Enjoying a beautiful day of mother-daughter bonding, Jennifer Garner and Violet Affleck were spotted out and about in Boston, Massachusetts yesterday (June 4).

The “Catch and Release” mommy and her adorable 3-year-old hit up a local hotel for a swim session before heading off to lunch together.

Meanwhile, Jen’s hubby/Violet’s dad Ben Affleck had his own affairs to attend to, continuing to work on his latest film “The Company Men.”

The “Good Will Hunting” stud looked dapper in a suit as he filmed scenes for the new flick, chatting a laughing with costars and crewmembers in between takes.

Always doing what she can for charity, Jennifer Garner attended a book reading session at the Rosemount Center in Washington DC on Tuesday (May 5).

Joined by her mother, former schoolteacher Pat Garner, the former “Alias” actress seemed to be thoroughly enjoying herself as she entertained a group of schoolchildren.

According to PR insider reports, the pair were there to “launch the 2009 State of the World’s Mothers report, which presents alarming findings on the lack of adequate early childhood education across the country and around the world.”

Also among their duties, Jen and Pat are going to “explain the meaning and implications of the report’s findings in the United States as well as advocate for an increased federal commitment to American children.”

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have named their newborn daughter Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Affleck.While no explanation for the name was offered following the couple’s announcement, one website specializing in the origins of names says Seraphina is derived from the biblical word ‘seraphim’ – which is Hebrew in origin – meaning “fiery ones.”

Ben and Jennifer have already shown they are fans of flower-themed girls’ names.

Seraphina Rose Elizabeth – who was born in Los Angeles on January 6 – will be little sister to the couple’s other daughter, three-year-old Violet.

Jennifer, 36, has previously spoken of her love of motherhood and Ben’s excellent parenting skills.

The “13 Going On 30” actress said: “You know how as a kid you picture yourself with a tall, handsome husband, and you imagine him cuddling your baby? Ben is like that.”

“Violet prefers him to anyone. He’s a teddy bear of a guy. Nothing makes me happier than to see the two of them together and her little hands on his face. He has a prevailing calm.”
