Battle Creek star Josh Duhamel stepped out with son Axl, 17 months, in Los Angeles, Calif. on Tuesday (February 3). Dressed in khaki overalls paired with a bandana and Vans, the adorable tot enjoyed a lunch date with his doting daddy.

Last week, we spotted Fergie and Axl in their L.A. neighborhood. The mother-son duo rocked a matching bandana-scarf ensemble during their outing.

Duhamel is set to hit the small screen as Special Agent Milton Chamberlain in CBS’s new series, Battle Creek, premiering March 1.

In a recent interview with DA MAN, the actor, 42, opened up about the new series.

“The show itself is about a medium-sized town in Michigan,” Duhamel shared. “It’s an all-American town between Chicago and Detroit. But it’s got quite a bit of crime. It’s about this underfunded squad in Battle Creek and how they have to make do with very little resources. And my character comes into town with this FBI agent, who set up an office there with sort of government funding that I need. So it creates a sort of funny dynamic between myself and all of the detectives there.”

He added: “I think it’s funnier than what people would expect from a cop show. It’s somewhere between drama and comedy. It’s got serious crimes that we’re dealing with, but it’s also funny in a tongue-in-cheek manner. Any crime you see on CSI or NCIS or on any other shows would never happen on our show. The crimes themselves are kind of absurd. But we treat them all very seriously [Laughs].”

As for Axl, the actor couldn’t help but gush about his growing boy.

“He’s doing great—17 months old and very, very busy,” Duhamel shared.

Jessica Simpson‘s sweet son Ace, 19 months, is seen mastering his moonwalk Tuesday on Instagram.

Uncle Evan Ross – the newlywed husband of Jessica’s sister Ashlee Simpson – shared a sweet snapshot of his nephew channeling his inner Michael Jackson.

“The other day with the amazing baby Ace. Working on his Michael Jackson moves. Always the best of times with the family #EricJohnson @jessicasimpson and @tinersimpson,” Uncle Evan captioned the image.

Last month, proud mama Jessica also shared an adorable snap of her growing boy trying to play tennis.

Meanwhile, Ace’s big sister, 2½-year-old Maxwell, was recently seen getting into the girlie stuff.
