Chrissy Teigen Reveals her son Miles Needs to Wear a Helmet to Treat His ‘Adorable Misshapen Head’
Chrissy Teigen, 33, revealed via Twitter on Monday that her 6-month-old son Miles Theodore is going to be sporting some new gear. A helmet to treat his ‘adorable misshapen head.’
“Baby miles getting fitted for a little helmet today for his adorable slightly misshapen head. so if you see pictures, don’t feel bad for him because he’s just fixing his flat and honestly he’s probably gonna be even cuter with it somehow,” Teigen tweeted.
The condition Plagiocephaly sometimes referred to as “Flat Head Syndrome” occurs when one of the soft skull plates on a child’s head flattens. The condition is not a real threat to a child’s health and is often caused when a child lays on he or she’s back too much or stays in one particular position more than others.
And Teigen is not alone in the helmet club. The condition is more common than you think. A study done in 2013 estimated 46% of babies have a degree of plagiocephaly. Once the child is prescribed the helmet adjustments are made sometimes weekly to keep up with the child’s growth and changing head shape.
Dr. Ian Mutchnick neurosurgeon with Norton Children’s Hospital and Norton Neuroscience Institute recommends, “A helmet before 6 months of age works great, between 6 and 9 months works well and really should not be considered after about 11 to 12 months.” Mutchnick went on to say, “In general, a helmet is worn for two to four months.”

Here are some other recommendations if you have a kiddo at home being treat for plagiocephaly. Implement tummy time if you haven’t already. Doctors urged parents to do tummy time daily, the activity will strengthen your child’s neck muscles.
Another option is to switch things up for your baby. If your child lays in his or her crib looking out one direction move the crib to another area of the nursery. A different view for your child will force your baby to turn his head a different way to look at his new scenery.

