Over the past four or five days, the British royal reporter hive-mind has been obsessed with one subject: the Duchess of Sussex’s memoir, which does not exist and probably won’t be written. This is how desperate they are for any Sussex content. They’ve got every delusional old fart doing commentary about what Meghan “will write” in her memoir, and they’ve already created an entire narrative about how Meghan will lie about Kate and this will absolutely be the final straw and after that, there would be no way (!!) for Harry and Meghan to ever “come back.” As always, I am here to bring you the lowlights so you don’t have to click on any of those horrid stories. The Sun ran an exclusive in which they cited Tom Bower and Angela Levin – two of the most racist and delusional bigots I’ve ever seen – as the sources for the “Meghan’s memoir” rumor. Then the Sun got Phil Dampier’s extensive comments on the false story:

Now royal commentator Phil Dampier has spoken out on the subject, and fears it will be the Princess of Wales who will be in the firing line, if the book rumours are correct. He told Fabulous: “Harry’s Spare was a best seller and Meghan’s would probably sell even more. It would also be the ideal opportunity for Meghan to put across her view of what happened to her when she met Harry, fell in love, joined the most famous family in the world and then left. She would give her side of what really happened between her and Kate in the run up to the wedding, when each allegedly made the other cry.

“Everyone will be fascinated to hear Meghan’s take on her relationship with Kate, whether she was hostile or welcomed her from the start. She probably thought she should have got equal billing and didn’t seem to appreciate from the start that she and Harry were the B team, not on the same level as William and Kate. She will probably talk about comparisons that were made in the press between them and will come across as bitter.”

Phil says the royal family will be feeling “very concerned” about the contents of any book that Meghan writes. He added: “The royals will assume the worst and brace themselves for more revelations. It would only make the relations much worse, but I still don’t think the royals will hit back. They will stay quiet and soak it up, even though they will be deeply hurt by it. Their policy was for Harry and Meghan to run out of ammunition, but unfortunately they have plenty left in the form of a Meghan book. There is nothing she won’t twist to justify her position.”

And Phil reckons that if Meghan were to also dish private details about the Prince and Princess of Wales, it could be the end of any hope of a reconciliation. He added: “It really would be the last straw and I doubt William and Kate would ever talk to Harry again.”

And while the firm may be worried about Meghan putting pen to paper, Harry, 39, will give her his support. The royal author added: “The couple are struggling to make money at the moment as they lost their Spotify contract and this would be a massive money spinner. I personally don’t think Meghan ever intended to stay in the royal family. But that won’t stop her concocting her own narrative of events to justify her actions, and I’m sure Harry will back her up 100 per cent. They are still friendly with Princess Eugenie, and I hope she talks to them and persuades Meghan not to write a book. Even if it’s not justified I think Meghan has now convinced herself that she is right and can’t see the other side’s point of view. She will claim she is putting forward her truth even if it’s not always the real truth.”

[From The Sun]

“She would give her side of what really happened between her and Kate in the run up to the wedding, when each allegedly made the other cry.” Meghan already gave her side to Oprah, which is that Kate made her cry. Harry gave his side, which is that Kate made Meghan cry. Kate gave her side to multiple reporters for years, which was an ever-changing story about how she threw a tantrum about children’s tights and then she cried salty white tears because Meghan is Black. “I still don’t think the royals will hit back. They will stay quiet and soak it up, even though they will be deeply hurt by it.” Ahead of the Oprah interview, Kensington Palace launched a fully unhinged smear campaign against Meghan.

Anyway, as this goes on and on, I become more convinced that “Meghan’s memoir” was the Oprah interview and the Netflix docuseries. That was Meghan’s version of events, and the Windsors should be grateful and thankful that Meghan is a million times more discreet than they’ve ever been. They abused her mercilessly for years and she’s just focused on the present and future, not the past.
