There are so many dumb narratives pushed by the British media about the Sussexes, but there are a couple of narratives which I’m always like “wait, it would be amazing if Meghan actually did that.” Like, I would love to read a memoir written by Meghan. I would love it if Meghan restarted The Tig and began lifestyle-blogging again. And I would love to see her back on Instagram. Meghan has a good eye and natural style – that’s why the salt-royals always copykeen everything she does. But really, I want her to get back on Instagram because this 42-year-old woman still looks like a college student. Meghan’s colorist Kadi Lee posted the above photo on her IG Stories. The other woman in the photo is Cleo Wade, an author and one of Meg’s friends. This was apparently a belated birthday lunch, probably done when Meg’s husband was out of town. The Mail already obsessively ID’s Meghan’s necklace – the “Ariel Gordon Imperial Disc Pendant Necklace, which costs around $1,840 and can be engraved with names.” LOL.
Meanwhile, if you can believe it, we’re still talking about NuCalm discs and whether or not Meghan was paid to wear one last week. NuCalm has really been doing the most since those photos were published on Saturday. Granted, they’re riding a wave of free publicity, the likes of which most companies can only dream of. But it does feel like they’re being over-eager to attach themselves to Meghan. At least NuCalm is denying that the photos were spon-con.
Meghan Markle recently stepped out with a NuCalm anti-stress patch seemingly “strategically” placed on her wrist — but the brand is denying any “business relationship” with the Duchess of Sussex.
“We have never sponsored or paid for any product endorsements despite working with over 56 professional sports teams and hundreds of celebrities,” the brand tells Page Six in a statement. Instead, the company calls Markle a “loyal user of [their] technology.” The statement continues, “We never share who is using NuCalm, but if an athlete or celebrity wants to share, that is their prerogative.”
The denial comes after brand and culture expert Nick Ede told the Daily Mail that Markle’s “strategic placement from a relatively new start-up company who reposted the image of her in their own social media is a clear message that she is looking to build her lifestyle brand and create a platform for her followers to benefit from her experiences and the products that help her.”
Notably, NuCalm tells us they have been around since 2009.
Ede called the debunked partnership “a good way to go” on Monday, concluding, “The image was a clear message to say she’s stressed but she’s using a patch to help her. Her brand is very strong.”
This is one of those things I wish Meghan would just lean into, like restarting The Tig and rejoining Instagram. Like, do some spon-con, get paid, align yourself with a company whose products you actually use. Clearly, NuCalm is up for it and they’re gleeful about Meghan’s unpaid endorsement of their product. While the Mail’s “brand expert” is a moron, he’s right about one thing – Meghan’s personal brand is amazing and she can “sell” anything. I’ve wanted her to get a luxury purse campaign, but maybe this is the way to go.
In March of last year Bruce Willis’ family shared he was retiring from acting due to his diagnosis of aphasia, a neurological condition. Then earlier this year, the Willis clan updated his fans that his condition had progressed to frontotemporal dementia. With both announcements it was notable that the statements were from the family, not directly from Bruce. It wasn’t entirely surprising, given that both aphasia and FTD have symptoms of speech and communication difficulties, as well as potential emotional instability and loss of motor skills. The fact that Bruce wasn’t speaking for himself seemed to indicate the extent to which he was already dependent on caretaking.
Throughout his diagnosis (which likely began long before it was made public), his chief caretaker has been his wife of 14 years, Emma Heming. In an Instagram post on Monday, Emma briefly yet impactfully shared that she’s “not good,” but making a daily choice to break up the doom and gloom outlook that befalls caretakers. More on what Emma called her care partner PSA:
Bruce Willis’ wife, Emma Hemming Willis, is providing an update on how she’s doing amid her husband’s current health situation.
The former model has served as the actor’s caregiver since his frontotemporal dementia diagnosis, which was publicly revealed by his family in February.
In a new Instagram video, the Make Time Wellness founder tearfully sent a message to fellow “care partners,” letting it be known that although she may look like she’s handling it all well, it’s nowhere near easy.
