This is TMZ video footage of Justin Bieber being placed in a chokehold by Coachella security on Sunday night. Such drama! I’m not cheering for anyone being placed into such a compromising position, but considering how Bieber choked Chris Brown for funsies last year, he had it coming. And no one got hurt here. The purpose of the chokehold was to reel in a tantruming Swaggy. He was demanding special treatment at Drake’s show. Swaggy tried to walk into the artist’s entrance, and security stopped him because the area was already full. Instead of acting like a calm and rational human being (which he claims to be), Bieber argued with security. A sympathetic Coachella employee started to let Bieber have his way, and security didn’t like it one bit. Hence the chokehold, and Swaggy quickly found himself ejected from the festival.
Bieber and his entourage walked to the artist’s entrance where Drake was performing, when they were stopped by security and told the area was at capacity and they couldn’t come in. Bieber and his crew showed security they had the proper wristbands to gain entry.
Eyewitnesses tell TMZ, Bieber argued with security, saying there was no way he could stand in a big crowd because he’d get bombarded by fans. Security wasn’t having it and told him to leave.
We’re told Bieber persisted and said he was personally invited by Drake and had been waiting all weekend to see him perform. Bieber didn’t stand down and security was pissed.
At that point a Coachella staffer came up to Bieber and said she would escort him inside the artist’s area. She grabbed Bieber by the arm and began walking him and his security team inside, when Coachella security came up from behind and put Bieber in a chokehold.
We’re told Bieber’s team got into it with security and the singer was then ordered to leave the festival.
Sources close to Bieber say he voluntarily left, and they’re considering taking legal action against the security guards.

Bieber is threatening to sue, although I’m not sure what damages he could possibly claim. This post-chokehold whining is pretty rich coming from a guy whose security regularly beats people up inside of clubs to defend his honor. Bieber didn’t get exactly what he wanted at Drake’s gig, so he’s pitching a toddler fit. Go sit down in the corner, young man.
Oh, and people are making a huge deal out of how Selena Gomez “liked” one of Swaggy’s Instagram posts. So there may be another reunion soon. Here are pics of Swaggy leaving Coachella on Friday night with Kylie Jenner’s bad hair extensions.

Yesterday, a short post on Lindsay and Dina Lohan showed up on TMZ, and it involved Dina selling Lindsay’s stuff – shoes, clothes, furniture, artwork – that is being stored at Dina’s house. Basically, the Lohans have entered Judge Judy territory.
Blake Lively covers the new issue of Allure. It occurred to me over the weekend: Blake Lively and Scarlett Johansson are hitting separate promotional trails at the same time. ScarJo, Ryan Reynolds’ first wife, is promoting The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Blake, Ryan’s second wife, is promoting The Age of Adeline. Which “Age” will be victorious? Um, I think we all know the answer to that. Anyway, these Allure photos are beautiful. I like Blake’s hair a little darker like this. Here are some highlights from the interview:
Her work on Gossip Girl: “People loved it, but it always felt a little personally compromising—you want to be putting a better message out there. The lines become blurred. It doesn’t help when everybody is dating who they’re dating on the show, and you’re also saying to the costume designer, ‘Hey, can I take that home?’ It’s a weird thing when people feel like they know you really well, and they don’t. I would not be proud to be the person who gave someone the cocaine that made them overdose and then shot someone and slept with someone else’s boyfriend.”
Announcing her pregnancy on Preserve: “That was my way of owning that moment. I can’t be someone like Beyoncé and be like— [Lively mimes Beyonce’s mic-drop] – but it was important for us. It was a struggle, because we want to keep our privacy, but we also don’t want our lives to be exploited by other people. So we did it simply; it was a quiet way, an elegant way.”
Breastfeeding: “It’s a full-time job. I’m, like, driving down the road, pumping.”
The idea of “having it all”: “Most of the things I do are all-consuming, but somehow I find a way to do it all. It’s not having it all; it’s about doing it all but it’s dangerous to dilute that to a catchphrase. Having it all could be having a happy, healthy family, and you could be a mom who stays at home, and that is the most admirable thing you could do. Or it could be having a profession that you really believe in, and not having a family, and doing what fulfills you. If it’s not a part of a conversation with someone face-to-face, those bites are why women tear each other apart or why the media will tear people apart.”
Juggling motherhood with career: “I look at the big picture. Most women don’t get that. There’s a lot of pressure on women to be a certain thing, and there are compromises you have to make. You don’t get to be with your family all the time; most women don’t. I don’t believe I have to choose—who says so? Who says we can’t do anything that we set our mind to? You may not be the best at it. You may not be the most successful. But you can try your best. That’s what having it all means to me—not letting anyone tell me no but myself.”

