Lady Gaga flew into LA yesterday for a really special night: Singing alongside Yoko Ono at the
“We Are Plastic Ono Band” concert at the Orpheum Theatre. The gals rocked out for a sold-out audience, and it looked like an amazing night.
Lady Gaga and Yoko Ono.
Gaga tweeted after the concert: "WE ARE PLASTIC ONO. I got to sit in as a guest musician tonight, what a legendary band+mother, Yoko."
Gaga had more reason to be a happy superstar yesterday, she posted: "Today THE FAME spends its 100th consecutive week on Billboard. I wrote it myself + sang it live everynight. Thanku for believing lilmonsters."
Rejoicing and giving thanks to her faithful Twitter followers, Lady GaGa showed her love for all of those responsible for making her the top user on the popular social networking site.
After setting records in the world of Facebook, the "Paparazzi" singer recently overtook former top tweeter Britney Spears with an oh-so-impressive 5.7 million followers.
Posting a video of gratitude, Gaga told, "This is Lady Gaga, queen of Twitter. I wanted to thank all of my beautiful little monsters for following me. Thank you for beginning my reign as Twitter queen. May you always have soft cuticles while tweeting. May you never have carpal tunnel. … I vow to always tweet and tweet again."
Looking ever the beauty queen, Gaga toted a wand in her hand as she added, "Just remember that I love you and love yourself. I love you Twitter."
Lady Gaga is reportedly dating her "best friend".
The ‘Poker Face’ singer is said to have grown increasingly close to her style collaborator Matthew Williams in recent months, who she previously romanced for over a year.
A source said: "Matthew and Gaga have been dating for months. They were together on and off for more than a year, but called it off when mixing work and love became too difficult."
After the pair first went their separate ways, Gaga began dating an entrepreneur named Speedy while Matthew started a new relationship and became a father.
However, both romances fizzled out and the former couple have now reconciled after growing close on the star’s ‘Monster Ball’ tour.
The source added to InTouch magazine: "They spend all their time together, and travel everywhere, so it was bound to happen. Speedy dumped her, and Matthew left his girlfriend for Gaga."
Tossing on her typical concert garb, Lady GaGa performed on the Arena stage at the V Festival in Weston Park, Staffordshire on Saturday evening (August 22).
While the “Poker Face” singer gave it her all once on stage, she was reportedly booed after arriving late for her much-anticipated performance at the annual festival.
Trying to smooth things over during the course of her set, GaGa said how much she loves London, saying: “I always have pie, chips and mushy peas when I am here.”
Once again upsetting the crowd after having to cut her set short, she told fans: “I’m so sorry, but I have to go. I’m so sorry, but I love you so much.”
Sporting yet another one of her unusual ensembles, Lady GaGa was spotted leaving her Denmark hotel earlier today (July 31).
The “Poker Face” singer signed autographs for her fans and looked rather interesting in a nude leotard, a white blazer, complete with a purple beehive hairdo.
In other news, the 23-year-old admits she is devastated because of her recent split from boyfriend, Speedy.
GaGa explains, “Do you know the feeling of your heart being so terribly broken you can feel the blood dripping out?. when you have felt this, only then you know how I’m doing.”
Although it was originally a “very personal” part of her life, Lady GaGa is opening up about her sexuality in the new issue of Rolling Stone – shedding light on her bisexuality.
The singer also spoke about her boyfriend’s reaction in learning the news that his girlfriend is also interested in women.
“The fact that I’m into women, they’re all intimidated by it,” she explains. “It makes them uncomfortable. They’re like, ‘I don’t need to have a threesome. I’m happy with just you.'”
But Gaga says that she has never truly been in love with a woman and that the attraction is based off of totally physical aspects. The former Stefani Joanne Germanotta met her one and only four years ago.
“I was his Sandy, and he was my Danny, and I just broke,” the 23-year-old says of her breakup with a heavy-metal drummer named Luke, who inspired nearly all of the songs on her debut album, The Fame.
Meanwhile, the songstress has a new boy toy, but still puts her feelings into her music instead.
“My music’s not going to wake up tomorrow morning and tell me it doesn’t love me anymore,” she says. “So I’m content with my solitude. I’m okay with being alone. I choose to have someone in my life when I can.”
Where does she get her inspiration from? Not from where you may have guessed. Gaga is “inspired by skyscrapers, architecture” and things that will keep fans interested.
“I don’t feel like I look like the other perfect little pop singers,” she says. “I think I’m changing what people think is sexy. I feel like I have so much to do. My true legacy will be the test of time, and whether I can sustain a space in pop culture and really make stuff that will have a genuine impact.”
Continuing to build her Australian fanbase, Lady GaGa was spotted arriving at a radio station in Sydney for an interview earlier today (May 21).
The “Poker Face” songstress looked a bit odd as she strolled past the paparazzi in a white leather jacket overtop a white leotard with clear sunglasses and beige heels with black laces.
In related news, GaGa unknowingly stirred up a little trouble during her recent time in Russia- it seems police mistook her for a prostitute while she posed for pictures in Moscow’s Red Square.
According to a report, the “Just Dance” diva was sporting one of her signature skimpy outfits when officers stopped her and questioned her about what she was doing, assuming she was ‘looking for work.’
Decked out in her finest gear, per the usual, Lady GaGa was spotted taking in the sights of Paris, France on Thursday (April 23).
The “Poker Face” singer stepped out of her posh hotel is a bright yellow dress, then visiting the Grand Palais museum to see the exhibition of Andy Warhol.
As for her unique sense of style, GaGa recently told press: “I guess you could say I’m a gay man trapped in a woman’s body in my own way. Look at Freddy Mercury!”
The 23-year-old singer went on to explain that her love of fashion stemmed from early childhood, during which time she always loved watching her mother get all glammed up.
