Ahead of America’s Independence Day holiday tomorrow, many people are going to be tapping out early today or just phoning it in completely. I plan to spend my Independence Day as the Founding Fathers intended, watching Channing Tatum’s taut butt in a thong as he dances to Ginuwine’s “Pony” (I think Ben Franklin would be proud). But for those of you wanting some hot man action for the holiday weekend, behold! Two of our favorite dudes have new full-length trailers out right now.

First up – Tom Hardy in Legend. We discussed the teaser trailer a while back, but the full-length trailer was released several days ago, and I thought you would enjoy. Beware… there’s a lot of violence in this trailer, but the bigger issue is that it feels like they’re giving away a lot of the movie. Still… I’ll see this. Imagine if Tom Hardy really had a twin. Sweet lord… and he looks so beautiful here. Ridiculously beautiful.

Next up: my former #1 Crush Michael Fassbender in his Oscar-baity turn in Steve Jobs. I kind of wonder why they didn’t give this some kind of clever name, like iJobs or something (that’s a freebie, Universal Pictures!). The prestige talent on this film is considerable. Oscar-nominee Fassbender, Oscar winner Kate Winslet costarring, Oscar winner Aaron Sorkin screenwriting, Oscar winner Danny Boyle directing. Oscar Oscar Oscar. But after I watched this, I came away thinking… God, Steve Jobs was such a dick. I never read Walter Isaacson’s authorized biography (which is the source material for this), but I remember hearing “Oh yeah, Steve Jobs was a nightmare as a boss.” A lot of people say, “You should make allowances for that kind of genius.” I’m not sure I’m there though, mostly because I never belonged to The Cult of Apple. At least they’re not really sugar-coating it in the film.

Sigh… if this is Fassy’s next chance for an Oscar, I won’t complain. But I just hope Fassy plays ball this time around and isn’t so pissy about the money being spent for his Oscar campaign.

Taraji P. Henson has one of the best “Don’t You Even Think of Messing With Me” faces of all time, right?

One of the things that pisses me off about the success of Empire is that the media has treated the success like an oddity, a blip, a new and exotic bird that should be examined clinically rather than as a good primetime soap opera that appeals to a wide demographic. If Empire starred a primarily white cast, well… first of all, it wouldn’t be as big of a hit, but even if an all-white cast had even a fraction of Empire’s success, the cast members (and mostly the breakout star playing Cookie) would be covering every magazine and trade paper.

I feel for Taraji P. Henson especially – the success she’s had playing Cookie is the culmination of more than 15 years of hard work in Hollywood, and she’s still being shafted for media-attention because she’s seen as “riding the wave” of African-American women on TV. My point? Taraji needs to be getting more for what she brings to the table, whether it’s a pay raise or more media focus or whatever. But she’s not getting any of that. In Touch Weekly reports that Taraji asked for a significant pay raise for Empire’s second season and… she didn’t get it.

Payday just got less exciting for Empire star Taraji P. Henson. An insider exclusively tells In Touch that Taraji is angry that she didn’t get the raise she was expecting for season two of the hit Fox show.

“When she found out what her co-stars got, she threw a fit,” an insider exclusively reveals to In Touch. “She feels she should be compensated much more as the star of the show.”

The actress attempted to meet with producers to renegotiate, but they “flat-out said no,” the insider explains to In Touch. “She was livid.”

I believe it. I believe they probably did give her a raise but it wasn’t nearly as much as she wanted or, let’s face it, as much as she deserved. Hollywood has a terrible record with compensating women the same way men are compensating, unless you’re Charlize Theron (and even then, the producers’ first instinct was to pay Charlize significantly less than Chris Hemsworth). So even though Taraji is the breakout star of Empire, she’s still fighting for what’s rightfully hers.

Mom-of-three Kourtney Kardashian was spotted with son Mason, 5, in Calabasas, Calif. on Wednesday (July 1).

While filming their family reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the mother-son duo hit a local bowling alley.

The pair were joined by Kourtney’s sisters and costars Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner.

An expectant Kim rocked a Guns N’ Roses tee paired with black skinnies and heeled ankle boots.

Kourtney and her longtime love, fellow reality star Scott Disick, are also parents to daughter Penelope, nearly 3, and son Reign, 6 months.

Congratulations to Tiffani Thiessen and Brady Smith.

The Saved by the Bell alum, 41, and her husband welcomed their second child – son Holt Fisher Smith – on Wednesday (July 1), she announced via Instagram Thursday.

The proud mama captioned an image of both her children — including 5-year-old daughter Harper Renn.

“Yesterday Harper got a little brother! We are so excited to introduce Holt Fisher Smith. Our perfect sweet little man,” she wrote.

Earlier this month, the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum celebrated a co-ed baby shower.

Thiessen and Brady – who were wed in July 2015 – announced their pregnancy news in January.
