Susan Boyle has received an invitation to perform for President Barack Obama and the First Family at The White House on Independence Day, the brother of the Scottish YouTube darling has revealed.
The Britain’s Got Talent finalist is said to looking forward to being a part of the Obamas’ Independence Day celebrations next month, despite being admitted to a rehab clinic for stress after losing the Talent finale last Saturday.
“Susan has been invited to the celebrations at the White House with the president. So as you can see, her dream is still very much alive. In fact, it’s only just starting,” John Boyle told Scotland’s Daily Record on Tuesday.
Earlier this year, Susan was invited to attend The White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, but she had to turn down the invitation due to contractual obligations with Britain’s Got Talent.
“Susan is exhausted, that’s all there is to it. It’s no surprise – she has gone from a small town in West Lothian to being famous around the world. She’s been battered non-stop for the last seven weeks and it has taken its toll. But she’ll be looking forward now to the Fourth of July,” John added.
She’s been steadily upgrading her appearance after being discovered on “Britain’s Got Talent,” and yesterday displayed a freshly-colored coif.
The frumpy-but-lovable Scotswoman paid a visit to the Miss toner salon in Whitburn, near her Blackburn home, to “tame her wild woolly grey hair.”
And though she’s definitely looking more feminine these days, Miss Boyle’s fashion revolution seems to be annoying the people over at “Britain’s Got Talent.”
Judge Amanda Holden told press, “Whether she knows it or not, she is standing for the average person in the street. I am sure she will comb her hair and have a bit of [lipstick] on. But she won’t be going under the knife or anything like that!”
