Amy Adams & Family Hit The Mall

Amy Adams & Family Enjoy A Swimming Class

American Hustle star Amy Adams was photographed with husband Darren Le Gallo and their daughter Aviana, 5, in Studio City, Calif.

The trio were first seen after Aviana’s swimming lessons, and later stepped out for some shopping at Westfield Mall.

While at the mall, the Junebug actress, 40, ran into fellow celebrity mom, Anger Management alum Selma Blair, 42, and her 3-year-old son Arthur.

It’s been an amazing month for the Man of Steel actress. After nearly 14 years of dating, Amy and Darren finally wed earlier this month in California.

Reportedly, the longtime lovebirds exchanged vows on May 2 in front of a small number of family and friends.

Congratulations to them!

The Duggars have always given the appearance of a cult, so it does feel like a “no duh” moment when people start saying, “Well, I always knew there was something wrong with that family.” The overwhelming majority of us did know there was something wrong with them, but even the people with the best scandal-radars were hoping that it wouldn’t be something awful like “Josh Duggar molested his sisters.” That’s one of those scandals that will end many, many careers. We haven’t even seen half of the fallout from this. It is my hope that TLC will end the show completely and that TLC will finally look inwards and fire some of the people responsible for all of their sketchy programming AND for covering up the Josh Duggar situation in particular, because most of us believe that TLC knew something years ago.

In any case, there’s no coming back. It was my hope that the Duggars would realize that there’s no coming back and simply pull out of all of their public engagements and stop preaching the Gospel of the Duggar Cult. But once these people got a taste of fame, it’s difficult for them to let it go. So they’re going to Fox News to give their first public interview since the scandal broke.

Nearly nine days after the Duggar family responded to allegations that Josh Duggar has molested five underage girls when he was a teenager, the reality TV family announced they would be sitting down with Fox News reporter Megyn Kelly for an exclusive interview.

“Next week we will sit down with Megyn Kelly on Fox News to share our hearts with you about the pain that we walked through as a family twelve years ago, the tears we all shed and the forgiveness that was given,” Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar wrote in a statement. “We appreciate the outpouring of love and prayers for our family at this time.”

In a separate press release, Fox News announced that the interview would air during The Kelly File on Wednesday, June 3, at 9 p.m. ET. Additional portions will also air during a one-hour special on Friday, June 5, at 9 p.m. ET. This will mark the family’s first interview since news of the molestation allegations broke earlier this month.

[From People]

You might say, “Ha, Fox News, of course.” And if it was Steve Doocy, I would be with you. But Megyn Kelly might actually call them out of their BS. A little bit. I mean, she’s sort of the best of Fox News Blondes, which is sort of like having the least rancid fart in a group of nacho-eaters. Still, there’s a reason the Duggars are giving this exclusive to Fox News and not, say, 20/20 or Dateline or 60 Minutes. The Duggars are trying to reach their constituency. They’re holding out hope that they can get through this. Is that a pipe dream or is there a reason that TLC hasn’t officially canceled the show?

Interestingly, People Magazine also published this story about how people in the Duggars’ hometown feel about the family. The general consensus is that the Duggars are weird. Some people are like, “Eh, they seem nice and quiet,” but many are judging them and blaming their instance on “home-schooling” and closing their children off from the world.

Amal Clooney is made of lies!! George Clooney is made of lies too. Except I really don’t understand why this is a story? In the past month, Amal Clooney has worn John Galliano for Maison Margiela to two major events: the Met Gala and the Japanese premiere of Tomorrowland. One look (the red gown at the Met Gala) landed and one did not. So, Galliano is at 50% approval in my eyes. But the point of all of this is that George Clooney “lied” when he recently said Amal did not have a stylist. But did he really “lie”? Yahoo Style claims that Alexis Roche – Galliano’s long-time partner – is Amal’s stylist. Sort of. Like, Amal hired Roche to arrange for gowns for certain events. Which really is not the same as having a full-time stylist? Here’s Yahoo Style’s piece (minor edits for space):

Amal’s fashion choice [the gold Galliano in Japan] drew criticism from some fans, who felt it was inappropriate for her, particularly as a human rights lawyer, to work with a designer who was found guilty in 2011 of making anti-semitic remarks in France (where making racial slurs is illegal). This is the second time Amal has worn a Galliano design since he took over at Margiela and began an expertly executed comeback, dressing one A-list woman at a time. Of clients like Anna Wintour, Cate Blanchett, and Rihanna, Amal is the only one to have worn his designs twice, the first time on fashion’s most important stage, the Met Gala, earlier this month.