I rolled my eyes when Blake describes her own pregnancy announcement as “quiet and elegant.” Girl, you used your pregnancy to shill your lifestyle site!! As for Blake’s comments about having it all/doing it all and work/motherhood struggles, I know what she’s trying to say and I agree with her. I just think she could have taken the time to list more examples other than “the most admirable thing” of being a stay-at-home mom versus not having kids and working. There are more options than that! Which is what she was trying to say, she just fell into her own verbal trap.
Oh, and calling Gossip Girl “personally compromising”? Blake, don’t disrespect the show that made you a star.

Rita Wilson, 58, has a new article in People Magazine detailing her personal health crisis following a breast cancer diagnosis. Her story is a little complicated and I hope I can explain it well. For years, Rita has had abnormal breast tissue that is not in itself cancerous, but indicates an increased chance of developing cancer later on. It’s called lobular carcinoma in situ and is when abnormal cells are found in the milk ducts/lobules of the breasts. Due to this pre-existing condition, Rita gets regular mammograms. In a breast biopsy, they found other types of abnormal cells in her ducts (they’re called pleomorphic lobular carcinoma in situ) which are also not cancerous, but often co-exist with cancerous cells. (Here’s a study with more on that.)
One doctor told Rita that the additional abnormal cells did not indicate that she had cancer, but a friend encouraged her to get a second opinion. A second and then a third doctor confirmed the existence of actual cancerous cells in her ducts (called invasive lobular carcinoma) and so she opted for a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. She had the procedure last week and is sharing her story now. Here’s what she told People:
“I have taken a leave from the play Fish in the Dark to deal with a personal health issue. Last week, with my husband by my side, and with the love and support of family and friends, I underwent a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction for breast cancer after a diagnosis of invasive lobular carcinoma. I am recovering and most importantly, expected to make a full recovery. Why? Because I caught this early, have excellent doctors and because I got a second opinion.
“I have had an underlying condition of LCIS, (lobular carcinoma in situ) which has been vigilantly monitored through yearly mammograms and breast MRIs. Recently, after two surgical breast biopsies, PLCIS (pleomorphic carcinoma in situ) was discovered. I mention this because there is much unknown about PLCIS and it is often found alongside DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ). I was relieved when the pathology showed no cancer.
“However, a friend who had had breast cancer suggested I get a second opinion on my pathology and my gut told me that was the thing to do. A different pathologist found invasive lobular carcinoma. His diagnosis of cancer was confirmed by, yet, another pathologist. I share this to educate others that a second opinion is critical to your health. You have nothing to lose if both opinions match up for the good, and everything to gain if something that was missed is found, which does happen. Early diagnosis is key.
“I feel blessed to have a loving, supportive husband, family, friends and doctors and that I am the beneficiary of advances in the field of breast cancer and reconstruction. I am getting better every day and look forward to renewed health.
“I hope this will encourage others to get a second opinion and to trust their instincts if something doesn’t ‘feel’ right.”

A friend of mine had an abnormal mammogram and was told that her biopsy was not cancerous so I will tell her about this story in case it’s useful at all. I feel like a tool for bringing it up, but I will talk to her about it. It’s hard to talk to friends and family about these very serious health issues. When people like Rita Wilson and Angelina Jolie reveal their personal health issues it helps open up conversations that may save lives.
Unfortunately not everyone can afford to get a second opinion as Rita did and she acknowledges this in her statement. NPR had a sobering report this morning about how some cancer patients are opting out of treatments because they’re too expensive. It’s a similar story for early detection and preventative treatment.
Stop acting like it was your idea. I’ve been riding this Gossip Genie wish since 2010. It’s been FIVE YEARS.
Here are Rachel McAdams and Jake Gyllenhaal having dinner together in LA on Sunday.
Is it happening? Is it finally actually happening?
Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and North West in Jerusalem yesterday. They finished their tour of Armenia and then flew to Israel for some more sightseeing, apparently. Kim, Yeezus and North went to the Armenian St. James Cathedral in Jerusalem’s Old City so that North could be baptized. I didn’t realize that North hadn’t been baptized until now? How was that not a very special episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians before now?
Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West had their 22-month-old daughter, North, baptized in Jerusalem on Monday, the reality star’s rep confirms to PEOPLE. According to The Jerusalem Post, the ceremony took place at Cathedral of St. James in the historic Armenian Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem, which goes back to the 4th Century AD.
“They flew [into Jerusalem] especially for [the baptism],” a close family source tells PEOPLE. “They knew it was close to Armenia and it was always a dream to come to Jerusalem. There’s an Armenian quarter and they did it at this old beautiful church. It was epic. So beautiful.”
The Kardashian-West family and Khloé Kardashian, who was named North’s godmother according to E!, touched down in the Holy Land on Monday after a five-day trip to Armenia. They’ll leave for Jordan on Tuesday, TMZ reports.

