Prince Harry has been all over the place in the past week. He’s played polo, shown up for Trooping the Colour and made an appearance at Royal Ascot. Those were all of his public activities – but what is he doing in private? Or should I say, WHO is he doing in private? Weeks ago, there was a rumor – and photos to prove it – that Harry was getting cozy and flirty with Doctor Who star Jenna Coleman (she plays the Doctor’s companion). Jenna previously had a serious relationship with Richard Madden (Robb Stark on Game of Thrones), which only ended recently too. It looks more and more like Jenna is rebounding with Harry. And Harry is into it.
Cressida who? Prince Harry has been busy spending his time with Doctor Who star Jenna Coleman, multiple sources tell Us Weekly. The royal, 30, and the stunning English star, 29, were spotted getting cozy at a pal’s birthday celebration earlier this month after flirting at the May 30 Audi Polo Challenge at Coworth Park in Ascot.
“They were really close,” an eyewitness tells Us of the potential new couple, who met up at the bash at Jax’s bar in Chelsea on June 4. “Harry was happy she could make it,” the source adds. “They were laughing and seemed into each other.”
Despite seemingly first hitting it off at the polo match, another source tells Us that Coleman and Prince William’s younger brother have actually known each other for awhile — but, don’t expect the two to commit anytime soon.
“They’ll never be anything serious because of their schedules,” the second source explains. “He’s off to South Africa and she’s going to be filming Doctor Who in the States. But, for now, they’re just enjoying each other’s company.”
[From Us Weekly]
I feel like Harry does this a lot – he’s very much into the “I’m about to go away for a while, so let’s just have a proper fling” thing. It’s not a one-night stand (although I’m sure he does those too), but like an intense, sex-and-flirtation-filled three week fling. And honestly, I’m sure a lot of ladies like that. Very few ladies (of a certain kind of background) want to actually settle down with Harry (or any member of the royal family), but they’ll enjoy a nice fling with him.

When in Rome!
Academy Award-winning actress Reese Witherspoon and her 15-year-old daughter Ava met fashion icon Valentino while vacationing in Italy.
“What an honor to see Mr. Valentino at dinner last night in Rome @maisonvalentino #legend,” Reese Instagrammed the image Thursday.
In addition to more vacation pics from Reese, Ava also Instagrammed a few photos from their adventures.
“Tons of pictures,” the teen captioned a scenic shot.
On Thursday, we spotted the mother-daughter sight seeing in Rome with Reese’s mother Betty.
One of my favorite churches #StIgnatius. Beautiful sculpture and the ceiling has the most intricate paintings. #Breathtaking! #VacationAdventures #Roma

I’ve decided to hang on to HBO for a while longer just to see if Season 2 of True Detective is worth it. I’m already having mixed feelings about my decision. Vince Vaughn makes me queasy and I really don’t feel much of anything for Taylor Kitsch these days. I used to think he was cute, but he flamed out so hard a few years ago and… I don’t know. I just stopped feeling it. But Kitsch is one of the leads of TD Season 2, and he has a new profile with Elle Magazine to promote it. Elle sent a Friday Night Lights superfan/journalist to interview Taylor and the result was… not the best piece. I basically just learned that the superfan really thinks Taylor Kitsch is hot. Here are some highlights:
Growing up in British Columbia in a trailer park: “White trash. Growing up, I really was. Proud of it.”
His early years as a model in NYC: “It’s not like I was this mainstream f–kin’ runway model. I wasn’t working. I lived in an apartment in Spanish Harlem with no electricity, and then I lost that, so I’d just catch the blue train. It skips a lot of stops at night, and then it stays up at 181st Street, I think. So I’d sleep there. And the security guy would come on and be like, ‘Get out.’ And I’d get out.”
His thoughts on John Carter bombing at the box office: “John Carter was a really great experience,” he tells me—which, of course, is another way of saying, “No regrets,” Riggins’s code and mantra, and, incidentally, Kitsch’s sign-off on personal e-mails.
Filming True Detective: “I didn’t know True was going to be near as emotional. This season—f–k. I could feel Paul seeping into me. I’d be doing something or acting a certain way and think, Oh, this isn’t me.”
He’s currently single: “You sacrifice so f–kin’ much [as an actor]. How do you build a relationship with a gal and then tell her, ‘Hey, I gotta do press all over the world. I expect you to have the same feelings you have now in eight weeks.’ And that’s not me playing the violin. It’s my choice. But it better be worth sacrificing for.”
[From Elle]
Is the problem the way the piece was written – sycophantic and fan-girly – or is the problem that Taylor really isn’t that interesting in real life? I think his aim is to be sort of silent and gritty and all about the work, which might make for a good actor (does it though?) but makes for a terrible interview.
By the way, I spent a moment with VF’s profile of Nic Pizzolatto (the creator/writer behind TD) and that guy sounds like a total douche. You can read that piece here.

