Apparently, Prince Harry did join the royal men for their annual Boxing Day hunt on the grounds of Sandringham. Weeks before Christmas, it was claimed that the Duchess of Sussex “ordered” Harry to not take part in any hunt. The reasoning for that claim was always pretty bizarre – the British tabloids always try to make Meghan sound like she’s a vegan, when clearly she eats meat, and like she’s some kind of rabid animal-rights person. She’s not, really. In any case, Meghan didn’t ban Harry from hunting, and Harry went on the hunting excursion with his father, brother and other assorted royal men. Then after the hunt, Meghan, Kate and the Queen joined the men for lunch:

The Duchess of Sussex joined Prince Harry and members of the Royal Family for a traditional shooting lunch yesterday, despite claims that she opposes bloodsports. Meghan, 37, who is expecting her first child, arrived for the ‘cold cuts’ Boxing Day feast after her husband, Prince Harry, had spent the morning bagging pheasants with his father, Prince Charles, and brother, Prince William. She was accompanied by the Duchess of Cambridge in another sign of solidarity between the two women after weeks of reports about their undoubtably awkward relationship.

The merry party took place at Wood Farm, the five-bedroom farmhouse where Prince Philip spends much of his retirement. A Sandringham insider said : ‘The men went out as usual for the shoot after a hearty breakfast. A buffet is laid out of kedgeree, bacon and eggs, cereals and toast to set them up for the day. It’s cold trudging across the muddy fields so you need plenty of sustenance.’

In years gone by the Queen and the royal wives would often be seen following along, picking up pheasants, partridges and the occasional duck. Pregnant Meghan stayed inside in the cold during the morning session, while Kate remained at Anmer Hall, her ten-bedroom house on the estate, looking after her three children, George, Charlotte and Louis. But at lunchtime the Merry Wives of Windsor were all driven to Wood Farm to be reunited- Meghan travelled in a Range Rover with the Queen and Prince Philip, 97, who missed church on Christmas Day.

A buffet was laid out at Wood Farm of cold meats, hot sausages, soup and salads, with spirits and tea to warm up the shooters, which this year also included Prince Andrew and, for the first time, his son-in-law Jack Brooksbank. Princess Eugenie joined her new husband and the others for lunch.

The insider said : ‘There is a special de-robing room on the side of the house and they all go in there and take off their muddy clothes and boots. Then they go into a side room which is specially designed for shooting parties where they toddle around in their socks helping themselves to lunch. The whole thing is incredibly relaxed and everyone is normally in a great mood. Although he can’t shoot anymore Prince Philip loves being there and so does the Queen. She will be delighted that Kate and Meghan have sorted out their problems and that the year has ended on a high with the whole family in harmony.’

After lunch the men continued shooting while Meghan and Kate returned to Sandringham for tea with the Queen and Prince Philip.

It’s believed Harry and Meghan departed from Norfolk last night, presumably to spend time with her mother, Doria Ragland, as did William and Kate, who are expected to spend some time with Kate’s family in Berkshire.

So after all that drama and smearing, it turns out that the royal Christmas played out exactly the way I thought it would. Meghan and Harry stayed at the Sandringham main house with the Queen, the Cambridges stayed at Anmer Hall with the kids, and the Sussexes and Cambridges all left Sandringham after the Boxing Day shoot. They stayed for the full royal Christmas – Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day – and now they get to enjoy the rest of their holiday with other people (the Middletons, and probably Doria Ragland is flying in, don’t you think?). Kate and Meg made the effort with each other, and in doing so, they masked the real issue: William and Harry aren’t getting along these days. Also: I love that Meghan traveled with the Queen to the lunch. I still believe that the Queen is a big fan of Meg.

Fine, I’ll say it! I’m happy for Miley Cyrus, even with her history of shenanigans. For several days, the rumors were swirling that Miley and Liam Hemsworth had a low-key wedding in Tennessee just before Christmas. Those rumors have turned out to be true: Miley confirmed the wedding by posting some photos from the service or the reception, I can’t really tell. Miley wore a simple off-the-shoulder white gown and Liam wore a dark suit and tie. Liam is also gloriously beardy these days, which is HOT. Miley ended up marrying a really hot guy, and I’d like to believe that she wanted to make sure she married Liam while he was beardy. It’s what I would have done! Beardy Liam > All the other Hemsworths.

I’ll also say this: Miley chose to release the photos which made her hot for her husband. She chose the photos where he’s clutching her in a passionate embrace and holding the back of her head like he’s about to rip that dress off of her. Again, I say well done to Miley. She changed for Liam and clearly, she believes he’s worth it. Clearly, after ten years of love and breakups and drama, they’re still crazy hot for each other.

