The NAACP Image Awards, also known as “the Black Oscars” were held Friday evening in Pasadena. Selma won big in several categories, including Best Picture and Best Actor (for David Oyelowo’s performance). Black-ish was the big winner for TV Comedy, plus Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross (the two leads) took home acting awards. Taraji P. Henson took home two awards for being awesome and Viola Davis won for TV Drama actress and she didn’t even come to the show! You can see the full list of winners, plus a recap of some of the notable speeches here at E!. I have to say, in all my years of covering the fashion from the Image Awards, this was one of the best years ever. People really made an effort this year and it showed.
Two of the biggest names and biggest fashion standouts: Gabrielle Union and Kerry Washington! Gabby wore this pink Gauri & Nainika, which is so over-the-top that I went from hate to love pretty quickly. Pink was a really popular color for this event, so she was on-trend too. Kerry’s dress is Zuhair Murad. Not her best but not her worst either. I feel like she rarely wears red?
Gugu Mbatha-Raw in Burberry. I really do love her and I think she’s absolutely drop-dead gorgeous, and I like that she’s representing the UK with Burberry. But this was not my favorite. It looks like a quilt. Better luck next time, girl! Something nice: her face is flawless and her styling is on-point.
Taraji P. Henson in Georges Chakra. This isn’t my favorite, but I love her. She always looks like she’s having the best time in whatever she’s wearing. It’s a quality that elevates even blah styles.
Laverne Cox in Gustavo Cadile. I know what she was going for but I’m not feeling it. The skirt is too much, and it feels like a bustle is about to happen. Pretty color though.
Ava Duvernay wore a custom-designed gown by Ashi Studio. It’s a mullet dress! It’s kind of cool though – if you’re going to do a mullet dress, this is the way to do it.
Carmen Ejogo in Solace London. She played Coretta Scott King in Selma and let me tell you, her beauty took my breath away in that film. She was SO pretty. Seeing her in modern clothes bugs me a little, and maybe that’s my issue. I feel the same way about the women of Mad Men – they look so wonderful in those vintage styles, I kind of wonder why they don’t look for similar red carpet clothes.
Uzo Aduba in this Zac Posen was one of my favorites from the event. I usually think Posen is so overworked, like he just needs to calm down and EDIT. But this is beautiful and she looks like a princess.

Margot Robbie covers the March issue of Marie Claire to promote Focus, her heist movie with Will Smith. The trailer looks predictable but interesting enough. The movie originally starred Kristen Stewart as the female lead. Margot seems like a decent foil to Smith’s sarcastic persona, although the February release date doesn’t inspire confidence. Margot’s on the cusp of a promising career if she plays her cards right. I think she was more captivating in Wolf of Wall Street than Leo, and she’ll go far if she picks the right projects.
The last time we talked about Margot, she was reportedly kissing Alex Skarsgard and stuffing olives into his mouth at Sundance. Maybe they were doing early promotion for Tarzan because Margot tells Marie Claire that she will never date an actor. Nope. Never. Margot previously told Vanity fair that she’d never sell out for a paycheck, and she elaborates on her “normalness” here:
Her looks hamper her career: “I know that my look is more ‘toothpaste model’ as opposed to artsy, which sucks because I can play those roles.”
She’s “normal”: “I have a normal 24-year-old life. If I were a waitress, I’d probably have the exact same lifestyle. I’d go to the same clubs I go to already, live in the same house with the same housemates, hang out with the same people.”
Her love life: “I made a conscious decision not to date actors, but not because I hate actors. That’s a nasty generalization to make, and that’s not the case … People take such an interest in your love life when you have a profile that it puts a lot of stress on a relationship. So two people with profiles, I figure it’s just double the amount of scrutiny, and I’d like to avoid that.”
Her weird food habits: “When I eat, I have to chop up everything on the plate and stir it all together. It devastates my mom. Everyone at the table is like, ‘That looks like cat vomit.’ And I stir my Coke with a spoon until it’s flat.”
[From Marie Claire]
Those aren’t the weirdest food habits I’ve heard of, but who likes flat Coke besides Margot? Carbonation is the most satisfying part of any soft drink.
Margot’s stance on her appearance is revealing. She’s skating up against the “I’m too beautiful for good roles” vibe, but unlike Jessica Biel, Margot has the talent to back up her claims. Thoughts? Margot does seem grounded, but she’s still new to Hollywood. We don’t see her falling out of clubs (even if she did get messy with Skarsgard at Sundance). I wonder if she’s still with Tom Ackerly, who’s often the second or third assistant director on various films (including the upcoming Fassbender edition of Macbeth).
Here’s a photo of Margot wearing a Joseph Altuzarra sheath dress. The thigh slit makes it resemble a ripped gingham tablecloth, but Margot works it.

