I’ve always enjoyed Ludacris, so just give me that, please! I don’t want to hear ten million stories about how so-and-so says he’s a d-bag and this and that. I enjoy him as an actor too – his arc on Law & Order: SVU was brilliant. Anyway, Ludacris has a new interview with Elle and I enjoyed it. He talks about his new wife – he married Eudoxie Mbouguiyenegue over the Christmas holiday – as well as his love for The Devil Wears Prada, and much more. Some highlights:

He wants to make music perfect for strip clubs: “The best way for me to describe it is it has a particular bounce to it. In Atlanta, we have some of the best strip clubs in the world. They have these poles, and they go all the way to the ceiling. It’s almost like a damn Cirque du Soleil show. A lot of women go. They’re not so ashamed.”

His favorite chick flick: “The Devil Wears Prada. I’m dead-ass serious. I love that movie. It’s not even so much a chick flick….It’s about leadership and focus. That’s one of my favorite movies of all time, honestly. Period.”

What he hopes to teach his 13-year-old daughter: “Independence. Striving for excellence. Her schedule is damn near busier than mine. She’ll have piano one day and acting another day and dance another day. The number-one thing I try to get across is we’re in a digital age where it’s cool to be on your iPhone all the time. So all of those activities I mentioned are about getting her away from that. People are on video games and their phones, and it’s taking up all their mental space.

What he learned from his mom: “She didn’t have to tell me much. She’s a very hardworking individual. And self-educated. She worked three or four jobs at one time. She worked at a real estate agency, she worked at a grocery store, she was going to school part-time. Basically she’s the perfect model for me. I’m a mama’s boy, of course. I’m an only child.

Why he got married now: “Life is all about timing, to be honest with you. I don’t doubt any plans that the Man Upstairs has for me. And I listen closely to Him guiding me to where I need to be. I talk to the Man Upstairs every day.”

Whether he would vote for Hillary Clinton for president: “It depends on who she’s running against, my friend.”

I just got this mental image of Ludacris sitting down on the couch with his daughter and getting so into The Devil Wears Prada that he’s reciting all the lines. Do you think that happens? Do you think he adores Meryl Streep? Is he a secret Anne Hathaway super-fan? Or is he all about Emily Blunt?

As for his thoughts on Hillary Clinton… I’ll admit that I sort of feel the same way. I mean, I know I’m probably going to have to vote for Clinton no matter what, because the Dems aren’t running anyone substantial against her and the Republican field is littered with wingnuts. But it just feels like there are large segments of the population looking to vote Democratic and Hillary isn’t a good enough reason.

I’ve been missing Michael Fassbender a lot lately. Not just Fassy gossip, although that would nice and, I’m sorry, but Alicia Vikander isn’t doing it for me. But I’m been missing him on-screen too. Did anyone go and see Frank last fall? It was such a small movie and it was barely in a handful of theaters. I saw X-Men: Days of Future Past, but it didn’t even feel like that was Fassy’s movie (like X-Men: First Class) as much as Hugh Jackman’s movie or even Jennifer Lawrence’s movie.

So, yes, it feels like we’ve been going through a Fassy drought. But maybe this year will be better. He’s got Macbeth, The Light Between Oceans, that Terrence Malick movie (which might even be released this year, you never know), possibly the Steve Jobs movie, and then this long-gestating project, Slow West. Fassy produced Slow West and he stars as some kind of Wild West outlaw with a heart of gold (or something). Here’s the brand new trailer:

It looks like what the Coen Brothers attempted with their remake of True Grit. Sort of sassy and darkly humorous, but with people actually getting killed. And yes, that’s RORY MCCANN. Also known as The Hound from Game of Thrones. He’s one of my favorite actors on GoT. The young kid – the actual lead of the film, it seems – is Kodi Smit-McPhee, an Aussie-American actor. He’s only 18! He’s adorable.

So, would you watch this? I ended up enjoying the Coen Brothers’ True Grit, so I would probably watch this. Plus, it’s Fassy. I need a dose of Fassy every now and then.

Kylie Jenner’s lips grace all manner of magazine covers these days. That’s notable for a 17-year-old whose mom lets her spends all day gazing into the mirror. I don’t know why Kylie’s on the cover of Remix. There are rumors that she’s going to release a single. Kylie’s doing well for herself however she’s doing it. Her new $2.7 million home in Calabasas is insane. You can see photos here, and I’m including an Instagrammed housewarming photo at the bottom of this post. Kylie was very excited to unload her (free) mattresses. Speaking of lips … Kylie’s selfies continue.

Kylie’s super bored that you pay attention, but she’ll selfie those lips all day long. The above photo includes gratuitous duckface, true. Kylie says she hasn’t had plastic surgery yet, but the needle doesn’t count. There’s no denying that her lips are a lot bigger than they were last year. I’ve already posted comparison photos, and it’s obvious that she’s had injections. She also purposely overlines her lips and spends a lot of time doing so. How much time? 40 minutes, according to the latest episode of KUTWK. Scott Disick provided commentary on Kylie’s makeup routine:

Scott: “Have you seen her do her lipstick? It takes like 40 minutes and then she like pulls one lip, pushes one out. I don’t understand why everybody thinks it’s so cute to duck [your lips] out! … You should want your nose to almost hit your lip. Get it up there! Plump her up!”

Kylie: “That’s what I think!”

40 minutes. I can’t even imagine spending that long getting ready, let alone wasting all that time on lipstick that needs to be redone every day. 40 minutes is much greater than Kylie’s previously quoted 10% materialistic life. Last week, Kylie went off message in a Star mini-interview. She said, “Girls are most beautiful when they’re not really wearing any [make-up]. I think it’s really pretty when I see girls wearing no make-up.” Kylie also gave a weird quote about enjoying 2-hour showers. Someone needs to call Vivienne Westwood. I’d enjoy hearing her take on the Kardashian excesses.