I do wonder… why now? Is it because they’re marking the 10-year-anniversary of when they first met and fell in love? Or do you think she might be pregnant? Reportedly, the huge Malibu fires were a big factor in all of this – Miley and Liam grew even closer when their Malibu home burned down, and People Mag’s sources say that the original plan was to have the wedding in Malibu.

I shared my “take” on the body language between the Cambridges and Sussexes yesterday – for the Christmas Day walk in Sandringham, I thought Kate and Meghan “performed” very well. It almost looked like they were BOTH told to put on a good show of friendship, and both behaved impeccably. But what struck me about the body language was that the duchesses were doing the work to keep William and Harry apart, and that the brothers seem to still be on the outs. Which was perhaps the story from the beginning – that was the undercurrent of the smear campaign against Meghan, and that was the basis for the most believable stories from the campaign: that William and Harry have had a significant falling out over the past year, and their wives are being set up as the “fall guys” for the brothers’ feud. Still, the British tabloids don’t want to look any further than the “the war of the duchesses” and that’s why we get stories like this:

Kate and Meghan called a Christmas truce on the orders of the Queen and Prince Charles. The feuding duchesses smiled and walked side by side as the royals went to church at Sandringham. A royal source said: “It was a bit uncomfortable.”

Kate, William, Harry and Meghan are a picture of family affection as they walk side by side to church — after the Queen ordered the feuding Duchesses to make peace for Christmas. The two couples responded with an unwavering display of unity, with Kate and Meghan smiling and even chatting together. Both the Queen and Prince Charles had made it plain the rift must be kept under wraps during the Royals’ traditional Christmas gathering at Sandringham.

A source said: “The Queen and Charles have allowed the situation to play out without overtly interfering — but they both made it clear that Christmas was for the whole family to really come together. That meant the two couples walking into church together as the Fab Four just like they had last year. Yes, it was awkward and uncomfortable given what’s gone on over the past 12 months. But the alternative of even more negativity on Christmas Day wasn’t worth thinking about.”

Her Majesty also wanted Kate and pregnant Meghan to be on good terms by the time they sat down as a family to watch her Christmas speech at 3pm.

As I said a month ago, any story that ends with “…and Charles stepped in and saved the day” obviously comes from the Prince of Wales’ camp at Clarence House. It’s not enough that Meghan and Kate were seen looking friendly – their Christmas truce has to be part of Charles’ PR, that he’s the wise future king who keeps the younger royals in line. The problem isn’t Charles’ relationship with his two daughters-in-law though. All of this is about the brothers AND Charles. Can Charles do anything about the feud between William and Harry? Will Charles do anything?

Before December 26th, 2018, Donald Trump had never traveled to a warzone or an overseas military base. He is the first president to refuse to visit the troops for nearly two years. He didn’t spend last Christmas or this Christmas with the military. People noticed. Articles were written about how Trump is a stupid chickenhawk who only wants to hang out with Deplorables at his sad little Nazi rallies. So instead of digging in his heels, Trump actually got off his lard ass and traveled to Iraq on Wednesday, the day after Christmas.

Now that the trip has been made, I wonder what took him so long – military personnel are ALWAYS going to be a good crowd for any president. I have no idea how many of these soldiers voted for Trump – probably half, maybe more? – but all of them were happy to see him, and he got to pretend to be at one of his little Nazi rallies and act like they were all there to edify and glorify him personally. Melania was there too – the cameras caught her several times looking like she could straight up murder someone.

Hilariously, Trump’s first overseas visit to the troops came on the same day that the New York Times published an investigative piece on how Trump dodged the Vietnam War draft. According to the NYT, a podiatrist who rented office space from Trump’s father, Fred Trump, was the doctor who “diagnosed” Donald Trump with “bone spurs.” As in, Fred Trump was a well-connected man and he asked one of his tenants to give his son a shady medical diagnosis to avoid the draft. The podiatrist’s daughters claim that their dad did it as a favor to Fred Trump. Draft-dodging Bigly Bonespurs.

We’ve established that I’m a giant scaredy cat, right? I am – I can’t watch most horror films. I’m fine with blood and gore, even if I don’t really like those films. But anything where a ghost reaches out of a mirror, or a zombie clone sticks a pair of scissors in her ear, I’m out. Sorry not sorry. I did watch – and love – Jordan Peele’s Get Out. I thought it was brilliant, and the “scares” in that film were mostly intellectual and thought-provoking. While I know Get Out was characterized as horror, I found it to be more of a suspense-drama-comedy. Since Get Out, Jordan Peele has been hard at work on a variety of projects, as an actor (and voice actor) and producer. He produced BlacKkKlansman, did you know that? He’s also producing a docu-series on Lorena Bobbitt AND he’s rebooting The Twilight Zone. But many were wondering about his secretive directorial follow-up to Get Out. We knew the film was called Us. We knew Lupita Nyong’o was involved. But no one knew the plot or what any of it was about. Well, the trailer dropped on Christmas Day. And I’m out, just FYI.