The 45-year-old started the clip by addressing why it is she previously asked people in a position similar to hers to send her photos of “something beautiful,” which, she noted, are making her “so happy.”
“I just think it’s so important for us to sort of break up our thinking, which can feel, for me, very much like doom and gloom,” she admitted.
“I know it looks like I’m out living my best life. I have to make a conscious effort every single day to live the best life that I can,” she said, adding that it’s not only for herself, but for her and the Red star’s two children, and for “Bruce, who would not want me to live any other way.”
She furthered her transparent message by explaining, “I don’t want it to be misconstrued that I’m good, because I’m not. I’m not good, but I have to put my best foot forward for the sake of myself and my family.”
The pair wed in 2009, later welcoming daughters Mabel Ray, 11, and Evelyn Penn, 9.
In the caption of the August 14 social media post, the Malta-born entrepreneur made her intentions for the update clear.
“This is a care partner PSA. My message is simple. When we are not looking after ourselves, we are no good to the people we love who we want to show up for and take care of,” she wrote in the caption of the upload.
Heming Willis continued: “I don’t have this down to a fine-science either, but I try. It’s an affirmation I use daily so it’s kept in the forefront of my mind. Your pictures, words of support and love for me and my family were felt. Honestly, thank you, it helps. I ask that you’ll consider to keep looking for that one beautiful thing or moment in your day. And I hope you can take me seriously in my dopey hat.”
Bitches, this one really hit me in the gut. I’ve shared a little bit here on watching my mother be caretaker for my father after his stroke. She’s been on duty full time since he came home from the hospital and rehab four months ago. Last week he had to go back to the hospital. As awful as it may sound, my initial thought was of relief for my mother. Without meaning any disrespect towards my father—or Bruce, or any ill person—I have been much more worried about my mother throughout this whole period. I think of it as every emotion, everywhere, all at once. There’s heartbreak in seeing your partner in pain, fading away, and losing their dignity. There’s also, equally justified, anger and resentment with the situation (even sometimes directed at the ill partner). That in turn is often followed by guilt, playing out in an endless vicious cycle. I’ve seen all this in my mother over the past nine months. It’s just so much to bear.
Out of everything in the post, I appreciate most that Emma honestly says she is “not good.” She has two young daughters who are witnessing the decline of their father. I bet Emma is concerned everyday about how they are processing this moment. How much do you let them spend all the time they can with their father, versus how much do you try to protect them in their childhood?
I think she’s doing a mitzvah by reaching out like this to fellow care partners. It is so easy to get stuck in doom and gloom, and in my experience it’s usually an outside stimulus that helps me let go of the negative loop. Whether it’s sharing beautiful photos like Emma requested, sharing stories, or sharing an adorably dopey hat, it’s the connecting itself that helps. Sending my very best thoughts to Emma, Bruce, and their family.

There are so many reasons to love Dolly Parton but one of the things I admire the most about her is her commitment to promoting childhood literacy. Her charity the Imagination Library donates a free book to each child enrolled in the program, from birth (or whenever they are registered) until they turn five. Since 1995, it’s donated over 200 million books to over 2 million kids across five countries, including the United States. I know it’s active in many states, but the Library has just expanded statewide into Kansas. So Dolly went there and was interviewed by the governor, Laura Kelly, about why she started Imagination Library. Dolly’s dad couldn’t read, and he was embarrassed by that, so Dolly created this charity in his honor. One of the first places that Imagination Library expanded to outside of Tennessee was Pratt, Kansas, so this statewide expansion is a full-circle moment.
Country superstar, American icon and literacy champion Dolly Parton visited Overland Park on Monday to celebrate a new partnership with the state of Kansas, expanding her Imagination Library program.
Now, if you live anywhere in Kansas and you have a child under 5 years old, you can sign up your child for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. The result is that every month your child will receive a book in the mail completely for free.
Beyond the voice, beyond the magnetic personality, Dolly Parton describes her motivation for creating Imagination Library: her father.
