I always believed – and I think the gossip records will back me up – that Gwyneth Paltrow started up with Glee producer Brad Falchuk when they were both married to other people. Maybe Gwyneth always intended for Brad to be her jumpoff, maybe he was just “someone fun” on the side while she and Chris Martin were going through a rough patch, I don’t know. But I’m almost positive that they started months before Brad’s marriage ended and Gwyneth’s marriage ended. Gwyneth and Chris’s divorce was the very model of civility and Gwyneth is now a free agent. But! Brad still has drama with his estranged wife. Sources claimed last month that Gwyneth was very upset that her current lover is still technically a married man, and that his inability to finalize his divorce has left Gwyneth feeling like she could do better. So would it be surprising to hear that Brad and Gwyneth split?

Gwyneth Paltrow may soon be a single lady once again. Having ‘consciously uncoupled’ from husband Chris Martin in March 2014, the 42-year-old Oscar winner looks like she may now split from her boyfriend of the past year, Brad Falchuk, 44. According to a report from the June 29 issue of Life & Style, friends say the blonde Iron Man star and the Glee producer are about to end their relationship.

‘Gwyneth is breaking up with him,’ said an unnamed friend of the Mortdecai actress. ‘Things got very serious very fast, but lately all they did was fight all the time and she’s tired of it.’

The two Hollywood stars began dating at some point in 2014, shortly after Gwyneth announced her separation from rocker Chris, 38, after 10 years of marriage. Parents to two children – 11-year-old Apple and nine-year-old Moses – Gwyneth and Chris finalized their divorce in April 2015. Unfortunately, differences in lifestyles and outlook may have ended up being too much for Gwyneth and her new man.

‘Gwyn likes things a certain way and Brad didn’t cater to her, so they ended up bickering over the smallest things,’ the same anonymous source continued. ‘She can be very fussy when it comes to food and Brad isn’t. Sometimes he just wanted to go out for a burger, which drove her crazy.’

Brad has two children as well, by the way. He has a son and a daughter, same as Goop, and his kids are close in age to Apple and Moses. The vibe I got from the very limited reporting on Brad and Gwyneth as an “official” couple was that he would always drop everything to be with her, that she was trying to make him part of her A-list crowd. Well, no more. Also: “Gwyn likes things a certain way and Brad didn’t cater to her…” I think that’s probably a decent assessment of Gwyneth at this point. If you’re not going to cater to Gwyneth’s every whim and kiss her ass constantly, why would she want to be around you?
