While other celebrities are traveling to far-away countries to adopt their kids, Kevin Costner and wife Christine Baumgartner are doing it the old fashioned way; they make ‘em themselves.
Costner became a father again on Sunday morning – this time to Cayden Wyatt Costner. The newborn entered the world at 10:30 a.m. at a Los Angeles hospital. He weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces.
With their new bundle of joy, the Oscar winning actor has become a daddy for the fifth time. Kevin has three children with former wife Cindy Silva: Annie (born in 1984), Lily (born in 1986), and Joe (born in 1988). He also has a son, Liam (born in 1996), with Bridget Rooney, with whom he had a brief relationship following his divorce.
The latest addition to the family, thankfully, went as smooth as could be hoped.
“Both mother and son are doing well,” said Costner’s rep. The only other tidbit divulged: The newborn has dark hair. If the little boy looks anything like his father, he’ll be breaking hearts in no time.
Meanwhile, on tap for Costner is the title role in the Jekyll-and-Hyde psychological thriller Mr. Brooks, costarring Demi Moore and William Hurt. The film is due out June 1.
