Meghan Markle covers the new issue of US Weekly that clearly went to print before her surprise appearance at the British Fashion Awards on Monday night because otherwise, obviously, they would have used a photo from that event. She looked amazing. And, you know, belly-cupping is always a newsstand b…
In some ways, I’m still recovering from the Tiddlebanging. I know I bring it up all the time and I know it’s MY issue, not theirs. But it really was a glorious time to be alive, and to be a professional gossip. Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston were SO extra and it was amazing. Just think, we might never see anything like that ever again – one of the biggest pop stars in the world going on a worldwide Love Tour with an internet-famous and popular actor. Still, there was “backlash” and Taylor “learned” from the Tiddlebanging experience. She learned that the public won’t buy it if she oversells it. So everything with Joe Alwyn has been very different. Sure, there were a few photo-ops and strolls. But the only thing that JoeTay has in common with Tiddles is the rumormongering about engagements. The “engagement” rumor is happening again:
Are you ready for it? Taylor Swift has had her fair share of heartache, but it seems like she has finally found The One: her boyfriend of almost two years, Joe Alwyn.
Although the Grammy winner, 28, has kept her romance with the British actor, 27, under wraps, she’s more serious about him than she’s ever been with anyone else — and he feels the same!
“Joe is very keen on proposing soon,” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly in the new issue. “But he wants to make it unforgettable and extremely special.”
Whenever the epic moment comes, the “End Game” songstress will be ready. “He’s her dream guy,” the insider added to Us. “Taylor’s going to be over the moon.”
[From Us Weekly]
If it feels “too soon,” that’s because A) we didn’t know about their relationship for months when they first started, and B) they really can go weeks/months without making news. But they really have been together for two years. I’ve said before that I can see a lot of positives for JoeTay if they do get engaged – she’s clearly found someone who is happy to let her control the narrative around their relationship, and he’s been quietly benefiting from their relationship too, but he just hasn’t been in-your-face about it. Anyway, what do you think? A Christmas proposal? Or will he wait until Valentine’s Day 2019?
Also: an engagement would be a great way to change the subject after Taylor got snubbed so hard when the Grammy nominations came out.

She’s notoriously private about her personal life and since becoming a mother in November the Welcome to Marwen star has continued to keep her personal life personal revealing zero details about her baby… until now. As any new mother can relate, Diane Kruger is working on little to no sleep and a slip up of details is bound to happen when you’re sleep deprived.
The 42-year-old actress revealed during an interview on Monday, December 10 that she and boyfriend Norman Reedus had welcomed a baby girl last month.

“She’s very little, but I’m tired,” the Troy actress revealed while speaking to Extra. “I feel like a superhero right now.”
Kruger also revealed that her household is anything but calm since the arrival of her little girl. “It’s already chaotic in the house. I don’t think it could get any worse. “It’s a great moment of joy. We have a lot to be thankful for. It’s been a wonderful year.”
Kruger also went on to dish her holiday plans this year, and she plans on staying in nesting mode with her new little family member. “I’m just looking forward to having my own little family and be together and have take-out because I don’t think I can step away to cook.”
Kruger also plans on starting new traditions with her beau Reedus and their daughter. “I think this is the beginning of new, because we both come from single mother families, you know, so growing up we never had the big family reunions,” she said. “What’s exciting is to start your own. And anything is possible and as long as my home is happy and light and positive, it doesn’t matter.”

