Justin Timberlake is in the running for the lead role in DC Comics’ upcoming screen adaptation of Green Lantern.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, JT is on a shortlist along with Ryan Reynolds and Bradley Cooper.

In related news, Justin’s former girlfriend, actress Cameron Diaz, is also up for a role in the film, according to Variety.

The award-winning singer has showed off his comedic acting skills during numerous cameo appearances on sketch series Saturday Night Live. Justin has also appeared in silver screen efforts like Alpha Dog and Black Snake Moan, and The Love Guru.
