Back in March 2014, Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin shocked the world (ha) with the “surprise” announcement of their “conscious uncoupling.” The vibe from them was that divorce is for peasants, that the true elites announce their conscious uncoupling and then spend a year hanging out more than they ever did while married. Gwyneth has given many interviews about how she and Chris have worked hard to get along and co-parent and not devolve into some kind of gauche, middle class conflict. I believe her – I think she and Chris did work hard on making their relationship strong for their kids, and they will continue to do so. Especially now that their divorce is a done deal!

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin have sealed their deal on divorce, and the documents will be filed later Monday … TMZ has learned. Sources connected with the couple tell us … Gwyneth and Chris have been using their business managers to hash out a settlement agreement involving both property and custody.

We’re told the agreement has been signed and the divorce is a done deal … all that’s left is for the paperwork to be filed and signed by the judge.

As for the terms of the deal … we’re told it will not be revealed in the divorce docs … it’s all part of a confidential settlement. But based on how they’ve gotten along since the split, it’s almost certain they’ll share joint custody of their 2 kids. We’re told the divorce docs will cite irreconcilable differences, but it’s all very amicable.

I don’t imagine they would fight about money like the commoners. Plus, Gwyneth and Chris have both been snapping up real estate in LA, so they were already making separate plans for their living arrangements post-divorce. My guess? Gwyneth gets to keep Goop, her New York properties, her LA properties and almost all of her earnings. Meanwhile Chris keeps his Coldplay money and their English real estate.

Guess how Gwyneth celebrated her divorce? Hint: it was likely the most peasanty thing that happened to her in YEARS. Page Six says she was at a pub on the Upper East Side in NYC a few days ago with some friends and she chilled out, drinking a Coors Light (?!?!) and even deigned to do a “Fireball shot.” How gauche, Gwyneth. I expected more from you. COORS LIGHT?!?