For both businesses and individuals, it is not uncommon to encounter financial difficulties at some point in life. Especially when your lenders are on your back. Maybe you’re facing foreclosure threats, and your income doesn’t seem to meet your financial obligations anymore, filing for bankruptcy is one of the best ways out of this hectic situation. But then again, it doesn’t have to be the end of the road for you. There is life after filing for bankruptcy, especially if you equip yourself with expert financial advice and work towards building credit anew.
Most likely you’ll close any bank accounts, credit card accounts, and loan accounts that are affected by the delinquency you’re filing for bankruptcy against. As a matter of fact, most legal financial experts recommend closing such savings/checking accounts and opening a new one before filing. But the big question is, how do you go about opening a new bank account after you’ve filed for bankruptcy chapter 7, 11, or 13? Well, here are 5 tips to setting up a bank account after filing for bankruptcy.
Keep Tabs with Your Credit Report
The main reason you filed for bankruptcy in the first place is to seek a fresh financial start. However, the fact that the process might have affected your creditworthiness isn’t to be ruled out. It obviously affected your credit score, and rebuilding credit should be among your topmost priorities when opening a new bank account. Needless to mention, this will require you to stay updated but regularly checking your credit report and in an attempt to seek ways to best improve it.
Develop A Savings Mentality
To make the most out of the opportunity you get from a successful bankruptcy case, it pays to develop an aggressive savings mentality, especially if you got in trouble for borrowing more than you can pay or mismanaging borrowed funds. Now that you have a lesser burden on your shoulder, take this opportunity to save as much as you can for emergencies, future investments, and your personal and financial growth.
As a matter of fact, opening a savings account can be easier after filing bankruptcy compared to a checking account. Nonetheless, you’ll want to start small and be realistic with your savings ambitions. You can even consider setting up automatic/direct deposits from your paycheck to your savings account or debit card.
Think About a Future Personal Loan
Personal loans are a great instrument to rebuild credit. Especially if your current income is substantial, you can qualify for a personal loan even after filing for bankruptcy. However, different lenders will have different qualification criteria, so be sure to do your homework well and figure out the best banks and credit unions that provide you with the opportunity to open a bank account without having to wait for the 5-year period that it takes for delinquency/bankruptcy entries to be cleared.
You’ll be surprised that some of these institutions will also consider giving you a personal loan upon meeting a certain threshold of creditworthiness. In this case, https://letmebank.com/best-second-chance-banks/ can be a good place to seek more information.
Consider a Secure Bank Account
Most banks and lending institutions are required to disclose and share debtor information with credit bureaus. After bankruptcy, the chances of being denied a new account can increase drastically. However, this may vary from one to another, and especially if your relationships only went sour with one bank or lender, others may be willing to accommodate you. Nonetheless, sometimes you’ll want to opt for prepaid debit cards to start building your creditworthiness and work your way up.
Live Within Your Means
You just can’t put this across any better. Whether you’re facing, dealing with, or have already filed for bankruptcy, you have to live within your budget. Otherwise, the new account your open will prove to be an added expense that you most probably don’t need right now! Stay abreast with your bills, remissions, and utility payments. Do not spend more than you earn!
With the above few tips, wish you the best of luck in your post-bankruptcy financial journey!

This is a cautionary tale for all the stunt queens and melodramatic fashionistas out there: if you’re going to attempt a major LEWK at a big film premiere, please make sure the carpet is big enough and empty enough to accommodate your LEWK. Jennifer Lopez spent all of Wednesday in New York, doing press for Second Act, her Christmas comedy. She did a Blake Lively-esque fashion show for the paparazzi, changing her costumes multiple times throughout the day as she appeared on talk shows and Q&A sessions and whatever.
It was all building up to the big New York premiere. Jennifer was supposed to rule the carpet in an epic Giambattista Valli dress with an epic mullet skirt with a ten-foot-long train. J.Lo planned it perfectly… and then the carpet wasn’t big enough for her hot pink dress. No one could get the really dramatic full-length photo of the dress and the train. Instead, Jennifer’s look became a nuisance, something people had to negotiate around as they tried to do red carpet interviews and pose for photos. Rookie mistake, Jennifer. She knows it too – she didn’t look happy at all on the carpet. Also: Alex Rodriguez came out for this premiere, after avoiding the other premieres.
I’m also including premiere photos of Milo Ventimiglia, Leah Remini and Vanessa Hudgens. V-Hud is wearing Marc Jacobs – it’s kind of ridiculous, yet I understand why she chose it.