Whatever you think of Galliano (fashion, for one, has more or less forgiven him), Amal’s decision to work with the designer is certainly worth noting. As a Hollywood newcomer and wife of one of the country’ most beloved celebrities, Mrs. Clooney’s sartorial choices are destined for dissection. But, because of the couple’s political leanings—and Amal’s high-profile, politicized job—there’s an extra layer of scrutiny: We expect a higher degree of sensitivity and savvy from Amal, just like we do from Michelle Obama and Kate Middleton (both of whom Amal has been compared to). Fair or not, Amal is well-aware of this landscape–so why, particularly after she faced backlash for her Met Gala appearance, has she remained loyal to Galliano and Margiela? Is it the work of Galliano-cheerleader Anna Wintour, who has recently taken Amal under her wing? Or is Amal, who recently criticized Turkey’s double standard on freedom of expression, trying to send a deeper message?

The answer, it seems, is far simpler. Contrary to what has been widely reported, Amal does work with a stylist—at least sometimes. His name is Alexis Roche, and he just happens to be Galliano’s long-term partner. None of this is a secret per se: Roche has been tweeting the looks that he styled her in (hint: every time she’s worn Margiela), and they are also included in his online portfolio. Roche is well-known within the industry for outfitting glamorous, sophisticated women like Uma Thurman and Marion Cotillard and, more recently, he’s been dipping his toes into younger territory: He recently styled Kendall Jenner in midriff baring Alaia at Cannes. So yes, Amal Clooney and Kendall Jenner do in fact have the same stylist.

Roche’s agent did not return our request for comment (Roche, like Galliano, is notoriously press-shy). But all signs point to a strengthening relationship between Amal and Margiela. When reached for comment, a Margiela press person said: “The Maison wishes not to speak on this subject just yet.” (emphasis ours). Whatever Margiela has up its sleeve (an Amal Vogue cover perhaps?)—and regardless of the motivating factors—it’s a smart association for the house to cultivate: the endorsement of a human rights lawyer (and budding style icon, to boot) is exactly what’s needed for Galliano’s already-in-full-swing comeback.

[From Yahoo]

The suggestion is perhaps that Amal is working closely with Roche full-time to develop a larger fashionista persona, one that involves a close association with a master designer like Galliano (and Galliano IS a master, despite what we think of his hate speech conviction). I just feel like… there’s a lot of parsing happening here and I don’t really think it’s that important in the story of who Amal is and who she’s going to become.

We already knew that she had developed a friendship with Anna Wintour, and when Amal wore Galliano twice in one month, we could infer that Wintour played fashion-matchmaker with Amal and Galliano. And just because Amal gets some help for her big appearances, doesn’t mean that George was lying about how she doesn’t have a stylist – she doesn’t have one on-call and she largely shops for herself, or stops by designers’ studios or they just send her stuff (which is working directly with design houses, as in not having a stylist). It does feel like this is a non-story, or maybe I’m just not feeling particularly conspiratorial about this part of Amal’s life. But sure, maybe it is all a lie-filled conspiracy in which Amal and Roche are planning some huge Galliano-clad Vogue cover. Why not?

Iggy Azalea

Iggy Azalea officially cancelled her upcoming arena tour with a late-breaking Friday announcement. This won’t come as a huge shock to those who have followed Iggy’s adventures here. We didn’t cover the Change.org petition that called for a retraction of Iggy’s Billboard “best rap” award because it felt like overkill. Iggy’s already been attacked by the music industry, so why pile on?

Iggy has displayed plenty of her own questionable attitudes. She believes that she’s an authentic rapper who is “actually good.” Iggy thinks people dislike her for her talent, but that’s not the case. Rap music fans (and artists) don’t appreciate her appropriated accent. Even worse, the girl cannot freestyle rap at all. People don’t understand what she says without autotune.

The last time we spoke of Iggy in an artistic sense (not about her plastic surgery), the pop-rapper had postponed her tour after refusing to do publicity. I felt bad for Iggy because her press-shy attitude followed a body shaming episode. She quit social media, which would affect any contemporary recording artist’s career. But Iggy explained her tour issues away as perfectionism. She told Billboard, “It is bumped back because I am a psychopath. It is my first arena tour, so it’s a big undertaking and I’m doing a lot of the creative direction, which I do for everything.

Billboard now reports that Iggy’s tour is definitely cancelled:

Iggy Azalea has canceled her The Great Escape Tour. An email was sent out to ticketholders on Friday (May 29) letting them know the news.

“The Iggy Azalea Great Escape Tour scheduled for this fall has been cancelled and refunds are available at point of purchase,” the email reportedly reads. “There will be a new tour planned around Iggy’s new record to be released in 2016 and we apologize for any inconvenience.

[From Billboard]

Iggy returned to Twitter with a response.

