Selena Gomez has been romantically linked to stars like Nick Jonas and Taylor Lautner, but she recently insisted she’d never date pop star Justin Bieber.

When asked by Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show if she was romantically involved with Justin, Gomez retorted: “Oh brother! He’s little. No, he’s like my little brother. It’s weird to me.”  

                                                        
The 18-year-old beauty recently admitted while she hasn’t been on a date in six months, she is happy being single until the right guy comes along.

She said: “Unfortunately, I haven’t been on a date in over six months. In hindsight, it doesn’t really seem that long between dates. The truth is I haven’t met anyone, but I’m young. I don’t need to have a boyfriend right now.

Selena Gomez celebrated her 17th birthday on Wednesday, and country singer Taylor Swift made sure to say Happy Birthday with a massive flower arrangement.

A Disney Channel spokesperson says, “Taylor contacted Disney Channel to make sure she could send it to the studio. It was so big two men had to carry it to the car!”

Gomez also received homemade cards from her biggest fans and gifts that included an apron that read, “I love Texas”-a shout out to Gomez’s home state.

The Wizards Of Waverly Place star showed her gratitude on a YouTube video for her fans. “All of my fans bought me so many gifts and just made me realize how blessed I am. Thank you guys so much for making this an amazing year . You’ve made this the best birthday yet."

The young star has had a huge year and following Friday’s episode of her Emmy-nominated Wizards, she will debut her music video for her cover of the 1975 classic “Magic” from the soundtrack of her own movie.

Always a fan of charity, Selena Gomez was spotted having a great time at the A Time for Heroes Celebrity Carnival yesterday (June 7).

The “Wizards of Waverly Place” hottie was all smiles as she posed for the paparazzi outside the Wadsworth Theatre, sporting a grey tank top, slim fit jeans, and beige sandals.

Also in the house was Selena’s mom Mandy, who was more than happy to pose for a few pics with her uber-famous daughter.

And when all was said and done, the Celebrity Carnival raised upwards of $1 million for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.

Nick Jonas and Selena Gomez have not officially confirmed they are dating, but in recent separate interviews, the couple accidentally “spilled the beans”.

Selena Gomez recently was interviewed by Twist magazine and confided, “While we were slow dancing…my crush and I had our first kiss!. Selena continued, “After it, I leaned back and I said, ‘You cheated.’ And he said, ‘Why’ and I said, ‘I don’t kiss on the first date.’ Then he said, ‘Well, I never really play by the rules.

Then Nick Jonas, of the Jonas Brothers, had an interview with “Girls Life” magazine and stated, “On one date, the girl said to me, ‘I don’t kiss on the first date.’ So I said, ‘I don’t follow the rules.’”

Hmmm… that sure raises some eyebrows doesn’t it? Their romantic interviews describing their partner sure sound similar!

Selena Gomez, 16, recently said she doesn’t “have a boyfriend right now. I go on dates and have crushes and stuff, though.”

When gossip website liesangeles.com told the teen star that she and the youngest Jonas Brother “make a cute couple,” she smiled and said, “Thanks!”

And she didn’t stop there, gushing about her maybe-boyfriend: “He is a very good-hearted guy and he’s very passionate about what he does.”