What I love is that Jordan Peele is such a horror-intellectual – he loves old-fashioned scares and gore and all of that, but mostly he gets off on finding new ways to be unsettling, to make audiences uncomfortable on a lot of different levels. That’s what will happen here – Us looks bloodier and more traditional-horror than Get Out. But I’m positive it will have uncomfortable themes about race and family too. That being said, I’m still out. I will have nightmares for months if I see this movie.

Of all the popular singer/songwriters, Meghan Trainor is one of my favorites. She cranks out earworm hits, but did you know that she’s also a hitmaker for other artists? She wrote Jennifer Lopez’s “Ain’t Your Mama,” Fifth Harmony’s “Sledgehammer,” and Rascal Flatts’ “I Like the Sound of That,” among many others. So her career is on fire and she’s now married! Meghan married her boyfriend, actor Daryl Sabara, in a backyard ceremony in front of about 100 guests. The ceremony was on her 25th birthday, December 22. The two first started dating in the summer of 2016 and got engaged last year on December 21st. Meghan has made no secret of the fact that she wanted to make it official with Daryl, admitting that she wrote the song “Marry Me” about him just a few months after they got together. And now they’re married! People has the details:

The Grammy winner wed actor Daryl Sabara on Saturday — her 25th birthday — in front of 100 close friends and family in an intimate backyard ceremony at their L.A. home, PEOPLE confirms exclusively.

“It’s the beginning of an awesome, whole new life,” says Trainor. “I got way more than I ever wished for.”

“I’m the luckiest guy in the world,” adds Spy Kids star Sabara, 26.

To walk down the aisle, the bride wore an elegant Berta gown, Badgley Mischka heels and Norman Silverman jewels. Then for the reception, where guests noshed on an assortment of comfort foods, Trainor slipped into a lace suit by Rita Vinieris and Aldo sneakers to get the party started.

As for what the newlyweds are looking forward to most in marriage?

“Just rockin’ them rings!” says Trainor, who exchanged bands with Sabara after reciting hand-written vows during the ceremony, which was coordinated by the wedding planners at Sacks Productions. “I’m really excited to say ‘hubby’ and ‘husband.’

“I’m no longer the ‘future hubby’ — I get to just be the hubby, which I’m excited about!” adds Sabara.

I totally get that I’m one of the few people around here who genuinely likes to gossip about the stars of HGTV shows. What can I say? Watching HGTV relaxes me and I enjoy some of the personalities on that network. I’ve paid attention to Christina and Tarek El Moussa’s situation over the years – they’re the hosts/flippers of Flip or Flop, which has now been franchised out in other cities. Tarek and Christina split in 2016, and only finalized their divorce this year. They still do Flip or Flop together (and it’s surprisingly watchable), and I have a feeling that they’re still very financially entangled with each other. Plus, they have joint custody of their kids, Taylor and Braden. Christina began dating soon after the split, and she settled down with Ant Anstead, host of Wheeler Dealers, pretty quickly. Well,Christina and Ant got married over the holiday weekend!

The star of HGTV’s “Flip or Flop” married Ant Anstead, host of the car series “Wheeler Dealers,” over the weekend at their Newport Beach, California home. The two told their 70 guests they would be watching the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade and surprised them by exchanging vows.

El Moussa was previously married to Tarek El Moussa. The two split in 2016 and finalized their divorce in 2018. They are parents to two children Taylor, 8, and 3-year-old, Braden. Anstead has two children of his own, Amelie, 15 and 12-year-old Archie.

I’m a little bit surprised that Christina would jump into another marriage so soon after her divorce. I’ve been watching the post-divorce season of Flip or Flop, and let me tell you – Christina and Tarek are still incredibly involved in each other’s lives, and it’s not just about co-parenting or being business partners. I believe Tarek is still in love with her, and it felt like he was still holding out hope that they might reunite. Maybe that’s why she got married? To really tell Tarek that there’s no chance for reconciliation?

People Magazine had some exclusive details on Christina’s Ines Di Santo wedding gown – go here to read. Apparently, the lace sleeves were added to an existing design, and then the sleeves were “detachable,” and Christina took them off for the party. Which… is very weird, but whatever.

