Wet Hot American Summer is a modern comedy classic, and by the rules of contemporary cinema, since it’s fourteen years old, it’s old enough for nostalgia. And you know what nostalgia means—it’s time for a sequel/remake/reboot! Or rather, it’s time for a prequel TV show premiering on Netflix on Ju…      

Even though WENN identifies this lady ^^ as someone else, I feel pretty strongly that this is a photo of Roberto Cavalli, 74, and his 29-year-old girlfriend Sandra Nilsson. Okay… let’s give Cavalli some credit. She’s not 19 years old, she’s 29. She knows what she’s doing. And what she’s doing is banging a 70-something year old man so he’ll buy her luxury property. Would you do the same? Would I? If I’m being really honest, I would do it for a night if there was serious jewelry involved. Like, the Hope Diamond. Yes, I would bang Roberto Cavalli one time for the Hope Diamond. But would I be his “girlfriend” for a £2.22 million island in Sweden? Eh.

Roberto Cavalli, 74, has allegedly bought his 29-year-old Swedish playmate girlfriend a private island in her home country. Sandra Nilsson is the new owner of the £2.22million Stora Rullingen off the coast of Strängnäs, some 50miles east of Stockholm. The island comes complete with four-bedroom villa, hunting lodge, pool and the remains of a Viking hill fort as well as its own small golf course.

The former Playmate of the Month – who is 45 years Cavalli’s junior – has been gifted the 1.25mile long island by her elderly boyfriend, Swedish media reports. The couple allegedly visited the island together in December, after being flown in on a private helicopter, and the sale was confirmed as completed last month, Aftonbladet reports. It appears that Cavalli and Ms Nilsson made quite the deal, as the island was originally put on the market for £5.7million(75million SEK). The 81.5 acre island comes with a private four-bedroom villa with both a jacuzzi and a swimming pool built into the mountain.

The grass lawn outside is big enough to allow propeller planes and helicopters to land, as well as various riding games, football, tennis and golf practice with six tee-off areas. A smaller hunting lodge with space for ten people has been advertised as the ‘perfect space for everything from wine tastings to important meetings’. It also has a 1.5km long jogging track, a private harbour, it’s own ferry with space for ten people, a 300square metre stable with three horse boxes and staff lodgings.

Ms Nilsson, sometimes mistakenly referred to as Lina Nilson in international media, has been seen by Cavalli’s side since he separated from his wife in 2010. Despite success as a glamour model in the late noughties, Ms Nilsson’s modelling career appears to have waned, and it is likely that the island was bought for her by her elderly fashion mogul boyfriend. Her parents told local Swedish media that she splits her time between New York and Italy where she ‘works for Roberto Cavalli’.

‘She always dreamed of her own island,’ her father Jan-Ove Nilsson told Katrineholms Kuriren. ‘She wants something in Sweden to fall back on’.

Obvious statement is obvious: “She wants something in Sweden to fall back on.” And honestly, this is kind of better than marrying the old guy and manipulating her way into his will. Give her the gift of a private island now, keep her as a girlfriend and not a wife and have fun. I hope it was worth it. Do you think it was? Being his “girlfriend” for some-odd four or five years and then getting a $4-5 million private island out of the deal?

These are photos of Matt Damon at a press conference in China for his film The Great Wall, which is filming now. He was there with co-stars Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) Andy Lau, and Jing Tian, along with director Zhang Yimou. The film isn’t out until November, 2016 so it’s curious to me that they’re promoting it now. The Daily Mail notes that this is “one of the highest-budget films ever in China as well as the biggest America-China co-production to date.” Given the emphasis on global box office as well as the need to appeal to Chinese audiences and Chinese censors in particular, this film makes sense. It’s a calculated gamble on a huge market that only a few American-made films are able to tap into.

In Great Wall, Damon plays a “mercenary in search of treasure” in 15th century China during the construction of The Wall. It’s being billed as a “scifi action” film, which could be interesting. They’ve been filming on “28 different sets, including on a fake Great Wall which was specially erected and is used as a weapon against otherworldly creatures in the movie.” Incidentally, while Damon is filming in China his recently separated neighbor and best friend, Ben Affleck, has been staying in his mansion, according to Page Six.

The real news, in my superficial view, is that Matt Damon is sporting a ponytail now. I’m assuming this is a weave or wig for the role, although it’s a good one, since he had short hair just a couple of months ago. Some people like it and think it’s hot. It’s very Chris Hemsworth, (who is friends with Damon btw) and although I personally hate it, some of you (like Kaiser) will find it sexy. I like my guys clean cut, and I’m particularly fond of a bald Damon circa Elysium.

Guys with long hair aren’t my bag. So Damon isn’t doing it for me here unfortunately. I still would though, no question. Lainey has more photos of Matt with long hair if you need more time to make a decision.

Keeping things civil for the kids!

Prior to announcing their plans for divorce, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner headed out of Hollywood. The A-listers took their three children – daughters Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and 3-year-old son Samuel – to their property in the Bahamas, PEOPLE reports.

According to sources, the pair waited for the kids’ school to be out for summer before revealing their impending divorce.

“They plan on co-parenting and doing absolutely everything in the best interest of the kids,” says an insider, adding that the their kids are “their top priority.”

As for the day they announced the split – which was one day after their 10th wedding anniversary – Ben and Jen made sure they were all together.

“They were together as a family that day,” a source says. “The family felt it was important to be together and they were together. The family is united and, no matter what, will protect the kids. This isn’t easy for anyone and it’s devastating to Ben too. He loves his family and will always put them first.”