Well… good for them? I’m not religious at all but I’ve always wanted to see Jerusalem. At the very least, Kanye and Kim should be applauded for getting out of their comfort zone of LA-to-NY-to-Paris, you know?
Kim and Kanye also had dinner with Jerusalem’s mayor, Nir Barkat, at a restaurant called Mona. Barkat told reporters that “they raised a toast to Jerusalem and he asked the couple to be ambassadors of Jerusalem and tell all that Everyone is welcome in Jerusalem.” Seriously. Ambassadors of Jerusalem?!
And finally, the night before the group left Armenia, Kanye did a surprise concert. And at the end, he walked into a lake/pond thing and got swarmed by fans. Here’s the video:

She’s got that glow!
Expectant mama Jessie James looked simply radiant at the Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 premiere in New York City on Saturday (April 11). Joined by husband, NFL star Eric Decker, and their 1-year-old daughter Vivienne, the country singer, 27, looked casual chic in skinny jeans and a pretty plaid top.
“Kept it southern today at the #mallcop2 movie premier,” the mom-to-be Instagrammed a shot from the event.
The Eric & Jessie: Game On star went on to share another family photo from the NYC premiere.
“It could not be more opposite than it was with Vivianne,” the singer told PEOPLE of her second pregnancy. “The first time I threw up every day, I was really sick, really exhausted.”
She added: “This one, I have more energy and I don’t feel as sick, no cravings. The only way I really know I’m pregnant is I feel this bump growing and a baby moving around.”
For now, the reality star couple are keeping their baby’s gender a secret.
“I’m not saying it yet, but we’re very excited,” she shared.

Sarah mentioned in the previous article about Chris Evans that he was supposedly, um, pretty peppy at the premiere last night. I just watched all of them playing Family Feud on Kimmel before they hit the carpet and, with the exception of RDJ, I think all of them were lit.
Benedict Cumberbatch visited a “massage parlor” in Shanghai and these are the (blurry, low-quality) photos. He seems to have gone to the Taipan Oriental Massage & Spa with some friends. Bendy has been in Shanghai for days now – he had a big promotional event for MG (he became a brand ambassador and the face of MG GTS) on Saturday, and he’ll be hosting the Laureus World Sports Awards tomorrow in Shanghai. Apparently, Bendy is also “involved” with the UK-China Year of Cultural Exchange. As for the massage parlor… let’s just be nice and say he received a straight-up massage. And since it’s a spa as well, maybe he also got a mud wrap and a facial. Sure. Why not?
While Benedict was attending the Chinese Grand Prix over the weekend, he spoke to the press about his impending fatherhood and how he’s looking to some of his fellow actors for parenting inspiration.
“I think there are plenty of good actors who are fathers. I mean, you only have to look at Daniel Day-Lewis as an example and a lot of my dear friends: Mark Strong, I mean, I could go on and on. I think what children do is enhance your life, they don’t inhibit it. They don’t limit it, they give you inspiration and depths of understanding of the human condition and what it is to be on this planet and what our purpose is, that goes well beyond anything a childless actor could hope for.
“I’m so excited to meet my child and it’s a huge part of my life and it’ll be the most important part of my life, as it should be. I know, I can speak for many other friends of mine, Martin (Freeman) is another example who springs to mind, who managed to balance a home life and a work life. It’s not easy, but then everyone is doing it, everyone I know who has children is managing it, so it’s not impossible.”
[From ET Canada]
I think he’s genuinely excited about becoming a father, but I also think he’s going to have a tough adjustment, especially since he’s scheduled back-to-back projects for the next year. He couldn’t even stay home and nest with Sophie, that’s how much of a workaholic he is, he just had to fly to Shanghai when Sophie is (likely) ready to give birth any day now. I also think his wording is so strange (DOCTOR STRANGE), from “depths of understanding of the human condition” to “but then everyone is doing it.”
