In Hollywood, even florists are famous. In the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar, Hollywood’s most well-connected florist, Eric Buterbaugh is profiled, along with his three closest celebrity friends, Gwyneth Paltrow, Demi Moore, and Nicole Richie.
Obviously.

Expectant mum Kate Middleton was simply radiant Thursday (February 12) during her visit to the site of Ben Ainslie Racing and the 1851 Trust headquarter in Portsmouth, England.
Looking every bit the royal mum-to-be, the Duchess of Cambridge, 33, wowed in a white Max Mara “Villar” coat, cinched at the waist with a skinny belt, making her growing baby bump all the more apparent.
Underneath the lovely coat, Kate wore a Somerset by Alice Temperley shift dress with sailboat print, accessorized with a navy blue clutch by LK Bennett and Jimmy Choo “Georgia” pumps.
The Duchess met with members of the local sailing community to learn more about their bid to win America’s Cup for Britain.
After greeting the crowds of well-wishers, Kate painted her own contribution to a mural created by locals at Sir Ben’s headquarters.
The official visit, arranged through nonprofit organization Place2Be, came on the heels of the royal family’s vacation in Mustique. The Duchess – who was joined by husband, Prince William, and their 18-month-old son Prince George – celebrated her mother Carole’s 60th birthday on the Caribbean island.

Here’s the cover of Marie Claire Australia’s March issue, with Gwyneth Paltrow. It’s a bad cover for her, right? While I make fun of Our Lady of Perpetual Goops, she usually photographs well and she’s usually up for a good editorial. Anyway, in this MC interview, Gwyneth admits that she and Chris Martin had actually separated a year before their conscious uncoupling announcement. Which means both were free and clear to fool around with other people, I suppose. Some highlights:
The quiet separation: Marie Claire Australia claims she purchased a house as long ago as 2012 and then went through ‘a year of quiet separation’.
Working with Johnny Depp while she and Chris separated: “Nobody knew what Chris and I had been going through, so I didn’t say, ‘Hey, this is what’s happening,’ but I did ask him mostly children-centric questions, like, ‘How is it on them?’ and ‘How did you do it?’”
On her split: “It’s very sad. You have an expectation of your life, and it’s sad to change that expectation.”
The “conscious uncoupling” term: “OK, you can make fun of the term or whatever. I didn’t invent it.”
She and Chris are still tight: “We’ve worked really f–king hard to get to [this] point. But we’re very, very close, and it’s so nice. I feel like it’s, in a way, the relationship we were meant to have.”
[From The Daily Mail & E! News]
At this point… yeah, of course she’s admitting it. We knew it already. She and Chris had spent several years living largely separate lives. They barely spent any time together. In fact, they spend so much time together post-split that I bet it sort of confuses their kids.
Other Goop news… Us Weekly had a funny story about Gwyneth bringing her kids to the Grammys and then trying to explain to them the difference between the awards for albums and records. Star Magazine also has a story about Gwyneth and her undercover boyfriend Brad Falchuk. Apparently, they’re still together but Brad wants to go public with their romance and really be her “official”. A source tells Star: “At first they were waiting for the hype around their relationship to die down, but now there’s no more excuses. He wants to start walking red carpets hand in hand.” They should totally go to the Oscars together.
Here are some pics of Gwyneth at the Grammys. Her dress was Stella McCartney. I don’t completely hate it, which shocked me.

I totally forgot that this film was made. It seems like The Man From UNCLE was filed two years ago, right? Right. Anyway, there was just a flurry of newly released material for the film, including a poster, a still and a trailer. The film is a reboot (of sorts) of the classic 1960s show, with Henry Cavill starring at the CIA super-agent Napoleon Solo and Armie Hammer starring as the KGB super-agent Illya Kuryakin. They’re forced to team up together on a special mission. The film was directed by Guy Ritchie and there’s bonus Alicia Vikander and Hugh Grant in there. Here’s the trailer:
My take? It actually looks pretty good. I could see where there would be a temptation to turn this into a straight-up spoof, in the manner of Austin Powers, but it seems more like they’re doing a straight-up reboot with some comedic elements. Henry Cavill’s accent work sounds really good too – he genuinely sounds American. I’m not sure about Armie’s accent work though. For most of the trailer, I thought he was doing a German accent.
The film doesn’t come out until August 14th, which seems like a long time to wait. Is it being dumped in the no-man’s-land of August releases? Because I think if this film had a major press campaign, they could really sell it. It looks like a charming spy caper. But don’t look at me, I love spy movies.

Kendall Jenner, some legit models, and some party girls all attended last night’s amFar gala at NYC Cipriani last night. Kendall wore a bright read Romona Kevesa gown with gold Louboutin heels. She looks so classy compared to her sisters, and I do think she has longevity as a model despite her brattiness. We all know how she got the job, but yes, she’s pretty and statuesque. This dress is gorgeous, and Kendall has the body to show it off.
Paris Hilton was there of course. She can’t miss a chance to do her “that’s hot” face on a red carpet. This dress isn’t terrible, and it’s downright sophisticated by Paris standards.
There’s nothing objectively wrong with Michelle Rodriguez‘s Vivienne Westwood dress, but it’s very similar to one she wore at a LACMA gala last year.
Karlie Kloss looked fantastic in this slinky black dress. She can work a thigh-high split.
Naomi Campbell wore my favorite dress of the night. This deep purple color is amazing.
Now for the parade of awful. Heidi Klum just can’t help herself. She lives for the chance to wear a lacy nightmare to all amFar galas. This dress is Azarro.
Rosario Dawson in salmon colored Emilio Pucci … well, she was having fun.
Toni Garrn did mummy bridal chic. I almost called her Erin Heatherton. Leo’s exes are so interchangeable!
Nicky Hilton tried to mimic Lupita N’yongo‘s cape, which looked good on Lupita. Nicky doesn’t fare as well. The red is very Valentine-y.
Ladies and gentlemen, I present Iman. Everyone else can go home now. (Photos of Ivanka Trump, Kelly Rutherford, Brooke Shields, Coco Rocha, and Camila Alves — all in bad dresses — are in the gallery.)

I would have liked to see the Sam Taylor-Johnson’s version of Fifty Shades Of Grey without the EL James interference. I would have liked to see her make the movie that was her complete vision. Because you can actually see the internal struggles unfold on film.
