Mad About You alum Helen Hunt stepped out with daughter Makena, 11, in Brentwood, Calif. last week.

The mother-daughter duo stopped to chat while shopping at the Brentwood Country Mart.

The actress, 51, is currently promoting her new film Ride. Playing a helicopter mom, Hunt directs and stars in the indie surfing movie costarring Luke Wilson and Brenton Thwaites.