“Being that far back in the mountains, Daddy didn’t go to school. My daddy didn’t learn to read or write. That troubled him, troubled me that he was troubled,” Parton said at the J KC’s White Theatre.
“Daddy got to live long enough to see Imagination Library take off, and I thought that was great,” Parton said.
“She is — she’s Dolly,” Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly said. “What can I say? There’s no question when she walked into the backstage that that was Dolly Parton.”
Kelly, acting as interviewer, notes the first expansion of Imagination Library outside of Tennessee (Parton’s home state) was into Pratt, Kansas.
The current push to bring the program statewide bookends that move that’s already considered popular in some spots.
“We were told that we would probably get about 1,000 kids in our first year. Well we had 1,000 kids in our first seven hours,” said Kim Hinkle, executive director of the Shawnee Mission Education Foundation.
The group was the first to adopt the program in Johnson County.
“If you sign your child up the day they’re born, they’ll have 60 books in their home library by the time they’re in kindergarten,” Hinkle said.
As if that weren’t enough, Dolly also visited Olympia, Washington, to celebrate statewide coverage for the Imagination Library there, too. The impact that this charity has makes me emotional just to think about. It can be challenging for people, especially in rural areas, to find and afford high quality books for their kids. Dolly designed this charity so thoughtfully, because getting a new book delivered each month makes a child feel excited and special, and gives them something to look forward to. (It also lightens the burden on parents, since they don’t have to remember to do anything.) The books are always age appropriate for the child, so that they may be challenged, but not overwhelmed by the reading level of the book. And there are braille books and audiobooks for children who need them. This is why Dolly is a national treasure. She has taken her power and influence and truly used it for good. And the Imagination Library isn’t just a one time thing–it’s an ongoing, years-long commitment to each child who is registered.

I really like Natasha Lyonne and am so happy that she’s gotten a big career boost over the past few years. I love both Russian Doll and Poker Face and can’t wait to see what she ends up doing next. I also love her style. I follow her on Instagram and she does a lot of fashion-related posts. To me, she’s one of those women who always looks really cool in whatever she’s wearing. She even makes crazy glasses look cool. Right now, Natasha is the face of Old Navy’s newest campaign, and in the promotion for it, she has some thoughts about looking stylish while still being comfortable.
??For Natasha Lyonne, comfort and style go hand in hand.
The Poker Face star — who fronts Old Navy’s newest campaign, launching today — knows how to turn it up for a red carpet or a night out, but always in something that makes her feel confident and completely herself.
“I really like being able to walk,” she tells PEOPLE exclusively of how she builds an outfit that’s “authentically Natasha.” “The thing I like the least about a look is not being able to move in my shoes. I find that so many people go to award shows and spend the whole night complaining about their shoes or clothes. I won’t play that game anymore. I’m too seasoned.”
Well, no lies detected there! I knew she was awesome. I like getting dressed up for a wedding or party but my days of wearing something that I feel like I can’t eat in or shoes that I can’t walk in are long over. I got a pair of Rothy’s for Christmas in 2019 and have never switched back to any kind of heel other than the occasional wedge (sorry, Kaiser!) with a dress in the summertime. I’ve also bought a bunch of comfy dresses with pockets over the past year or so, including two that I got from Old Navy. Oh, pocket dresses, where have you been all my life?
Anyway, much like Natasha, I find that the older I get, the more I just want to be comfortable in whatever I’m wearing in general. At this point in my life, I know what I feel comfortable in and don’t feel the pressure to deviate. Good for Natasha for keeping it real, as always. I wish I was able to rock a good pair of heels or crazy sunglasses, though! If that’s your thing, then right on, that’s awesome! May we all wear what we feel comfortable in and rock whatever we want to with confidence.

RICO charges, bitches!!! Donald Trump has now been indicted for a fourth time. It is truly a year-long Indictmas!! Donald Trump’s fourth indictment in thirteen months comes from the state of Georgia, and this is also about Trump’s criminal efforts to overturn the 2020 election results and ratf–k his way into a dictatorship. While Trump and his cronies pulled a lot of sh-t in a lot of states, Georgia was a special case, because the state-wide vote was so close and it took days to count every vote. Trump and his people were interfering with the election, tampering with the process at every level and colluding with local Republicans in Georgia in a massive criminal conspiracy. RICO charges, baby!!
