Academy Award-winner Ben Affleck stepped out with his three children – daughters Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and 3-year-old son Samuel – in Pacific Palisades, Calif. on Sunday (May 24).
The Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star, 42, took his kids to the farmers’ market and toy store during their afternoon outing.
Last week Ben’s wife, Danny Collins star Jennifer Garner, dished on raising their kids in the spotlight.
“The hardest part is other kids talking to my children when we aren’t around. Like, ‘It’s so cool your dad’s being Batman’ and trying to control how much that inflates the idea that one person is more important than another,” Jennifer told Yahoo! Parenting.
Jennifer added: “[Ben and I] really work to manage that idea — that just because people react a certain way to us, it doesn’t mean we’re more important than anyone else. And [the kids] are pretty quick to cut us back down to size.”

Here are some photos of Khloe Kardashian in Las Vegas on Friday night. She was “hosting” a Memorial Day party at 1Oak at the Mirage. I’m sure she easily got low to mid six figures for the hosting gig. I actually think Khloe looks a bit better in these photos than she did in some of her recent public appearances in the past few weeks. Remember this? How about this? In these photos, at least she’s not giving me such a “sad doll” vibe. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still convinced that the Pinocchio Butt is an utter disaster (and growing in size by the minute), but her face doesn’t look so filler-jacked.
Interestingly enough, Khloe has a new dating rumor and I’m sort of into it. I’m more into this rumored hookup/potential hookup than Khloe’s on-again/off-again nonsense with both French Montana and Lamar Odom, I’ll say that. Apparently, Khloe went out to dinner with former LA Laker Rick Fox. Huh.
Let the new couple speculation begin! Khloé Kardashian and former Lakers player Rick Fox were spotted arriving separately for a late dinner date together at Casa Vega in Sherman Oaks, Calif., last night around 11:45 p.m. (gotta love that fourth meal), and were reportedly dining at the popular Mexican restaurant until 1:30 a.m.
Their outing instantly sparks questions as to whether or not there’s a romantic relationship brewing between the two stars, but when asked if the twosome are dating by a paparazzo, Fox responded, “Khloé’s a good friend.”
[From E! News]
Rick Fox is only 45, just FYI. I thought we was well into his 50s, but that might be because he was married to Vanessa Williams for many years, and I always thought they were the same age – they weren’t. He’s seven years younger than Vanessa. Post-Vanessa, Fox dated Sharon Stone (??), Eliza Dushku and possibly AnnaLynne McCord. I don’t know… it doesn’t seem like he really has a type? So Khloe could conceivably get in there. And it might be good for her to be with an older man (she’s 30).

Meet Charlie Arquette!
Just Before I Go star David Arquette stepped out with wife Christina McLarty and their 12-month-old son in Malibu, Calif. on Sunday (May 24). This marks our first glimpse of the beautiful baby boy.
The newlyweds – who tied the knot last month – welcomed their first child in April 2014.
The Scream actor, 43, is also dad to 10-year-old daughter Coco with ex-wife Courteney Cox.
“Since Charlie has come into my life, I love Coco more than ever,” Arquette recently said. “I am older and more mature and can return to raising a baby more aware of the wonderful daily experiences. Watching Charlie crawl is a milestone in my life.”