On Tuesday, Nancy Pelosi burned Donald Trump and walked out of the White House like a boss. Pelosi was badass in the Oval Office meeting with Trump, and then she continued to own him in interviews following the meeting. Pelosi’s White House exit strut became a hilarious meme about her righteousness and general badassery. It was a perfect storm, really: after so men turned into spineless cowards in Trump’s presence, there was a 78-year-old woman who defied him openly and called him out on his bullsh-t.
Of course wanted to know the designer ID for her Autumnal Coat of Righteousness. It was part of the meme – Nancy Pelosi strutting out of the White House in her heels and her funnel-neck coat. Oscar-winner Barry Jenkins was even writing love letters to/about the coat. As it turns out, the Max Mara coat has been in Pelosi’s closet for a while – the coat is from the 2013 collection. And after the coat became a viral sensation, Max Mara has decided to reissue it!!! OMG.
The Times was also one of the first to correctly identify the maker of the coat: Max Mara. This wasn’t fresh-off-the-runway, just-hit-stores Max Mara, though—Pelosi’s burnt-red style dates back to 2013. In order to authentically get the House Minority look, you’d have to dig deep into the resale market, scouring the eBay’s, Tradesy’s, and TheRealReal’s of the world to buy the Glamis coat.
Except that late Wednesday afternoon, the Italian fashion house sent out a press release that not only confirmed the origins of Pelosi’s coat but also announced that Max Mara would be reinstating the Glamis into its outerwear collection in 2019. “In a variety of colorways,” no less! A spokesperson for the brand confirmed to Glamour that the decision to bring it back was inspired by Pelosi.
Ian Griffiths, the creative director of Max Mara, issued a statement on the Pelosi sighting too: “You develop an emotional relationship with a coat like nothing else in your wardrobe. I can imagine why Ms. Pelosi chose to wear it for this important moment, and I’m honored.”

The year is 2018 and the fashion world changed directions on a dime because a powerful and righteous 78-year-old woman owned a fascist and then walked away in a fabulous coat.

Obviously, it’s not against the law to lie on Twitter. It’s not against the law for a sitting president to lie in a press conference, or in an interview to Fox News, or whatever else. Donald Trump is not under oath when he speaks or tweets publicly. His lies only “count” in a legal sense if and when he lies in a sworn statement, in a deposition or in a criminal or civil investigation or court proceeding. But I have to think that Scramblin’ Don shouldn’t have morning tantrums in which he explicitly tries to justify his white-collar crimes. It seems like Michael Cohen’s sentencing yesterday really got to Ol’ Baby Fists. And this is what we got:
I never directed Michael Cohen to break the law. He was a lawyer and he is supposed to know the law. It is called “advice of counsel,” and a lawyer has great liability if a mistake is made. That is why they get paid. Despite that many campaign finance lawyers have strongly……

….guilty even on a civil basis. Those charges were just agreed to by him in order to embarrass the president and get a much reduced prison sentence, which he did-including the fact that his family was temporarily let off the hook. As a lawyer, Michael has great liability to me!

Despite our pleas to not allow Trumpism to become the new normal, I can already predict the avalanche of shrugs coming from the Republican Party today. The leader of their party is on Twitter, openly discussing whether or not he broke the law by ordering the payout to Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal – HIS MISTRESSES – just before the election. And besides that, Trump’s legal argument is all over the place – I think he’s just saying that it’s all Cohen’s fault, and Cohen was acting in a vacuum, with no direction from Trump whatsoever. Which… is not true, and won’t hold up in court. I’d love to hear from any lawyer-commenters on this. I have a feeling that Bob Mueller has gently arched one brow as he read these tweets.

Dear Gossips,
As you may have heard, the Screen Actors Guild award nominations kicked off all kinds of talk and frustration about snubs and category fraud yesterday. There are actors and films that have been recognized and awarded for weeks that the guild ignored. There is also a film that every…