I will say this about the past three weeks of royal melodrama: I enjoy being proven right retroactively. I knew, more than a year ago, that then-Meghan Markle’s entrance into the royal fold was a cataclysmic event (for royalty), and I knew that everything was not sunshine and roses behind-the-scenes. To all of those people who claimed that of course Future King William and Future Queen Kate were of course behaving beautifully and there was no drama… well, I told you so. According to a detailed new article in the Sun, William and Harry were falling out over Meghan as early as late 2016. Some highlights from this Sun story:
Harry will not stand for any criticism of Meghan: As one courtier told me: “It’s my opinion that Harry feels he couldn’t protect his mother, so he’s going all out to protect his wife. This is his way of atoning. He will brook absolutely no criticism of Meghan — and he is so sensitive he often sees criticism or negativity where there isn’t any.”
When Harry first introduced William & Meghan: The first hint of friction came after William was introduced to Meghan, 37, when she was staying at Kensington Palace. Once she’d returned home to Canada, Wills sat Harry down for a chat — meant as brotherly advice. A well-placed source said: “William told his brother they knew nothing about her background, her intentions, what she was really like. He just wanted to stress that becoming part of the Royal Family is a massive undertaking and the pressure and scrutiny is unrelenting. Was Meghan the right one?” The chat did not go down well. “Harry went mental,” said the friend. “He accused his brother of trying to finish his romance before it had begun. The brothers’ relationship has not really recovered.”
The rest of the family had concerns too: The Sun understands other senior members of the family also “had concerns” and voiced them to Harry. As one courtier cautiously volunteered: “A lot of people in the family objected. Who really knows what the concerns were? Was it Meghan’s background? Her father and dreadful half-sister? Because she was an outspoken American? Divorced? Harry stood up for Meghan very forcibly. He really loves her.”
The Middletons didn’t want to invite Meghan to Pippa’s wedding: Meghan also faced some opposition from the Middleton family, who didn’t want to invite her to Pippa’s wedding last May. They feared Meghan’s first public appearance with Prince Harry would overshadow the bride’s big day. Eventually she was asked but chose only to go to the evening do.
Meghan hoped Kate would help her: She hoped that in Kate, another “outsider” who had navigated the choppy waters with aplomb, she would find a natural best friend. A royal source said: “Meghan hoped Kate would show her the ropes. But, equally understandably, Kate was busy. She didn’t have as much time for her as Meghan would have liked. They were at very different places in their lives. Meghan felt quite let down. She had really tried but felt rebuffed, and so just stopped trying.”
Harry was mad on Meghan’s behalf: Harry did not take this lightly and spoke to William about making Meghan feel welcome. William, of course, took his wife’s side — after all, she was following his lead.
When the Queen made Harry the new Commonwealth Youth Ambassador: Wills’ nose was reportedly put out of joint when the Queen gave the plum job to his brother instead of him. Afterwards William had to be cajoled into doing anything for the Commonwealth, say courtiers.
When Thomas Markle made an ass of himself ahead of the wedding: Calm but collected, Meghan decided her team should say nothing publicly and cut him off. However, William — having lost his mum — couldn’t understand ignoring a parent, whatever they’d done. He thought Meghan was making a mistake. Even Charles, who dotes on Meghan, asked a senior member of his staff to intervene. But the policy stands and The Sun understands she has still not spoken to Thomas.
Meghan isn’t afraid of the royals: Meghan is said to be far less intimidated by the royals than might be supposed. At a recent gathering of senior family members, including Meghan, one well-placed aide remarked: “All their IQs put together would not equal hers.”
[From The Sun]
So… Harry was and is passionately in love with Meghan and will defend her ferociously, especially when William is being passive-aggressive and all “hey now, this woman might overshadow me and Kate, we can’t have that.” And WTF business is it of William’s if Meghan cuts off contact with a toxic AF relative? William and Harry’s mother cut people out of her life quite regularly too, even relatives. As for Meghan having a high IQ… granted, I think she’s very bright and she’s a real go-getter, and immensely suited to a public-figure job. But bragging about how she’s smarter than the dull Windsors isn’t that much of a brag. Basically, I think this story is closer to Harry and Meghan’s side – he’s passionate and emotional and crazy in love, and I could see how Harry would be very hurt to not have William’s full support at that moment.
Last thing: the issue with Meghan being invited to Pippa’s wedding is still so f–king stupid. Pippa didn’t have to invite Harry OR Meghan. She ended up inviting them both because the Middletons wanted a star-studded and royalty-studded wedding for Pippa. If Pippa really felt that strongly about Meghan not coming, she should have said so – and if she had, Harry would have simply skipped the wedding. For the Middletons to still be making this into an issue is ridiculous.