Donald Trump was indicted in a fourth criminal investigation on Monday night, shortly after a Georgia prosecutor presented evidence to a grand jury regarding the former president’s efforts to overturn the state’s 2020 election results.
Through a majority vote, the 23-member jury revealed that they were ultimately convinced by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ case against Trump and his allies, signing off on her office’s proposed criminal charges after reviewing evidence and hearing testimony. The result was a 41-count, 98-page indictment covering 19 defendants.
Trump faces 13 felony counts: racketeering (violation of the Georgia RICO Act); three counts of solicitation of violation of oath by a public officer; conspiracy to commit personating a public officer; two counts conspiracy to commit forgery in the first degree; two counts of conspiracy to commit false statements and writings; conspiracy to commit filing false documents; filing false documents; and two counts of false statements and writings.
The Fulton County charges bring him to a total of 91 criminal counts he’s been indicted on this year between the four investigations, several of which come with recommended prison time. If convicted of violating the Georgia RICO Act — classified a step above felony, as a “serious felony” — Trump would face a mandatory minimum sentence of five years.
Eighteen allies were also charged, including former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows; former Trump attorneys Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell, John Eastman, Jenna Ellis, Bob Cheeley, Ray Smith III and Kenneth Chesebro; former assistant U.S. attorney general Jeffrey Clark; former Georgia Republican Party Chairman David Shafer; and current Georgia state Sen. Shawn Still. Additional defendants include a GOP strategist, local elections officials, an Atlanta bail bondsman, a publicist, an Illinois pastor and a onetime congressional candidate.
After the indictment was processed on Monday night, Willis said that she would request a trial date within six months with the goal of trying all 19 defendants together.
This Georgia indictment is probably the coolest one of all because this time, they really will frog-march that ratf–king treasonous monster to booking, where he will be fingerprinted, weighed and photographed for his mug shot. Might I suggest a mandatory delousing and a wig removal? Another fun fact is that Georgia allows television cameras in court, so his trial in the state will be televised.

We haven’t heard anything about Rose Hanbury since she turned up at the coronation wearing the same style of Aquazzura heels which the Duchess of Sussex used to wear. Kate also bought the same style too – everyone on Salt Isle loves to copykeen Meghan. Anyway, yes, Rose went to the coronation because her husband, David Rocksavage aka the Marquess of Cholmondeley, is friends with King Charles. Charles appointed David as his new Lord-in-Waiting, and Charles also asked David and Rose’s sons to act as page boys at the coronation. You see, it was never even a possibility that Kate would have succeeded in mean-girling Rose out of the royal social circle. Rose is simply too well-connected, too rich, too popular. It feels like Kate has finally come around the aristocratic way of “how to handle your husband f–king another woman.” The aristocratic women deal with that problem by befriending their husband’s mistresses. Kate finally got with the program – Kate and Rose went to the Houghton Festival, which is hosted at Rose and David’s palatial estate.
The Princess of Wales appears to take the view that what’s good for the goose is good for the gander. After Prince William was seen dancing at the London nightclub Koko with his old mucker Guy Pelly in June, Catherine is said to have gone raving herself. The Princess, 41, is understood to have made her first ever visit to a music festival at the weekend, albeit a very upper-class one.
She was dining with her Norfolk neighbours, the Marquess and Marchioness of Cholmondeley, David and Rose, at their Palladian stately home, Houghton Hall. At the time, the Houghton Festival was taking place on their 1,000-acre estate.
‘After dinner, one of the guests suggested that Catherine go to the festival,’ a source told the Daily Mail. ‘Catherine was nervous about the idea, but, after much discussion with her protection officers, she went with lots of security. William wasn’t there.’
