Sorry I didn’t get to this yesterday! Taylor Swift posted her first-ever Instagram of Calvin Harris. That means they’re pretty much married in the new digital age. For a celebrity of Swifty’s stature – not to mention her famous declarations about not needing boys just a few months ago – posting a photo with her lover is a BIG deal. So let’s analyze.

First off, I like that it’s not a straight-up selfie. This was posed. Tay-Tay and Calvin worked on their angles. They wanted it to look just right. They got in the big swan and they positioned themselves. And a friend snapped the photo. My question: is this embarrassing for Calvin? He was never Mr. Street Cred, but does this alienate any of his fans? And if this annoys you… think of what poor Olivia and Meredith have to go through with their mom and now “Uncle Calvin.” Are Scottish Folds capable of rolling their eyes? And maybe Uncle Calvin’s presence is why Meredith has been acting out:

But! #SwanLove was not the first time Calvin ever appeared on Swifty’s social media at all. A few days ago, she tweeted an Instagram from Gigi Hadid and that IG had a blurry photo of Calvin laughing with Swifty’s friends. Here you go… is that Swifty’s kitchen?! I think it is.
