Devastating news for Randy Rogers and his wife Chelsea.
The Randy Rogers Band frontman, 33, and his wife are mourning the loss of their newborn daughter Rumer Rain.
Just six days after her birth, Rumer tragically died Tuesday.
“Rumer Rain Rogers, daughter of Randy and Chelsea Rogers, passed away last night at Seton Memorial Hospital in Austin, Texas. Rumer died of natural causes, in her parents loving arms, just days after her birth,” the band’s Facebook page made the statement Wednesday. “During this time of grieving, the family asks that individuals wishing to offer condolences make a donation to the children’s charity of their choosing. The family thanks you for your love and support.”
The band also shared the news via Twitter Wednesday, writing, “We are sad to say that Rumer Rain Rogers passed away last night. She was well loved, well cared for and in her parents loving arms.”
Last week, the band announced Rumer’s birth with a precious photo of the family in the hospital. “Newest member of the Rogers family, Rumer Rain. It’s a good day, friends.”
Rumer was the couple’s second child. They welcomed their first child, daughter River, in 2013.
Our deepest condolences go out to the Rogers family during this difficult time.