Sunday was the final day of the Cannes Film Festival. I’m including some assorted photos from the final ceremony at the end of the post. I was reading through some last-day coverage, final thoughts and reviews of this year’s festival and I have to say… it sounds like this year’s Cannes was super-depressing. Like, the films were really, really sad. It must have been a tough year to be a judge. Anyway, here are some of the big winners (via THR):
The Palme d’Or. It was awarded to Dheepan, which is the biggest prize at Cannes. The film is about “a former soldier, a young woman and a little girl who pose as a family in order to escape the civil war in Sri Lanka.”
The runner-up (grand-prize) award went to Son of Saul. It’s a Holocaust movie about a man trying to bury his son in a concentration camp.
Best actress: a tie between Rooney Mara for Carol and Emmanuelle Bercot for Mon Roi. Many thought Cate Blanchett would win for Carol, since it’s more her movie than Rooney’s. The other thought was that Cate and Rooney would tie for Best Actress. But that didn’t happen.
Best actor: Vincent Lindon for The Measure of a Man.
Best Director: Hou Hsiao-Hsien for The Assassin.
Jury prize: The Lobster, which is the romantic, dystopian drama starring Colin Farrell & Rachel Weisz.
Best screenplay: Michel Franco for Chronic.
Joel and Ethan Coen, Sienna Miller, Jake Gyllenaal and Guillermo del Toro were on this year’s jury, so they are responsible for all of this. A lot of people have mixed feelings about Deepan in particular – like, they think it was a solid film, but not really a Palme d’Or winner.

A-list couple Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale hit the park with their sons – Kingston, nearly 9, Zuma, 6 1/2, and Apollo, 14 months – in Beverly Hills, Calif. on Sunday (May 24). The boys were seen exploring the playground and playing soccer together.
The famous family-of-five were later seen eating lunch together at the Beverly Glen Market.
On Mother’s Day, Gwen and Gavin took the boys to church before enjoying a fun family day.
The mom-of-three, 45, is currently working on her upcoming solo album, the follow-up to 2006’s The Sweet Escape.
She has been collaborating with Pharrell Williams, with whom she served as a judge on The Voice.

Throughout the ongoing Nick Loeb-Sofia Vergara lawsuit and controversy, Sofia’s position has remained unchanged. Nick and Sofia made some embryos together and to use or destroy those embryos, it would take both Nick and Sofia’s authorization. That’s why Nick is suing Sofia: we wants sole custody of their embryos, which would violate the legal contract they had together. Well, the lawsuit is making its way through all the appropriate legal channels, and it looks like that’s going to keep happening: Loeb was given permission on Friday to move ahead with the lawsuit.
Nick Loeb refuses to back down and now, he and Sofia Vergara are heading back to court. Vergara’s ex was granted permission today to file an amended lawsuit allowing him to seek custody of the two female embryos that were created from his sperm and Vergara’s eggs while they were still in a relationship.
The revised complaint is the first time Loeb is seeking custody, and the paperwork includes a new claim that Vergara, 42, breached an oral agreement to create the embryos and bring them to term via a surrogate. “He does believe they are his daughters,” Loeb’s lawyer Christina Goodrich explained on Tuesday.
Today, Vergara’s lawyer Fred Silberberg told the Santa Monica, Calif., court that Goodrich took too long to file this argument. “[The] plaintiff is using this lawsuit to continue to attack [Vergara] in the press and continue to have his own visibility in the press,” he said.
As Vergara and Loeb signed a consent form that required they both have to agree before anything can be done with the embryos, Silberberg added, “There is no legal issue.”
Silberberg also made a statement in court that is the opposite of Loeb’s stance and sure to have pro-life advocates up in arms: “Embryos are not children.”
When the 39-year-old businessman originally sued Vergara in August 2014, it was to ensure that the actress did not destroy the embryos. Through her lawyers, the Colombian-born actress has explained that she doesn’t want to use or destroy them but simply leave them frozen.
[From Entertainment Tonight]
This isn’t really a victory for Loeb, it just means that the lawsuit can move ahead and it will be decided further down the line by some other judge. It’s difficult to believe that Loeb would ever really “win” the right to nullify a legal, written contract, but I suspect that the victory for Loeb is merely dragging this out, getting more attention, and “punishing” his ex-fiancée in any way he can.
Speaking of punishment, People Magazine confirmed the previous reports that Loeb claims Sofia physically and emotionally abused him. People Mag got their hands on the latest court documents, in which Loeb claims Sofia “physically abused him on four separate occasions: she punched him in the face on two occasions, kicked him, and threw her phone at this head.” He also says Sofia “routinely bullied him… [called him] worthless and a loser.” For the love of God.