Amal Clooney stepped out for dinner in New York wearing a furry vest and a pair of very expressive pants. I love that she loves fashion. And there’s a little “I don’t give a sh-t” about the way she loves fashion too. She’d know that these trousers aren’t a safe…      

I genuinely want Britney Spears to be happy and find some peace in her life. I do think she’s doing a lot better these days, after what was probably some adjustments to her meds. She seems much more lucid and a lot less anxious these days. But she is still under a conservatorship. This is not some loose arrangement with her dad simply acting as her business manager. This is still a hardcore legal structure where her dad exerts almost total control over Britney’s finances, personal life, romantic life and career. Her dad even has a say in how much time she spends with her sons, Sean and Jayden.

So… it does irritate me a little bit that everyone is supposed to “pretend” that Britney is just a normal working mom, making all of these decisions for herself. But here we go. Britney covers this week’s issue of People Magazine with her sons. You can read the first excerpt from the cover story here – it’s all about Britney being happy and in a good place. Which I do believe. Some assorted quotes:

Britney is happy: “I’m the happiest I’ve ever been.” Spears says she’s in a “real good place… I’m very blessed.”

Her sons Sean Preston, 9, and Jayden James, 8. “My kids come first in my life, bottom line.”

How she raises them: “Homework is a priority. We have a reward system that helps motivate them: if they get so many As, they get one toy a month. Preston is very opinionated, very expressive, and if he doesn’t like something, he’s going to tell you. But he has a huge heart, he’s a good kid and he has manners … Jayden is sweet, very soft-spoken, kinda funny. He’s adorable — a momma’s boy.”

The kids want an allowance: “Preston just asked for a high allowance – like $10 a week or $20 a week – but we’ll see!”

The boys like Britney’s new boyfriend Charlie Ebersol: “They relate to him really well and they have fun together. He’s refreshing to be around and really light-hearted.”

I think Charlie Ebersol does make Britney happy, but I also think she just loves having a boyfriend in general. She totally wants to marry Charlie, but she can’t until Jamie Spears gives his okay. Charlie sounded up for it a few weeks ago though – he made some comments that seem to indicate that he would totally marry her. So what’s the hold up? I hope Jamie Spears doesn’t want Charlie to become “co-conservator” like he tried to do with Jason Trawick. As for her boys… are we calling Sean Preston by his middle name now? I don’t think I’ve ever heard her do that before. So Sean Preston goes by “Preston Federline”. Huh.

Ah, two Benedict Cumberbatch posts in a day. It feels like old times!! It feels like December 2014. I wrote about Benedict earlier today – he’s going to host the Laureus World Sports Awards in April, in Singapore. Because I guess he wants to chance it about being there when the Cumberbaby is born. And now this post, which I’m writing up simply because we have new photos of Bendy. He was seen leaving the BBC Studios earlier today.

First, let’s talk about his hair. WHY did he get another haircut? Why is so short? Didn’t he learn anything from that terrible haircut he got just ahead of the awards season? Dear Benedict: you look better with some longer Cumbercurls. Don’t try to follow the male-hairstyle trends. Personally, I blame Sophie. Ever since she came into the picture, his hair has been FUBAR.

As for what Benedict was doing at the BBC… I don’t know? It might have had something to do with the Letters Live event? Or it might have had something to do with Benedict doing a reading at the reburial of Richard III tomorrow. Reportedly, Benedict will be reading a poem by Britain’s poet laureate Carol Ann Duffy as Richard III’s remains – which were only recently unearthed – are re-interred. The reading will go down at a formal service at Leicester Cathedral. Benedict played Richard III in the yet-to-be-released Hollow Crown: The War of the Roses. Plus, Benedict and Richard III are distant relatives. Because of course they are.

UGH THIS HAIR. Too trendy. Too short. Too much product.

Tom Ford made his directorial debut in 2009 with A Single Man, for which Colin Firth earned an Oscar nomination, and now, six years later, he’s lined up his sophomore project. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ford has signed on to direct Nocturnal Animals, based on Austin Wright’s…      

Singer, actress and reality star, Christina Milian, appears on the May cover of Latina and dishes on her relationship with Lil Wayne and being a single mom to 5-year-old daughter Violet.

On being a single mom to daughter Violet: “I’m doing everything in my power to be a great mother. I wish I could be with her throughout the day, because I’m always working, but I make sure that whether it’s the morning or nighttime, I make it extra special.”

On instilling a healthy body image in her daughter: “I want Violet to be proud of every little thing that is her—her hair, her body. We’re all different and from early on I’ve always said she has a very confident personality and I want her to maintain that. I don’t want her to be stuck thinking about the scale or thinking, ‘I gotta have straight hair’ and all of this.”

On her relationship with Lil Wayne: “The deal is he’s my man…crush. I think he’s awesome. He and I have a very special relationship and I think I’ve always been very careful with it publicly because when you have something special it’s like everybody picks apart words. They’ll pick apart a moment in a picture and take something that’s special and trash it.”

Mom-to-be Zooey Deschanel stepped out in Los Angeles, Calif. on Monday (March 23). The New Girl star, 35, donned a loose-fitting sweater and leggings paired with navy Uggs after a prenatal pilates class.

The Elf actress recently gushed about her first child on the way.

“I’m really excited. I’m so excited. I’m just so excited to meet my baby! We’re very excited,” she shared.

The actress recently got engaged to her producer beau Jacob Pechenik.
