She’s no stranger to swanky high-profile events, and last night Hilary Duff was busy playing hostess in Los Angeles.
The “So Yesterday” songstress looked excited as she hosted the Herve Leger by Max Azria Celebration at Live! on Sunset Boulevard, working the red carpet like the seasoned pro that she is.
And of course, Miss Duff was the belle of the ball, turning heads left and right in her mint green minidress with matching funky strappy heels.
The evening celebrated the debut of the “Live! On Sunset” boutique and the Herve Leger by Max Azria bandage dress. Guests enjoyed live music, cocktails, and appetizers.
Before Ottawa Senators player Mike Comrie saw the premiere of Hilary Duff’s new film, Stay Cool, at the Tribeca Film Festival, he knew he’d enjoy it.
"It’s always fun watching her work," he told Us in New York Thursday.
The long-distance couple say they make an effort to cheer each other on – Duff is a staple at Comrie’s hockey games – whenever they get the chance.
"We have a lot of fun," the NHL star said. "We both live such different lives, but its always fun to support each other and spend time when we get to."
With Mike Comrie playing in Canada and Hilary Duff shooting across the country, the couple has few moments together in the same city.
Yet they’re still going strong.
"If it’s worth it, you make it work," Comrie said.
"It’s natural for us, which I think is great," the Duffster added. "We both have busy jobs, and we’re both very focused people, so that helps. Since we are apart so much, it’s not like one person is at home waiting for the other."
Interestingly, Comrie’s teammate, Mike Fisher, is also dating a cute, blonde celebrity in Carrie Underwood! Those Ottawa Senators have all the luck.
She’s always up to something new, and earlier today (April 23) Hilary Duff was spotted promoting her new flick “Stay Cool” at the Tribeca Film Festival.
The “So Yesterday” chick looked to be having a good time as she passed the paparazzi, sporting an all-black ensemble along with a black and tan scarf and a massive handbag.
Coming up next week, Miss Duff will be guest starring on “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” as a young mother made a prime suspect when her young child goes missing.
The episode is titled “Selfish,” and it airs Tuesday, April 28th. Hilary has also been hard at work on her upcoming film “Provinces of Night.”
Out for a Big Apple retail romp, Hilary Duff was spotted out shopping at Barney’s on Madison Ave in New york City on Tuesday (March 31).
The former “Lizzie McGuire” actress was joined by gal pal Summer Terry, looking to e enjoying time off of work, as she’s been shooting a guest spot on “Law and Order: SVU”.
Grabbing a taxi after finishing up their retail outing, Miss Duff walked along with a bag of presents, getting something special for her hockey star beau Mike Comrie.
Speaking of Mike, Hil’s boyfriend takes the ice alter on tonight – as his Ottawa Senators are facing off against the Florida Panthers at 7:30PM.
Hilary Duff is set for guest stint on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit!
In a storyline that mirrors the death and disappearance of Florida toddler Caylee Anthony, the former Lizzie McGuire star will play a young mother whose daughter is missing while small screen vet Gail O’Grady (Desperate Housewives, American Dreams) will step in as Hil’s mom, a detemined grandma who fears something sinister has befallen the little girl.
Filming starts this week, the TV Fanatic reports.
Grabbing up a refreshing coffee drink, Hillary Duff was spotted heading to her car following a stop at The Coffee Bean in West Hollywood on Friday (January 16).
Dressed in a white tank top with dark blue flare leg jeans, the “Lizzie McGuire” starlet offered up a quick smile and laugh as she hopped in her Mercedes SUV before pulling away.
Meanwhile, Miss Duff is busily working to further her acting career – as she’s set to star in a new NBC series called “Barley Legal” based on the true story of Kathleen Holtz, who became a lawyer in California at the young age of 18.
Hilary, 21, also will be starring in “The Story of Bonnie and Clyde,” as production begins in the Deep South this April, with Tonya S. Holly directing and Kevin Zegers, Rance Howard and Natalie Canerday joining Duff in the cast.