Well, we learned why Donald Trump was freaking out so hard on Twitter Friday morning. Friday turned out to be a pretty big day for the Mueller investigation. I saw some pundits call it “the beginning of the end” or “one of the biggest days in the investigation,” and maybe that will prove true in the long run, but right now it just feels like… it was a good day, but there’s still a way to go. On Friday, the Southern District of New York made their sentencing recommendations for Michael Cohen, and Mueller’s team released a brief in the Paul Manafort situation. Here are the Washington Post’s takeaways:
1. SDNY: Cohen has overstated his cooperation with Mueller
This might be the biggest takeaway when it comes to the SDNY document — and its relevance to Trump. We knew Cohen never technically had a cooperation agreement with SDNY or Mueller, but he made a big public show of looking like he was atoning for his wrongs by telling prosecutors whatever they asked.
2. The government has implicated Trump in Cohen’s crimes
We knew from his plea deal, in which he admitted to eight crimes, that Cohen had implicated Trump in campaign finance violations involving the payment to Stormy Daniels. But, as The Post’s Philip Bump details, here the SDNY prosecutors also state Trump’s role in directing the payment as plain fact: “In particular, and as Cohen himself has now admitted, with respect to both payments, he acted in coordination with and at the direction of Individual-1,” they say (again referring to Trump as “Individual-1,” as the documents last week did).
3. Cohen was contacted by a Russian national in 2015
One potential clue for the collusion investigation has to do with a contact Cohen received in 2015 from a “Russian national” seeking “synergy” between the campaign and the Russian government. From Mueller’s document: “The defendant also provided information about attempts by other Russian nationals to reach the campaign. For example, in or around November 2015, Cohen received the contact information for, and spoke with, a Russian national who claimed to be a “trusted person” in the Russian Federation who could offer the campaign “political synergy” and “synergy on a government level.” The defendant recalled that this person repeatedly proposed a meeting between Individual 1 and the President of Russia. The person told Cohen that such a meeting could have a “phenomenal” impact “not only in political but in a business dimension as well,” referring to the Moscow Project, because there is “no bigger warranty in any project than consent of [the President of Russia].” Cohen, however, did not follow up on this invitation.
4. Mueller appears to be keying on Russia ties in Trump’s business
The writing was on the wall for this when Mueller reached that plea deal with Cohen for lying about such matters last week; it was the best explanation for Cohen’s continued pursuit of Trump Tower Moscow being entered into the public record.
5. Manafort’s alleged lies were also Russia-focused — and deal with a big unknown
As soon as we found out last week that Manafort had allegedly lied to Mueller’s team, in violation of his cooperation deal, the question was about what. What was worth lying about for a man whose cooperation was required for the leniency he apparently sought?
[From The Washington Post]
As I said, it feels like a big move, and a move in the right direction, but is this really the beginning of the end? Individual 1 is still out here, tweeting absolute bullsh-t:
Totally clears the President. Thank you!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 7, 2018
AFTER TWO YEARS AND MILLIONS OF PAGES OF DOCUMENTS (and a cost of over $30,000,000), NO COLLUSION!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) December 8, 2018
Those tweets mean nothing, but it’s worth noting that this isn’t really a denial based on facts in the documents – Trump doesn’t read, and he wouldn’t have read anything involving Cohen or Manafort. He’s just issuing blind denials, because he is that demented.
New York Magazine had a good round-up of what all of the Cohen and Manafort stuff means. I’m still tapping my watch and waiting for Individual 1 Junior to be arrested though. I want it to happen before Christmas, please.

No surprise, several royal stories “broke” in the British tabloids late Friday and into Saturday. Weirdly, this weekend’s stories don’t seem like “Duchess Meghan is SUCH a diva” stories. It’s almost like the tabloids tried that for two weeks in a row to see if it would stick, so now they’re going in a slightly different direction. Obviously, I thought that some of the “leaks” about the Cambridges and Sussexes came from William, Kate, Carole Middleton and their associates. But I don’t know who is leaking this stuff, because it makes Will and Kate look lazy, petty and work-shy. Perhaps this is something from Meghan and Harry?
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge failed to attend a board meeting of the Royal Foundation this week amid rumours of a royal rift with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. William and Kate lead the foundation together with Harry and Meghan but while the Duke and Duchess of Sussex both attended the meeting, as well as a staff Christmas party afterwards, the other two members of the so-called Fab Four didn’t show up.
Kensington Palace insists that the Cambridges were not expected, but a source admitted that it ‘was a shame’ they didn’t attend the meeting or the subsequent party. Rumours of a rift between the Cambridges and the Sussexes have spread like wildfire following the announcement that Harry, 34, and Meghan, 37, are set to move away from Kensington Palace to Frogmore Cottage. And the latest chapter of the rumoured rivalry saw Harry and Meghan attend the board meeting alone.
A source revealed: ‘Not only were Harry and Meghan there, but they went to the staff Christmas party afterwards. It was a very jolly affair. It’s a shame that William and Catherine did not turn up.’
Kensington Palace insists that the Cambridges had not been expected. ‘Their Royal Highnesses attend these meetings in turn,’ a spokesman says. ‘This session was focused on programmes led by the Duke of Sussex.’
[From The Daily Mail]
See what I mean? Who looks bad here? And who benefits? Is Harry above calling up a reporter (or directing a staffer at the foundation to call up a reporter) to drop this piece of information? Anyway, I believe that Will and Kate probably weren’t scheduled for the meeting. But their absence adds to the overall intrigue, and Will and Kate would have known that too. Harry and Meghan are hard at work at foundation meetings, and they’re so down-to-earth that they have jolly Christmas parties with staffers. Meanwhile Will and Kate are – once again – too lazy to show up.

