While Heidi and Spencer Pratt made claims that they were tortured while participating in NBC’s new show “I’m a Celebrity.Get Me Outta Here,” an on-set source says the allegations are bogus.
The “Hills” stars were kept in the Costa Rican jungle’s “Lost Chamber” for 14 hours, but the insider reported that during that time they were given rations. “Any accusations that Spencer and Heidi were harmed are untrue.”
Spencer’s sister Stephanie Pratt, on the other hand, took to her blog to condemn the treatment. “I’m really saddened to hear that nbc felt it was ok to punish speidi so harshly-and torture them as if they were criminals-that Heidi was…rushed to the hospital and has an IV in her arm after being locked in a dark room for 3 days w no food or water. Pls pray she will be ok.”
But the insider refutes Stephanie’s statements, saying, “There was no danger, no life-threatening situations-in fact, they were actually protected from the elements, unlike the other contestants. When they came out, they were happy and in good spirits.”

If you’re wondering what a handsome creature like 22-year-old model Jesus Luz sees in over the hill pop legend Madonna-besides her million dollar money bags that it is-you’re not alone.
Jesus’ former girlfriend doesn’t get it either.
Jesus dated fellow Brazilian Catharina Franca, an 18-year-old actress, for a year and a half before they split in 2006. The stunning Catharina is speaking out for the first time of her shock at discovering that her dashing ex is now involved in a passionate showmance with the Material Girl, 50; scoffing at the couple’s 28-year age gap and condemning Madge as a “ridiculous old bag.”
“When I heard about him and Madonna I couldn’t believe it,” Catharina chuckles in a new interview with Britain’s Daily Mail. “I think Madonna is just with him for the attention…”
“I think the age makes a difference and it is ridiculous for her. It’s like my mom with a boyfriend my age, or even my grandmother. I think it’s very weird.”
Catharina continues, “I think she has some kind of an age complex, she still thinks she is a young woman, she can’t accept her age. I can’t remember him ever speaking about her or listening to her music. She is famous but she is from a different generation altogether.”
“She is a ridiculous old bag, jumping around on stage at her age,” she adds.
Here are a few things you may not associate with the rich and famous: working as a janitor. Being part of an impoverished family of 14. Living on welfare. Getting shot. Being sexually molested.
And yet, early experiences like these have shaped and driven some of the most powerful and important celebrities in the world, from Jim Carrey, Tom Cruise and Sean “Diddy” Combs to Celine Dion and Oprah Winfrey. Is there a tie between a tough upbringing and fame? Social scientists, who are just beginning to study the phenomenon, say yes.
“We all have a basic need for acceptance and approval by social groups,” says Orville Gilbert Brim, author of The Fame Motive: A Treatise on its Origin and Life Course. “If it’s not satisfied, if a person is excluded either in infancy, childhood or, in many cases, adolescence, this frustration becomes the source of a motive or a desire to become famous.”
