Rachel McAdams reportedly hooking up with Taylor Kitsch, not Colin Farrell

SPOILERS for True Detective

I’m probably going to be sticking with True Detective for a while longer, because I want to see how last Sunday’s cliffhanger plays out. I’ve watched the GIF of the “blood” spurting out of Colin Farrell’s abdominal gunshot wound several times, so it’s going to be interesting if they just have him walking around like nothing happened after a few days in the hospital. Another reason why I’m sticking with TD? Because I’m sort of enjoying Rachel McAdams and Colin’s scenes together. They do have chemistry, and I always sort of believed the rumors that Colin and Rachel might be hittin’ in real life. But now Us Weekly/Daily Mail says that Rachel is actually just starting up with Taylor Kitsch! Boooooo.

They star together on crime drama True Detective. And no doubt Rachel McAdams was an arresting sight Taylor Kitsch. The two co-stars of the HBO series have reportedly found romance off-screen with each other despite previously already having a friendship before shooting together.

‘It hasn’t been long,’ a source told UsWeekly of the blossoming romance. ‘But it’s serious.’

The two do have a familiarity with one another as they have been ‘friends for years’ a source close to 36-year-old Rachel told the weekly. ‘They grew closer on set.’

Things certainly seem to be going swimmingly as an insider added to UsWeekly added that the pair ‘are really into each other.’

The news comes just weeks after the Canadian actors were spotted enjoying dinner together at West Hollywood hotspot Osteria Mozza on June 2.

Some people really wanted Rachel with Jake Gyllenhaal, but to me… Jake is so neutered. It’s not that he’s un-sexy, it’s that he’s asexual. I want Rachel with someone who will really rock her world. Is Taylor Kitsch that guy? I don’t know. But it’s cute that she’s dating another Canadian and Taylor is probably better “boyfriend material” than Colin. Still… Colin and Rachel together? It would have been a hot, beautiful mess. Last thing: I find Kitsch’s True Detective character to be the most boring. So far, Paul hasn’t brought anything to the table but homophobia and squints.
