Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio is on a strict diet to lose 30 pounds for his latest film "Inception".
The actor has taken on a strict diet and exercise regime to fight the flab before filming the gruelling action scenes in the movie, reports thesun.co.uk .
"Leonardo needs to shed at least 30 pounds… He’s gained weight recently and looks almost a bit flabby, which isn’t good, especially as the camera adds pounds. There’s an action scene coming up at the end of the year in which he needs to appear emaciated, so the pressure is on," said an industry source.
"He is following a strict diet and is embarking on a rigorous workout regime… Leonardo is a pretty determined kind of guy…when he sets his mind to things he always achieves them. Though this is going to be hard for him, you can guarantee he’ll succeed," the source added.
Directed by Christopher Nolan, "Inception" is a psychological thriller about an office worker involved in a blackmail plot.
“They’re taking time off for the time being, they’ve split,” says a source. “It could just end up as a break but for now they’re doing their own thing.”
The “Titanic” stud and the Israeli-born supermodel have, of course, left the door cracked for the possibility of a reunion somewhere down the road.
Leonardo DiCaprio and Bar Refaeli are neither engaged nor have any plans to walk down the aisle anytime soon, says a friend.
The rumours about the couple’s engagement began spreading after Bar was spotted wearing a normal gold band on her ring finger.
"No – he and Bar are not married and not engaged. It was just a ring she was wearing on that finger," Us Weekly quoted DiCaprio’s pal as saying. However, this doesn’t mean Leonardo, 34, is not going to get married, as he revealed that he is keen to settle down and have children of his own.
"I want to get married and have children," Leonardo told Parade magazine earlier. "I absolutely believe in marriage,” he added.
Fearne Cotton has a crush on Leonardo DiCaprio. The British presenter is worried the “Revolutionary Road” star will leave her speechless when she hosts the red carpet at the BAFTA Awards on Sunday. She said: “He is absolutely gorgeous and even better looking in the flesh. Oh my God, yes! I’m slightly concerned I’ll just stare at him and won’t be able to speak. Which really wouldn’t be cool!”
“I got 0.5 seconds with Leo at the Golden Globes last month so I’m hoping for a good five minutes this time.”
“Five minutes and maybe something juicy from him – and an email address. LeoDiCap@mac.com or something.”
Leonardo, 34, isn’t the only star attending the prestigious ceremony Fearne admires – she also hopes to meet “Doubt” actress Meryl Streep, Brad Pitt and his partner Angelina Jolie.
She added: “Meryl Streep is amazing – I worship her. I’d be over the moon to meet her, even just for 30 seconds. And I met Brad and Angelina briefly at the Globes. They are like these totally non-human, shiny, beautiful creatures.”
Brad and Angelina have been named in the Leading Actor and Leading Actress categories respectively for their roles in “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” and “Changeling.”
The Orange British Academy Film Awards take place at The Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, London, and will be hosted by Jonathan Ross.
