I feel like we’ve already heard random rumors for years about quiet engagements and secret weddings with regards to Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth. They’ve been dealing with each other for a full decade, minus some breakups here and there. They’ve seemed pretty solid for the past few years though, so it would not surprise me if this story is true: reportedly, Miley and Liam got married over the weekend?
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth appear to have tied the knot on Sunday night. Photos and video posted to the Instagram story of the couple’s surfer friend Conrad Jack Carr show Hemsworth, 28, and his brothers Chris and Luke doing a “shotski,” with Mr. and Mrs. balloons in the background. Another photo shows Cyrus, 26, and Hemsworth — dressed in traditional white and a tux — in front of cake and cupcakes, with the singer’s mom Tish in the frame.
Reps for both stars did not immediately reply to PEOPLE’s request for comment, but it appeared Miley’s sisters Noah and Brandi were also in attendance at the party, held at the couple’s home in Franklin, Tennessee. On their Instagram Stories, the girls posed together with Carr — the Mrs. balloons floating in the background. Noah, 18, was super casual in a black turtleneck and knit cap, with Brandi, 31, wearing a shiny off-white top. Noah also posted a tearful photo with a broken heart emoji, suggesting their celebration was an emotional one.

You can see the social media posts at People – it did look like a low-key wedding, but I don’t understand why Miley and Liam haven’t confirmed it, through their reps or through a tweet or something, anything. It’s weird. Maybe it wasn’t a full-on wedding? Maybe it was something like a commitment ceremony? I don’t know. Congrats to them if it really happened.

The Christmas Day walk-to-church at Sandringham was hyped like one of the biggest gossip events of the year. And maybe it was? For months, we’ve been hearing about “the war” between the duchesses, Kate and Meghan. We’ve heard that Meg is a terrible diva and Kate is a steel marshmallow who cries when Meghan is a terrible diva. We’ve heard a million different versions of “these two women are completely different and they don’t get along at all.” After all that hype, the Cambridges and the Sussexes walked together peacefully to church at Sandringham on Christmas Day. There was no hair-pulling, so side-eyes, no hisses or bitch-slaps. Meghan and Kate even made a point of walking side-by-side, at the same pace, down the lane.
If you want me to be a total gossip, I’ll say that the body language that interests me the most is not the stuff between Kate and Meghan – they’re clearly trying to get along, and trying to be SEEN trying to get along. No, the most interesting body language is between Harry and William. THEY look like they’re barely speaking to each other. Which gives another dimension to Meg and Kate’s sisterly display – they’re two sisters-in-law trying to get their husbands to get along on Christmas. Several days before Christmas, a “source” told People Mag that Harry has been “really grumpy” lately and “something has changed, and no one can quite put their finger on it. He looks cross with the world.” I suspect Harry is legit grumpy with the smear campaign against his wife for the past five weeks?
Fashion notes: Kate wore a new-to-us Catherine Walker coat dress with a velvet collar and cuffs. Something similar would retail for about £3,000. (Look, VELVET BUTTONS.) She’s also been trying to up her shoe game recently – these are dark red/burgundy Jimmy Choos. She’s also been trying to make giant headbands and headpieces happen all year – her Christmas headband was by Jane Taylor. Meghan, on the other hand, chose a more low-key look in navy – she’s in Victoria Beckham, almost entirely. That’s a VB coat, dress, boots and bag. I love her navy feathered fascinator.
Last thing: reportedly, Meghan is fine with Harry hunting on Boxing Day, so maybe that will happen/is happening?

