In career news, Zac has launched his own production company called Ninjas Runnin’ Wild and he has big plans for the future.

He explained, “I’ve just started my own production company and something that I’m working on right now is finding cool young directors. There’s so much young talent out there and these guys aren’t afraid to try new things. The whole producing thing is very new to me but I find it fascinating. You know, finding things to develop and not just waiting for scripts to come in because they don’t.

Stepping out for charity, Zac Efron made a visit to the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles, California on Friday morning (June 12).

Dressed in an orange t-shirt with the words “I’m beating cancer” written on it, the “High School Musical” hunk spent almost an hour in the hospital before emerging surrounded by a small group of staff who were thanking him for the visit.

Seemingly in a great mood, Efron said his goodbyes to the staffers before continuing along with the day’s duties.

Meanwhile, it was just announced that Zac’s hit movie “17 Again” will be making its way to store shelves later this summer – as the DVD and Blu-ray are available on August 11th.

Zac Efron was “ecstatic” to learn that Gossip Girl hottie Chace Crawford has been chosen to replace him in Paramount Picture’s upcoming motion picture remake of Footloose.

“I’m ecstatic for him. We’re both in very different places and it just happened to work out. I think it’s gonna work out for the best.”

The 17 Again star – best known for his role as Troy in Disney’s High School Musical franchise – dropped out of the film earlier this year, citing fears that he would become typecast in musical roles.

I was given my first show at MTV, and also canceled for the first time. I also was secretly having an affair with JJ Jackson, so it brings back pleasant memories.”

Ready for a red carpet night, “High School Musical” hunk Zac Efron will have the honor of presenting Ben Stiller with MTV’s Generation Award next weekend.

“Ben is a comedic chameleon, able to make the leap between drama and full-out comedy while maintain his own unique brand of subversive humor,” told Van Toffler, who is the President of MTV Networks Music/Logo/Film Group.

Stiller has been in dozens of films for all ages that include “There’s Something About Mary,” “Meet the Parents,” “Dodgeball,” “Tropic Thunder” and “Night at the Museum.” He has expressed his appreciation for the recognition.