Rosie O’Donnell hit the gossip world on Friday with one “duh” piece of news and one genuinely shocking piece of news. The not-so-shocking news: Rosie is once again leaving The View, after only being back six months or so. She’s not even going to finish one full season, which is no surprise. It’s not like I even watch The View, but I’m always seeing headlines about Rosie fighting with various co-hosts or guests and on the whole, The View seems like a pit of vipers. As for the shocking piece of news, Rosie’s three-year marriage to Michelle Rounds is over.
Rosie O’Donnell and her wife, Michelle Rounds, have split, and O’Donnell will leave “The View” next week to concentrate on her family’s well-being, Page Six can exclusively reveal. Sources close to O’Donnell told us that she and Rounds, her wife of three years, have been living apart for months, and that O’Donnell feels she must leave the ABC daytime show to focus on her five kids.
Rosie’s rep, Cindi Berger, confirmed the marital split, as well O’Donnell’s departure from “The View,” in a statement Friday night: “I can confirm that Rosie and her wife Michelle split in November. Rosie has teens and an infant at home that need her attention. This has been a very stressful situation. She is putting her personal health and family first. ABC has been wonderfully understanding and supportive of her personal decision to leave ‘The View.’ Next week will be her last.”
O’Donnell, 52, married her second wife Rounds in private in June 2012. In 2013, they adopted a baby girl, Dakota. She has four other older kids. Last fall, O’Donnell returned to “The View after her first tumultuous exit from show back in 2007. Rumors of her latest departure began just months later due to reported friction behind-the-scenes. But sources said the decision to leave was “very personal” and because of the breakup.
ABC said in a statement confirming her departure: “Rosie is an immensely talented star who comes in each and every morning brimming with ideas, excitement and passion for the show. When she told us she wanted to exit ‘The View,’ we respected and understood her desire to put her well-being and her family first. We’re delighted she’s still part of the ABC family with upcoming guest appearances on ‘The Fosters,’ and we know she’ll return to ‘The View’ often with her unique point of view and updates on her work and her family.”
[From Page Six]
I wonder if Rosie will face some contractual penalties for leaving before the season is done? And while Page Six’s sources insist that Rosie is leaving for personal reasons (reasons involving her failed marriage, no doubt), The Daily Mail’s sources say that Rosie has been constantly fighting with staff and producers. Apparently, everyone working at The View blames Rosie for the failing ratings and ABC is totally on board with kicking Rosie to the curb and starting fresh, and they’re also fine with Rosie using her relationship troubles as an excuse. Seems legit to me.
PS… These are pics of Rosie with her now-estranged wife Michelle. Does Michelle give anyone else Jane Seymour-Helen Hunt vibes?

Expectant mama Tamera Mowry-Housley wowed in a white Adam Lipppes dress paired with Louboutin nude heels at the Essence 6th Annual Black Women In Music event in Hollywood, Calif. on Thursday (February 5).
“This momma is ready for a night out with the girls! #Essencewomanofmusic,” the radiant mom-to-be, 36, Instagrammed a pre-pink carpet image.
The Sister, Sister alum is expecting her second child – a girl – with husband Adam Housley. The couple are already parents to 2-year-old son Aden.
“He actually looks at my belly and says, ‘Baby, baby,’” The Real co-host, 36, told PEOPLE of her growing tot. “I said, ‘We’re having a girl — you’re going to have a sister,’ and he lifted up his hands and went, ‘Woohoo!’”
And it sounds like Tamera can’t wait to welcome a mini fashionista.
“I’ve always wanted to know what Adam and my child would look like; We had a boy and now we have a girl,” she said. “I love fashion and makeup, and now I get to have a little fun.”
The actress goes on to talk about mom-to-be moods.
“You could just be really, really, really excited and then all of the sudden this switch will flip and you can start acting really crazy, and it can become really challenging,” she said.
She added: “I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. I love it. I love my son, I love my family, I’m grateful. I have lots of energy and I’m just enjoying it.”

A-list couple Fergie and Josh Duhamel stepped out with their son Axl, 17 months, in Los Angeles, Calif. on Friday (February 6). The family-of-three kept it casual in sweats, jeans and shades on their afternoon outing.
Last month, we spotted the Black Eyed Peas frontwoman, 39, and her tot wearing a matching bandana-scarf ensemble.
And on Tuesday, the Safe Haven star, 42, and his boy were seen lunching in L.A.
Duhamel is set to hit the small screen as Special Agent Milton Chamberlain in CBS’s new series, Battle Creek, premiering March 1.
Meanwhile, Fergie is working on her second studio album, tentatively scheduled for a 2015 release. The first single off of that collection, L.A. LOVE (La La), was released back in September 2014.