Billed as Britain’s only 24-hour music festival, it is the brainchild of DJ Craig Richards, who launched the event in 2017. More than 200 artists performed across 13 stages from last Thursday to Sunday with music playing somewhere on the Houghton Estate site at all times. More than 12,000 revellers were expected to attend.
Although Catherine is not known to have previously attended a festival, she does like to dance. While still plain Kate Middleton, she was pictured attending a roller-disco with friends including the jockey Sam Waley-Cohen in 2008.
A Kensington Palace spokesman declined to comment, so it’s not clear why William didn’t join his wife. It was the Glorious Twelfth on Saturday so the heir to the throne, a keen shot, could have been on a grouse-shooting trip with friends.
Catherine’s lively night out is just the latest example of the warm friendship between the future king and queen and the Cholmondeleys, nicknamed the ‘Turnip Toffs’, who live just a few miles from their Norfolk retreat, Anmer Hall.
“What’s good for the goose is good for the gander” and “the latest example of the warm friendship between the future king and queen and the Cholmondeleys…” They all know. Every royal reporter, every British editor, every society writer, every aristo, they all know about William and Rose’s alleged affair. They all know how long it lasted, they all know how Kate reacted to it and they all know how Rose put Kate in her place. Eden also noted, at the very end of this piece, “Rose soon produced an heir and spare, twins Alexander and Oliver. Like Catherine, she has since given birth to a third child, Iris.” Conspiracy theorists love to point out that Iris looks remarkably like Charlotte, as in… the two children perhaps share some DNA. Personally, I think the two girls look alike because Kate and Rose look somewhat similar. Rose is more of a natural beauty. As for Rose convincing Kate to enjoy the music festival… lol. I would love to see this whole story dramatized in an Oscar Wilde-style play.

This is one of the most heartbreaking stories I’ve ever read. In 2009, The Blind Side was released to some acclaim, and Sandra Bullock eventually won the Best Actress Oscar for her performance. The film purported to tell the “true story” of Michael Oher, a boy from a tough, poverty-stricken background and how he was “saved” by a wealthy white family, Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy. The Blind Side’s version of events were nowhere near the reality, although everyone involved believed that the bare bones story was correct: that the Tuohys formed a relationship with a teenage boy and they adopted him and shepherded him into a brilliant college football career and eventual NFL career. Turns out, the Tuohys didn’t adopt him. Instead, they formed some kind of conservatorship in which they bilked Oher out of his life rights and millions of dollars. Now Oher is suing the Tuohys because he only recently learned that they never adopted him and that this huge fraud was perpetrated against him. You can read the full depressing ESPN story here. Here are some of the basics:
Retired NFL star Michael Oher, whose supposed adoption out of grinding poverty by a wealthy, white family was immortalized in the 2009 movie “The Blind Side,” petitioned a Tennessee court Monday with allegations that a central element of the story was a lie concocted by the family to enrich itself at his expense. The 14-page petition, filed in Shelby County, Tennessee, probate court, alleges that Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy, who took Oher into their home as a high school student, never adopted him. Instead, less than three months after Oher turned 18 in 2004, the petition says, the couple tricked him into signing a document making them his conservators, which gave them legal authority to make business deals in his name.
The petition further alleges that the Tuohys used their power as conservators to strike a deal that paid them and their two birth children millions of dollars in royalties from an Oscar-winning film that earned more than $300 million, while Oher got nothing for a story “that would not have existed without him.” In the years since, the Tuohys have continued calling the 37-year-old Oher their adopted son and have used that assertion to promote their foundation as well as Leigh Anne Tuohy’s work as an author and motivational speaker.
“The lie of Michael’s adoption is one upon which Co-Conservators Leigh Anne Tuohy and Sean Tuohy have enriched themselves at the expense of their Ward, the undersigned Michael Oher,” the legal filing says. “Michael Oher discovered this lie to his chagrin and embarrassment in February of 2023, when he learned that the Conservatorship to which he consented on the basis that doing so would make him a member of the Tuohy family, in fact provided him no familial relationship with the Tuohys.”