Michelle Williams got a lot of attention this year when she announced her engagement to Chad Johnson, a white guy who works as a life coach. The engagement got the full People Magazine treatment, almost like they were inviting us to have an opinion on their lives. Then they put themselves out there even more, when they decided to put their love on display in an OWN reality show called Chad Loves Michelle. Shenanigans ensued, when cameras rolled on Chad using Michelle’s mental health struggles against her in arguments, and when he seemed particularly insensitive during any kind of conversation about race. So… long story short, Chad and Michelle are no longer engaged.
Michelle Williams has revealed that her engagement to pastor Chad Johnson is off. The 38-year-old Destiny’s Child singer made the announcement in a since-deleted Instagram Story post on Friday morning — the same day she dropped her latest single, “Fearless.”
“I still remain fearless,” she wrote in simple white text on a black background. “I guess I still remain single! Things didn’t work out. The healing that needs to take place is a must! I don’t wanna destroy another relationship. Blessings to him, his family and ministry. #FEARLESS”
Reps for Williams didn’t immediately return PEOPLE’s request for comment. Williams and Johnson, 40, announced their engagement exclusively to PEOPLE in April. The couple met in March 2017 at an Arizona spiritual retreat run by Johnson, a life coach who has also worked as a chaplain for pro sports teams including the Pittsburgh Steelers and L.A. Dodgers.
[From People]
I’m not going to pretend to stan to Michelle, but I’ve always liked her and wished her well, and I’m actually pretty happy that she and Chad ended things before they were legally tied to each other. I feel like Michelle has had a difficult couple years, and maybe she convinced herself that Chad was her “happy ending,” the light at the end of the tunnel. But it didn’t work out, and so be it. I hope she takes some time to mourn the relationship and then finds someone really nice, someone who won’t throw off red flags in the middle of a reality show.

Jana Kramer just gave birth to her son Jace Joseph, her second child with husband Mike Caussin last week. She is already being body shamed by people, without even having time to get used to being a mother of two. One picture got Jana pretty upset and sharing her thoughts.
It all started when Jana posted a picture that had her in tight-fitting clothing. She hasn’t even had time to try and lose the weight. Jana Kramer couldn’t let people give her a hard time, though. The singer actually spoke out about what was being said about her.
“A few things because honestly I’m so frustrated and I need to vent this. I wanted to post this photo (showing my stomach) because I wanted to show my journey back to healthy and my goodness I’m so glad I didn’t which is why this photo is now cropped. It’s amazing the comments and how rude some people be.”
It turns out that Jana looked pretty small in that post. Everyone assumed that she had a trainer or a chef and that was how she lost the weight. That wasn’t the case at all, though. It turns out that Jana had on a belly bandit wrapped tightly in the photo. She also said her pants were high-waisted. That didn’t keep people from body shaming her, though. Jana even had to post a photo of herself to prove she isn’t tiny just yet.

She was really upset that people were giving her a hard time. Jana Kramer made the choice to actually show the fact that her belly isn’t tiny. Yes, she will probably lose that weight, but so far she hasn’t been able to do it. So far, it has only been a week. It is going to take some time, but there is nothing wrong with trying to cover up that baby bump that is still there.
Instead of getting shamed for being fat, she was being shamed for already losing weight. The crazy thing is Jana Kramer didn’t even lose it yet. For now, she will be just enjoying her baby and learning how to be a mommy to two little ones who need her all the time. The actress’ recent post may get people to leave her alone, but you never know.
Are you shocked to hear that Jana Kramer is already getting body shamed? Let us know in the comments section below.