Here are some additional photos of the Duchess of Cambridge in her Christmas best at Sandringham, trying to break the internet by making a public show of getting along with the Duchess of Sussex. You know what I thought when I saw these pics? “Someone told her to dress more like a Future Queen.” The hemline of her Catherine Walker coatdress is super-conservative, the velvet detailing is very fussy and royal, and the brooch is totally Future Queen Realness. Will we ever see the jeggings and wedges again?!?
Anyway, the gossip build-up was all about this Sandringham church-walk on Christmas Day. All of the royal stories were building up to it. And then Kate decided to grab some solo headlines just a few days before Christmas:
The Sun seemed to get the exclusive (bystander?) photos – Kate went to The Range, described as a “cut-price outlet” by The Sun. From the descriptions of the place, I get the feeling it’s sort of like the American chain Target? Perhaps. Kate brought Charlotte and George to The Range and Kate reportedly “bought trolley-loads of pictures, children’s books and artist materials then queued at the tills.” The Sun theorized that she was buying cheap “gag gifts” for the royal family, but from the descriptions of kids’ books and arts & crafts stuff, I bet she was doing last-minute shopping for her own children, and maybe some of the royal kids, like Mia Tindall. But the whole thing was interesting, right? I never would have figured Kate for a last-minute Christmas shopper, but there she was, doing a “just like us” stunt, just in time to snatch some last minute headlines. Well played, Kate.

The biggest headlines from the Royal Christmas at Sandringham were always going to be about the Cambridges and the Sussexes. I have no idea if that irritates other members of the royal family or not. I suspect it’s a mix bag – while the Queen would obviously prefer that everyone gets along, she also knows that the “institution” will survive longer if there’s more interest in all of the “franchises.” I suspect the older royals – The Countess of Wessex, Princess Anne – couldn’t really care less. But I think the York princesses were probably irritated that the Cambridges and Sussexes sucked all of the air out of the room, so to speak.
When I saw Kate’s red, Christmas-y get-up, I actually had a moment of “oh, wish Meghan had played that game a little bit too and went for more of a Christmas theme.” But after seeing the photos of Queen Elizabeth in her grey-lilac, I’m totally here for royals not dressing in the traditional green and red. My favorite part of the Queen’s ensemble? Her gorgeous brooch, of course.
This is Jack Brooksbank’s first royal Christmas – he married Princess Eugenie in October. They both still have the honeymoon glow. Eugenie wore one of my favorite coats from this year’s Royal Christmas.
The Countess of Wessex and the Princess Royal both went with shades of turquoise.
Here’s Autumn Phillips (wife of Peter Phillips, who is Anne’s son) and Princess Beatrice, and another photo of Autumn and Peter.
Zara and Mike Tindall looked super-cute in coordinated blue. Zara’s little purple fascinator is crazy though.

Kids are officially out of school for winter break. That means out-of-school activities are in full force to keep your little ones busy and out of trouble. We have some fun and out of the box activities that will keep your kids busy and won’t break the bank.
If you live in a cold climate and there is snow outside you can always rely on a good old fashion afternoon of sledding. You can let your kiddos paint or decorate a sled before going out on the hillside for some sledding. It’s a great art and crafts activity before heading outdoors to run off all of that steam they’ve built up.
Let your kids build a blanket fort in the living room. A great and easy way is to gather blankets and sheets from the linen closet and have your kids drape them over the dining room table. Then supply them with comfy pillows and let them enjoy their favorite holiday movie while sitting in their newly constructed fort.
There is nothing like a good scavenger hunt especially when you don’t know what to do with all of that leftover holiday candy. It’s a great way to keep your kiddos occupied while giving them the incentive to score some candy before you ditch it.

Have a game night, it’s a fabulous way to involve the whole family. Divide up your family in teams and play a game that involves all members like trivia or charades. Make some popcorn and sweet treats so everyone can snack throughout the game.
And last but not least throw a housecleaning party, yes we said housecleaning party. Appoint a room for each of your family members and have them clean out drawers and closets. Have your kids clean out clothes they have outgrown and toys they no longer play with.
Tell your kiddos that items they no longer use will be donated to a local charity or goodwill for someone else to enjoy. To make it more enticing make a point system for each room they clean out and they can cash their points in at the end for more screen time or game time.