Oher’s petition asks the court to end the Tuohys’ conservatorship and to issue an injunction barring them from using his name and likeness. It also seeks a full accounting of the money the Tuohys earned using Oher’s name, and to have the couple pay him his fair share of profits, as well as unspecified compensatory and punitive damages.
“Since at least August of 2004, Conservators have allowed Michael, specifically, and the public, generally, to believe that Conservators adopted Michael and have used that untruth to gain financial advantages for themselves and the foundations which they own or which they exercise control,” the petition says. “All monies made in said manner should in all conscience and equity be disgorged and paid over to the said ward, Michael Oher.”
ESPN goes on to correct the record about Oher’s childhood, which was not what was portrayed in The Blind Side. Oher was already a smart, high-achieving kid who had come to the attention of a private school in Memphis, where he got a scholarship as a foster kid. He began spending nights at his school friends’ homes, which is how he came to know the Tuohys. He was not illiterate or intellectually challenged whatsoever. At the time, he thought he was being welcomed into their family and he didn’t realize until THIS YEAR that at no point did they ever legally adopt him. They also screwed him out of his life rights – he was paid nothing for The Blind Side, while the Tuohys raked in millions.
Oher waited until his NFL career was over in 2016 to investigate what the f–k was happening with the money and with the Tuohys. He hired a lawyer who eventually helped him uncover all of this. In February, they discovered the conservatorship and the fact that Oher was never adopted. His lawyer tells ESPN: “Mike didn’t grow up with a stable family life. When the Tuohy family told Mike they loved him and wanted to adopt him, it filled a void that had been with him his entire life. Discovering that he wasn’t actually adopted devastated Mike and wounded him deeply.” The Tuohys are going to HELL.
I’m still bewildered by the British media’s insistence on their 2023 Summer Storyline: Harry and Meghan are in trouble, despite all evidence to the contrary. I guess that’s the storyline the British consumer wants to hear and wants to believe. Prince Harry and Meghan are simply two private people, raising their children and minding their business in Montecito, and the entirety of the British national press is devoted to this mind-numbing commentary about them. It’s been three-and-a-half years since they left. They’re not coming back. There’s an added element to this latest piece in the Sun – it’s one of the tabloids being sued by Harry, so they’ve settled on a bonus storyline that no one in Harry’s life supports his lawsuits, including Meghan. Some highlights:
Harry frets about his children’s safety: They have only been seen together in public four times in the past eight months and have been dogged by claims their marriage is on the rocks. And now it seems while Prince Harry works on more solo projects and frets about his children’s safety, Meghan wants to move back into public life — with Archie, four, and Lilibet, two, by her side.
Different parenting styles: An insider said the couple have different ideas on parenting, and that Harry has been very affected by his public upbringing. Archie and Lilibet are rarely seen beyond the family’s £11million Montecito mansion. But while Harry, 38, has an obsession with security and privacy, Meghan wants to raise them openly in California.
Meghan doesn’t like Harry’s lawsuits: And she has not been overly impressed by Harry’s recent focus on three high-profile High Court cases in London against the media — including a phone-hacking claim against The Sun which was thrown out by the judge last month. Although she supports him, she has not delivered the ultimate show of solidarity by accompanying him to court.
Their disagreements: An insider said: “They disagree sometimes on certain approaches. Meghan would love to be done with all the legal stuff. But she’s still supportive of him as she knows how important it is to him. But she is ready to move on. They have a beautiful life in California and new friends. Montecito is paradise. Harry is very outdoorsy, he loves it there.”
Meghan & WME: Although she has signed up with LA talent agency William Morris Endeavour, they “go to see her” rather than Meghan making the six-hour round trip.
Isolation: The couple’s self-imposed isolation is behind the heavily guarded walls of their nine-bedroom, 16-bathroom home with chicken coop and tennis court. A source said of Harry: “There is a difference in how he has grown up. He fears for his own children because of what he has gone through.”