In the weeks before their split, the Gone Girl actor, 42, and the Dallas Buyers Club actress, 43, were spotted with their kids near their L.A. home, including a trip to the farmers’ market on June 14; a shopping trip at the Brentwood Country Mart on June 10; another stop at the farmers’ market on June 7; and an ice cream date with their daughters on May 28.

Once they are back from the Bahamas, the pair will continue to live together in the family’s Pacific Palisades home, as they plan to share custody.

Multiple outlets are reporting that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are currently in the Bahamas with their children. They went as soon as the kids were out of school, making sure to be undercover when they made the announcement that they’re divorcing.

The other day, I read something (I think it was on Pajiba?) where someone said that Vince Vaughn’s turn on True Detective was his last shot at some kind of legitimate Hollywood career, and that if he messed it up, he wouldn’t be working much. To that I say… never underestimate Hollywood’s ability to find consistent work for middle-aged white men. If Vince screws up his “comeback” on TD, he will still work, it will just be in the family-comedy ghetto along with Adam Sandler and Paul Blart: Mall Cop. But I bring this up because I keep hearing stories about Vince Vaughn being an unpleasant person in real life. There was a story about him feuding with Taylor Kitsch (Kitsch later denied it, but Vince never denied it). There are stories about him being rude to just about everyone. And now Star Magazine claims he was a total jackass to a disabled fan.

True detective star Vince Vaughn was a true jerk to a 13-year-old disabled fan who dared approach him at a Chicago Blackhawks playoff game.

“Vince could see that the boy needed a walker and that it was a struggle just to get through the stands,” a witness tells Star.

“But when he asked for a photo, Vince said ‘Not now, I’m concentrating on warm-ups.’ The game hadn’t even started!” dishes the insider.

The boy, who suffers from Duchenne muscular dystrophy, left dejected, while the Blackhawks went on to win the Stanley Cup.

“Vince is not the kind of fan Chicago needs,” adds the source. “That poor kid deserved better!”

If only that child had been armed to the teeth, eh? My take: you hear the same kinds of stories time and time again, you start to believe there’s something there. Even though this story seems too perfect, like it had to have everything – a disabled fan, hockey, a walker and a rude-ass celebrity – I still believe that Vince is probably a rude-as-hell douchebag and yes, he’s probably turned down photos with disabled kids before. And the game hadn’t even started!!! That’s what kills me. “Nah, man, I need to watch my team warm-up!”

Look who’s 2!

Cougar Town star Busy Philipps celebrated her daughter Cricket‘s second birthday Thursday (July 2) with a series of Instagram images and messages.

“Happy 2nd birthday to our little firecracker!!!!,” Philipps wrote. “I’m glad she proved my husband and I to be terrible liars when we told everyone for years that we were “one and done”. It seems totally insane that we ever thought that because we simply cannot imagine life without this little ball of light and laughter, our little Cricket.”

In another shot, the Dawson’s Creek alum, 36, posted a photo of Cricket’s birthday cake.

“I’m making Cricket a big cake next weekend for her party but Birdie made her this pink swirl delight for today that she frosted all by herself! I’m so proud of both my big girls!,” she captioned the cute pic.

The proud mom went on to share a throwback photo of a newborn Cricket. “#tbt exactly 2 years ago,” she wrote.

Philipps and her husband, screenwriter Marc Silverstein, are also parents to nearly 7-year-old daughter Birdie.

This week’s National Enquirer has a pretty funny story that seems ripped from the comment section here at CB. The gist is that George Clooney’s Grand Amal Experiment has gone sideways, and he wasn’t expecting the whole “America’s Last Bachelor Finally Marries His Equal” to blow up in his face quite so spectacularly. Which is what we’ve been saying all along? Especially in the wake of the epic box office failure of Tomorrowland, Team Clooney is almost definitely trying to figure out where their strategy went wrong. Some highlights from the Enquirer’s story:

His latest movie ‘Tomorrowland’ is a disaster, his political dreams are fading and now George Clooney is blaming wife Amal!

“George has had enough,” dished a source. “The Amal Experiment has backfired badly and he’s looking for a way out. George thought that Amal would help him fulfuill his dream of running for office and, maybe one day, becoming president.”

Instead, Amal’s morphed into a red carpet darling, and George feels her connections have thrown cold water on his political ambitions.

“It’s a nightmare for George,” said one source. “Suddenly, he isn’t getting calls from DC movers and shakers and believes Amal’s to blame. Instead of being like Bill and Hillary Clinton, they’ve become like Kim and Kanye!”

Even worse, George feels that Amal’s also ruined his Hollywood A-list status.

“He thinks she’s damaged his box office appeal… he actually believes she’s made him a laughingstock among his peers!”

Some Hollywood insiders have quipped the couple should do a reality show, “Keeping Up with the Alamuddins.”

Desperate to regain his star status, George will take his wife back to England when renovations at their new home are completed. “George is going to have a house-warming party, and carry Amal over the threshold. Then he’s going to leave Amal on her own in that big old mansion, while he hightails it back to America to rebuild his image!”

My take: while it does feel like the Enquirer is rather gleefully (and hilariously) taking down the Alamooney marriage, they’re not entirely wrong. I think George really believed this whole marriage thing was going to play out differently. He believed that everyone would buy the image of Amal that his press people forced on media outlets like People Magazine. He believed that Amal was going to be seen as this shining beacon of political legitimacy. Instead, many people are like, “Wow, she’s really spending a lot of money on clothes” and “she sure loves to pose for the paparazzi.” After getting out of his comfort his zone of wrestlers, waitresses and Vegas party girls, George wasn’t expecting his lawyer wife to be just the same kind of thirsty, wannabe fashionista as his previous girlfriends.

Now, all that being said… George could easily rework the strategy by doing one simple thing: knocking up Amal. There’s nothing better for an image makeover than a baby.
