Elton walked away from his role as Honorary Life President of Hertfordshire club Watford FC two months ago after an ongoing feud with the club’s former chairman Graham Simpson.
Just weeks later, Simpson resigned from his post, prompting the singer to consider rejoining the club. He even visited the club’s training grounds late last month, chatting happily with players and staff.
Elton has been involved with Watford FC since 1976, holding the position of owner, chairman, director and president and the club is keen to have him involved once again.
