup precludes him from getting spousal support. He can keep the gifts Britney gave him and his cars, but that’s about it.

Our sources say there’s an “extensive confidentiality clause” in the prenup, prohibiting Sam from talking about his relationship with Britney. So on the surface, it seems Sam’s getting nothing of significance, but that’s not the case.

As we reported, Sam’s lawyer, Neal Hersh, filed divorce docs which ask for spousal support. Given the prenup precludes such support, Hersh’s move signals a challenge to the prenup. There are other elements of the divorce filing suggesting a challenge … writing about community and quasi-community property.

Again, the focus on money is so strange to me in this particular case. Britney’s father financially abused her for years and likely embezzled millions from her fortune. Britney has been paying Kevin Federline millions in support for like fifteen years. There isn’t some vast fortune which Sam wants a slice of. Don’t get me wrong, I think Britney will probably cut him a check as well, but it won’t be a major or significant settlement.
