Getting ready for their first knockout round match, Cristiano Ronaldo was busy practicing with his Portugal teammates in Cape Town, South Africa on Monday .
Considered by many to be the world’s best player, Ronaldo joked around between intense sessions as his team readies to take on Spain on Tuesday (June 29).
Tending to press duties, Cristiano Ronaldo was spotted arriving to Auditorium Hotel to participate in Cadena Ser party put on by Sports Radio Programme El Larguero in Madrid on Monday.
The Real Madrid hunk was all smiles as he strutted into the hotel, greeting fellow attendees as he posed for pictures before taking the podium.
Of his return following injury, Ronaldo said, “I want to play against Milan [Nov. 3]. It is a very important game for us and I am going to try to make sure I am there.”
Making sure not to rush things, the 24-year-old adds, “I know I can’t take risks. It is a long season and I will only come back when I am 100% fit.”
Drawing a crowd of over 18,000 fans, Cristiano Ronaldo joined his Real Madrid squad for practice at BMO Field in Toronto, Canada on Thursday (August 6).
Preparing ahead of tonight’s match, the Portugese soccer stud looked a bit upset after almost injuring his ankle during a day which also saw a crazy fan run onto the field and try to attack players from Real Madrid before being taken down by security.
As for Ronaldo’s new team, coach Manuel Pellegrini has high expectations with the big acquisitions – as he believes Real Madrid will challenge for all three titles.
“We have got a great squad and now we have to prove it,” Pellegrini wrote on the club’s official Web site.
He added, “We have two objectives, to try and win three competitions at the same time (Primera Liga, Kings Cup and Champions League) and also for the fans to enjoy the football that we play. We have a chance of winning all three titles.”
Cristiano Ronaldo has lost interest in Paris Hilton.
The soccer star and the hotel heiress spent the night together earlier this month and vowed to keep their romance alive.
But less than two weeks after their passionate liaison, the 23-year-old sportsman has claimed he doesn’t have time for the 28-year-old blonde beauty.
Cristiano said: "She was a really cool girl and we had a great time talking. I am a young man and Paris a young lady, and us talking in a club is just what normal people our age do.
"She lives thousands of miles away and is busy, and I am busy in Madrid so I am not sure if we will be able to see each other. I am just making the most of the short summer I get."
Paris and Cristiano spent hours "swapping spit" at MyHouse club in Los Angeles before driving to her sister Nicky Hilton’s nearby home in West Hollywood at 3am.
A grinning Cristiano was photographed leaving the mansion at 5am. He and Paris met up for a second time less than 24 hours later.
Meanwhile, Paris’ mother Kathy has lashed out at her daughter’s ex-boyfriend Doug Reinhardt.
She said: "I think Paris needs to be with someone who is a bit more mature, older and has their own thing."
Paris’ aunt Kyle Richards also commented on her niece’s relationship with ‘The Hills’ star.
She said: "The stories out there about our family not approving of their relationship are completely true. Doug was riding Paris’ coattails."
Cristiano Ronaldo may become a singer when he hangs up his boots.
The Manchester United star has talked about starting a pop group when his soccer career ends.
‘Somebody mentioned to me a few years ago that it would be a great idea if myself, the Brazilian Ronaldo and Ronaldinho made a band called The Three Rs,’ says Cris.
‘I loved the idea, it was so funny. I’ll mention it to them when I retire, we might even have a No1.’
And Cristiano, 24, has his heart set on being the frontman.
‘I don’t know what the other two would like to do but it would be brilliant if I was lead singer,’ he tells The Sun.
‘You never know, I will have to do something after football.