Miley Cyrus revealed a month ago that she had relationships with both men and women over the years. She further confirmed a few days ago that she considered herself “gender fluid.” I wondered if Miley was paving the way to introduce a new significant other. I also noticed some photos of a beautiful, model-like woman on Miley’s Instagram page but didn’t think much of it. Miley posts selfies with lots of people. She also (at least in the case of Liam Hemsworth and Patrick Schwarzenegger) doesn’t publicize her relationships on Instagram. Until now, that is.
The gorgeous girl appearing in several recent selfies with Miley is model Stella Maxwell. She’s a 24-year-old New Zealander who walks the runway for Victoria’s Secret:
Friends of Miley Cyrus say she’s dating Victoria’s Secret Angel Stella Maxwell, Confidenti@l has learned.
Pals refer to the “Wrecking Ball” singer and the gorgeous New Zealander as “a couple” and a spy who has spent time with the pair says they have the easy affection of people who have been dating for months.
“They hold hands and hug and are very comfortable together. They’re definitely together,” said our source.
The twosome seem to have been joined at the hip of late. Around the time of her March breakup with Patrick Schwarzenegger, Miley and her gal pal hit the South by Southwest festival in Austin and then stopped off in Vegas together.
[From NY Daily News]
Well, good for Miley! I don’t know anything about Stella, but she and Miley look cute together in their joint selfies. My first thought was that Leonardo DiCaprio will be so jealous because he thinks of himself as the Victoria’s Secret magnet. Poor, poor Leo. In all seriousness, Miley looked glowing and so happy at the amfAR event in New York, and this could be a huge reason why.

Many of the Vogue-watchers predicted this, that Cara Delevigne would get her first solo American Vogue cover for the July issue. It seems like a boring, predictable choice, although how in the world is Cara somehow “more worthy” of a Vogue cover than someone like Taraji P. Henson? Cara is transitioning from modeling to acting, and she’s already promoting the hell out of Paper Towns, the teen romance-drama in which Cara plays the most beautiful girl in the world or whatever.
The Patrick Demarchelier editorial is kind of blah – you can see Vogue’s slideshow here. That blah-ness is not on Demarchelier either, I just don’t think Cara has much of an “it factor” in most editorials. She looks like they just picked up some unkempt teen off the street and put her in some gowns. As for the profile… it’s actually a pretty good read. Cara is self-absorbed but she’s also wild and she’ll tell you anything. She talks about her sexuality, feeling suicidal, how much she hates modeling and growing up a rich girl. You can read the full piece here. Some highlights:
Being on the straight & narrow for Suicide Squad: “I’m not allowed to drink. I’m not allowed good food. After turning 20 and eating McDonald’s all the time and drinking too much, it started to show on my stomach and on my face. But I’m playing a homicidal witch, so I need to look ripped.”
Her body is not a temple: “I say my body is a roller coaster. Enjoy the ride. But can you believe that? That I have to exercise restraint after I’ve succeeded in a business where for years I had no restraint, where the whole point was excess?”
The bubble of the fashion industry: “I’m not sure I understand what fashion is anymore. I admit I was terrified to leave. I mean, the bubble gives you a kind of dysfunctional family. When you’re in it, you get it. And the second you’re out of it, you’re like, What the hell just happened?”
Her background: “I grew up in the upper class, for sure. My family was kind of about that whole parties–and–horse racing thing. I can understand it’s fun for some. I never enjoyed it.”
Her partying lifestyle: “I had to be doing things with people at all times. The life of the party is an easy part for me to play. It rots your insides, though. Honestly, I don’t think I did anything different from other people my age. But I definitely have that addict gene. For me it comes out in an addiction to work. I’d probably have done more drugs back then if I hadn’t been working like mad.”
Her bisexuality, falling in love with St. Vincent: “I think that being in love with my girlfriend is a big part of why I’m feeling so happy with who I am these days. And for those words to come out of my mouth is actually a miracle. It took me a long time to accept the idea, until I first fell in love with a girl at 20 and recognized that I had to accept it. But I have erotic dreams only about men.”
Whether dating women is just a phase: “Women are what completely inspire me, and they have also been my downfall. I have only been hurt by women, my mother first of all. The thing is if I ever found a guy I could fall in love with, I’d want to marry him and have his children. And that scares me to death because I think I’m a whole bunch of crazy, and I always worry that a guy will walk away once he really, truly knows me.”
[From Vogue]
She talks a lot about the “morass” she fell into when she was in her mid-teens. She self-harmed, she was depressed and she was put on psychotropic drugs. She also says she still goes through phases where she parties too hard and bottoms out and has to go away to get her head together. I come away from this profile thinking both “oh, poor little rich girl” AND like she needs some better doctors. Like, I think she has some undiagnosed condition or anxiety disorder that would be easy enough to manage if she wasn’t constantly self-medicating with drugs and alcohol.