Model mom Doutzen Kroes and husband, celeb DJ Sunnery James, appear in the March issue of Vogue Netherlands with their two children: son Phyllon, 4, and daughter Myllena, 6 months.
In a precious photo, the family-of-four is seen snuggled up in bed, with Kroes breastfeeding her baby girl while father and son rub noses.
To celebrate her 30th birthday, the Dutch-born supermodel posed around the world in New York City, Los Angeles, and Amsterdam for three collector’s covers.
In another sweet shot, the couple – who were wed in 2010 – pose cheek-to-cheek. And on one of the covers, Kroes cradles her daughter while her son is seen grinning from ear to ear.
The Victoria’s Secret model Instagrammed some pics from the magazine.
“Our mornings,” she captioned the breastfeeding shot. “thank you @nlvogue @paulbellaart @jettekevanlexmond @sarahpaparazzi @mokaradag1 and of course my loves @sunneryjames Phyllon and Myllena!”

Congratulations are in order for Sophie B. Hawkins.
The Damn, I Wish I Was Your Lover singer, 50, is expecting her second child this July, PEOPLE reports.
The singer — who is already mom to 6-year-old son Dashiell — is pregnant with a baby girl after being implanted with her own frozen embryo. The sperm was provided by a donor.
“I found Dashiell really needs a sibling,” Hawkins said of her decision to have another child. “My son has one parent who’s 50. I want him to have a family of young people too!”
Before making the decision, the singer faced fears because of her age and newly single status.
“I went through waking up crying and saying, ‘Am I too old? Will I suddenly at 51 have my knees give out?’” she said. “Now I don’t have any of those fears because I feel healthy and strong. I’m also setting up a good net of support, and that’s the key to anybody having a child.”
As it turns out, age was not a concern for doctors since she froze her embryos at the age of 31, was in good physical health and had a healthy first child.
“For me, the main decision was emotional,” she said. “I’ve been wanting to have a child since Dashiell was 1, but I was working too much and there was a lot going on in my relationship.”
Hawkins, who identifies as omnisexual, is feeling confident about being a single mom-of-two.
“I interviewed a lot of divorced women and they said, ‘It’s so much easier to do it alone. You don’t have the pressure or the criticism or judgment of someone else.’ Of course then you ask, ‘Will I miss the emotional support?’ Well, to tell you the truth, I’m getting that more from my friends than I ever got in a relationship,” she shared.
As for her pregnancy, she’s feeling well.
“I’m in the glorious second trimester so I forget I’m pregnant, and it’s really nice,” she says. “I still exercise the same, work the same, do everything the same.”
The Gorga boys are just too adorable!
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star, Melissa Gorga, recently shared a picture on Instagram of her stylish sons, along with their dad, Joe Gorga. The boys are essentially wearing matching outfits, but in different colors. Melissa captioned the photo:
“My Boys!”
It looks like Joe may have gotten a little bit too much sun on his vacation to St. Thomas, as he looks to be a bit red in the photo. The Gorga family recently returned from having some fun in the sun to being tossed right back in the cold winter weather. Therefore, I don’t think Joe is going to complain too much about his sunburn.
During a Thursday appearance on Live! With Kelly and Michael, new dad Ryan Reynolds joked that his 1-month-old daughter with Blake Lively is not a child prodigy.
“Everyone thinks their baby’s a genius,” Reynolds, 38, said. “People find it delightfully refreshing when I tell them, ‘My baby? Totally average. 100 percent average.’”
The Voices star went on to say that he had a friend whose child was reciting passages from Anton Chekhov.
“That baby’s a genius,” he said. “And probably — let’s be honest — a bit of an a–hole. Smart kid, but keep him away from me.”
The Canadian actor and the Gossip Girl alum, 27, welcomed their first child (whose moniker has not been revealed, but is a family name) shortly before the New Year.
When Ripa said he smelled like baby powder, the proud new dad said, “Yeah, that’s not going to change anytime soon. If I don’t get any sleep soon, I’ll change that to arsenic.”
Although exhausted, it sounds like he’s enjoying every minute of new fatherhood.
“I’m happily not getting any sleep. These days I just sort of think of blinking as taking tiny little naps all day,” he quipped. “It’s what you do. You’re up all night, but it’s weird — you’re, like, happy about it in a strange way. If anything else woke up every 45 minutes during the night, demanding to see my wife’s breasts, you kill it. But, you know, a baby, you’re like, ‘Aw, woohoo!’”
In a precious new photo, Gerard Piqué smiles with his 8-day-old son Sasha.
Proud mama Shakira, 38, shared a sweet snapshot of her newborn son and her 28-year-old football star beau.
A cropped version of the photo was posted via Instagram Friday, inviting fans to participate in a good cause.
“#Repost @3gerardpique ????Sasha and Daddy – to see full pic visit www.worldbabyshower.org,” she captions the image.
The full shot appears on the website of the UNICEF World Baby Shower, a charity initiative the couple supports to help raise funds and awareness for children in need.
The couple shared their newborn’s first official photo on Thursday.
The new parents-of-two – who first met at the 2010 World Cup – are also parens to 2-year-old son Milan.