Earlier in 2018, Morgan and Bode Miller lost their daughter in a terrible pool accident where she drowned. Now Morgan is going to her Instagram to share a very sweet tribute to their daughter Emeline “Emmy” Miller. This is their first Christmas to live without her.

Morgan has been very brave throughout all of this. Not long after Emmy passed, she shared the picture of herself holding her daughter during her last moments alive. This couldn’t have been easy to put out there for the world to see.

The new post that Morgan made is all about Emmy and their first Christmas without here there. It has been a hard year on the family, but they do have other children they have to stay strong for regardless. Here is what she shared in the new post.

This had to be a hard year for the Miller family. They will never forget their daughter, but hopefully, it starts to get easier for them. The Miller’s have several children. They can’t replace Emmy, but they can give the family a reason to stay strong. They share Samuel, 5, with Bode Miller’s ex Sara McKenna. They also have children Nash, 3 and Easton, almost 3 months.

If you want to keep up with Bode and Morgan Miller, they are always posting on their Instagram. Morgan is a lot more active than Bode and she makes sure to share about their children, including their daughter they lost, all the time. The couple is hoping for a great 2019. This couple deserves a good year!

We learned last week that Kristen Stewart suddenly has a new girlfriend. All year, K-Stew had been with Stella Maxwell and they’d been pretty low-key about it. But after Kristen was seen all over LA with Sara Dinkin just before Christmas, suddenly “sources” had the details on her split with Stella:

It’s officially over for Kristen Stewart and Stella Maxwell. The twosome called it quits “around a month ago,” a source tells Us Weekly exclusively.

“They stopped seeing eye to eye and were living very different lives,” the source explains, noting that long distance “didn’t help” their relationship. According to the insider, however, Stewart, 28, and Maxwell, also 28, “had issues” before the Twilight alum left to film the Charlie’s Angels reboot in Germany. The source adds: “Stella and Kristen still share a ton of friends and are friendly with each other.” The pair were last seen together in October at an airport in Amsterdam.

So the timeline is that Kristen was in Germany, filming the Charlie’s Angels reboot throughout much of the fall, and that the distance was a huge factor in her breakup with Stella, which probably happened in November. And then, in true K-Stew fashion, she moved on rather spectacularly and she’s doing the big New Girlfriend Rollout. These photos of Kristen and Sara Dinkin are from Christmas Eve – they were seen in Los Feliz with Kristen’s hairdresser-friend CJ Romero. But Kristen definitely wants us to know that she and Sara are dating. I feel a little bit sorry for Stella, right? It’s like “merry Christmas, your ex is dating someone new and she REALLY wants people to know about it.”

My expectation was that Donald Trump was going to shut down the government over his stupid wall and then he was going to f–k off to Mar-a-Lago for Christmas. Instead, he stayed at the White House for Christmas and rage-tweeted and rage-called children. On Christmas Eve, Trump spoke on the phone to kids who were calling into NORAD’s Santa Tracker. Since Trump lacks the intelligence God gave a fruit fly, he totally screwed it up. How difficult it is to screw up short phone calls to kids on Christmas? All you have to ask is “what do you want Santa to bring you for Christmas?” or “what Christmas candy did you eat?” or “what’s your favorite Christmas song?” or literally ANYTHING. Behold:

A little girl from South Carolina looking to track down Santa Claus’ location on Christmas Eve ended up having an expected conversation with Donald Trump. Collman Lloyd, 7, called NORAD Santa Tracker on Monday night and was redirected to the president himself.

When connected, Lloyd and Trump talked about her plan to leave St. Nick and his reindeers treats. She explained she intended on putting out cookies and hanging out with her friends before heading to bed, according to a video obtained by Post and Courier and WISTV.

“Well, you just have a good time,” Trump told the young girl before asking, “Are you still a believer in Santa?”

Lloyd responded, “Yes, sir.”

However, Trump asked her, “Because at 7, it’s marginal, right?” Though she did not understand what the word “marginal” meant, according to the reports, the child responded, “Yes, sir.”

Lloyd opened up about her conversation with the president explaining to The Post and Courier that she had no idea Trump was on the other line. Nonetheless, Lloyd was taken aback by the fact that she had the opportunity to talk to the president.

“I was like, ‘Wow.’ I was shocked,” Lloyd told the Post and Courier. “It wasn’t really [nerve-wracking), I just had to think of what the truth was,” Lloyd continued to the outlet.

There’s video too, because of course there is. You can just tell how uncomfortable he is speaking to kids in any way, shape of form. Which is just a reminder that all of his wives were the ones raising his children, and he had nothing to do with his kids when they were little. Well, except for Ivanka. But Precious Ivanka learned to talk to her dad, not the other way around.
