Things in New Zealand have been rough following the Pike River mining disaster, and yesterday U2 gave a fabulous concert in Auckland, along with a very special guest.The always-energetic Bono welcomed show opener Jay-Z to the stage as part of their massive 360 Tour stop in the lovely city.
The “Empire State of Mind” stud performed “Sunday Bloody Sunday” and “Scarlet” with the band before heading backstage.
Additionally, U2 dedicated “One Tree Hill” to the 29 victims of the mining tragedy as their names scrolled on the massive screens.