Real talk: I think Harry and Meghan probably have had some disagreements (not arguments) about how much their kids should be exposed to the world. In another world, Meghan would have loved to put photos of her kids on Instagram and show her pride in her family. I was actually surprised that we did see so many photos and videos of the kids on the Netflix series, but that was very controlled and we rarely saw their full faces. But yeah, I think at this point, they’re on the same page. Plus, the Sun is basically just complaining because they’re desperate to see blue-eyed Lili and cutie-pie Archie. Their kids are beautiful and the British papers wish they could publish photos of them. As for the idea that Meghan wants Harry to move on from the lawsuits… again, they’re just desperate for Meghan to come to London to “support” Harry in court. I think Meghan knows this is something Harry has to do and she’s very supportive of him in this and all things.

The Duchess of Sussex’s brief time in the UK broke a lot of brains over there. I’m still shocked by just how many men and women can’t seem to get over the fact that Meghan gave that country a shot, then she took her man and her child and dipped. This is a story about one of those broken-brain people. So, there are too many British C-listers or D-listers who I simply couldn’t pick out of a line-up. I’m sure I’ve heard the name “Lizzie Cundy” before now, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a photo of her before this post. Holy sh-t, you guys. Talk about botched plastic surgery, fish-lipped hatchet-faces. Well, Lizzie Cundy is desperate for attention and she heard that there’s a billion-dollar industry in hating Meghan. This bitch wants a piece of that action.
Lizzie Cundy has hit out at ex-pal Meghan Markle following her explosive Netflix series with her husband Prince Harry. The TV personality, 54, has previously said she became friends with the Duchess of Sussex after the pair bonded at a charity dinner together in 2013.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Star at a dog fur-iendly event at Romeo and Juliet’s café last week, she said: “Look I’m gonna be honest with Meghan and Harry. Obviously, I knew Meghan before she got with Harry. I just think it’s great they’re doing their charity work, but I just think it’s a bit of a shame to have to do it with the camera crew there.”
She went on to brand their documentary series a “publicity stunt” and begged the couple to do some good deeds without sharing their good work with the public. Lizzie went on: “Why are they doing it? And I just think maybe do some good stuff without the cameras there for a pat on the back. They haven’t been seen together for a long time and I just think this is – shall I say – a publicity stunt, possibly?”
The broadcaster passed on some of the pearls of wisdom she received from her close friend and music mogul Simon Cowell. The TV star pointed out: “I think people know real things. Simon Cowell always says to me, ‘Be real because the audience can see through it’. And I just think now people have seen through Meghan.”
Again, Meghan and Harry don’t have social media nor are they regularly showing up at charity events with cameras. My problem with M&H is that they SHOULD document their charity work more, they should have a newsletter and they should have an Archewell Instagram set up to highlight the local, state, national and international work they’re doing. Obviously, Lizzie Cundy is just auditioning for a talk-show gig or an appearance on Dan Wootton’s show.
Also: as I was trying to figure out who the f–k this woman is, I found this other interview she gave a few weeks ago, where she was once again trashing her “former friend” Meghan.
“I don‘t want to see any couples split up when any marriage falls apart. It’s sad, especially when you have children. (But) we could all see the writing was on the wall, it‘s very different when you’re a celebrity princess than being a royal princess and frankly Meghan just wasn’t up for the job.” The 55-year-old socialite went on to explain Meghan wasn’t much of a fit for “doing all the roles that royals do”, like opening hospitals for example.
“It’s not easy, it’s not glamorous, it’s not like on the red carpet,” she said. “I think Meghan thought she was going to be the top dog star of the show and Princess Kate was always going to have that role.” In Cundy’s opinion, a potential divorce would be “in some respects better for Harry”, with the TV personality urging the world to look at the relationship from his perspective. “We‘ve got to look at it from Harry’s side. He’s in California now, he’s got none of his friends. He’s got no family, he’s got a rift with his father and his brother, it must be very lonely at times,” she concluded.
The absolute audacity of this woman. Imagine arguing (simultaneously) that Meghan wanted to be top-dog at drudge royal work, and only Kate can do that (except Kate doesn’t do that or any work at all). All of the projection about the Sussex marriage too… I’m constantly disgusted by the sense of ownership people still have on H&M.