As u may know, the tour is cancelled. I’m so sad and sorry to let my fans down…we’ll be back out on the road when the next album is done.

— IGGY AZALEA (@IGGYAZALEA) May 29, 2015

Iggy assured her Twitter followers that not all was lost. She’s still appearing at festivals and parades (and Bar Mitzvahs).

The cancellations don’t include Pittsburgh Pride, Ottawa Bluesfest, Québec Summer Festival, or Washington State Fair. Still coming to those!

— IGGY AZALEA (@IGGYAZALEA) May 30, 2015

The Daily Dot believes the internet killed Iggy’s career. I’m not so sure. Iggy believes that critics pile on her because she’s female, which sounds like a blanket excuse. There are many other reasons why Iggy isn’t accepted by the rap community.

Here’s what I’ve been saying all along. Iggy has a bad attitude, and she cannot rap. She appropriates the genre’s culture, and she makes excuses. But the real problem is that all of Iggy’s hit singles are duets. What songs could Iggy possibly perform on this tour? She could do her own solo songs in a club setting, but arena settings demand more.

Multiple sources and multiple outlets are reporting that Bruce Jenner is going to cover a future issue of Vanity Fair. The idea behind it is that Bruce will debut Her, his female identity, on the cover. I had a suspicion that it would be the July cover and that’s why there are all these leaks just ahead of the cover release, which will probably be within the next week. There were some recent tabloids reports a few weeks ago that Bruce had undergone his gender reassignment surgery, but it does seem like an especially fast turnaround from “just had the surgery” to “posing for Vanity Fair.” So maybe the cover is for August. Here’s what People has to say:

Bruce Jenner has posed for his share of magazine covers over the years, from Sports Illustrated to GQ. But now, the former Olympian has landed an upcoming cover of Vanity Fair, Jenner’s first print photo shoot and interview since revealing in April that he is transitioning from male to female, multiple sources tell PEOPLE. Legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz will shoot the cover, an industry source says.

Jenner, 65, who calls his female identity “Her,” will appear as a woman in the Vanity Fair pictorial, to hit stands this summer, the source tells PEOPLE.

During the recent Keeping Up with the Kardashians: About Bruce special, taped earlier this year, Jenner was asked by stepdaughter Khloé Kardashian, 30, “Are you planning on not being Bruce any time soon?”

“That’s quite possible, yeah,” Jenner responded, adding that his transition would occur “probably in the spring.”

Jenner will chronicle his new life in an eight-part docuseries premiering July 26, at 9 p.m. ET on E!

[From People]

So… probably an August cover, although I still think it’s suspicious they’re releasing this heads up right now, just before VF releases their July cover. But the sources make it sound like Annie Leibovitz hasn’t shot Her yet. I’m also assuming that the cover story will include a lengthy interview, and probably confirmation on what Bruce’s new name will be. As for the wisdom of putting Her on the cover… I’m into it. Bruce’s 20/20 special was a ratings bonanza and a fascinating watershed moment in pop culture and trans acceptance. And frankly, we should just be happy that VF isn’t putting another dead celebrity on the cover.

It seems the ugly legal battle between Kelly Rutherford and her ex-husband continues.

Last week, a judge granted the Gossip Girl star, 46, temporary sole legal and physical custody of her two children – son Hermés, 8, and daughter Helena, nearly 6. The judge ordered her kids back to the United States from France, where they had been living with their father Daniel Giersch since 2012.

But on Friday, a Los Angeles judge has halted this court order.

According to the Associated Press, the kids do not need to travel anywhere until Monaco and L.A. judges discuss the case June 11.

The actress has been fighting their parenting plan since 2012, when a California judge ruled that since Giersch’s U.S. visa had been revoked, the children would live with him in Monaco and Rutherford would fly out to visit – even though they technically shared joint custody.

Giersch was court-ordered to reapply for a visa, but he never did.

Congratulations to Maci Bookout and Taylor McKinney.

The Teen Mom OG star, 23, and her boyfriend welcomed their first child together – daughter Jayde – on Friday, May 29, she announced via Twitter.

“Jayde made her grand entrance at 1:59pm today. She weighed 7lbs 15oz at birth,” the reality star Tweeted Friday night. “She is beautiful and as healthy as can be!”

Baby Jayde joins 6-year-old brother Bentley — Bookout’s son with ex-boyfriend Ryan Edwards.

Bookout, now a Chattanooga State college student and full-time social-media-marketing specialist, plans to marry McKinney in the future.

“We definitely want to get married and we’ve talked about it a lot,” she told PEOPLE. “But we aren’t trying to cram it all in at one time. After the baby comes and we get settled in with parenting two children, then that will definitely be our next step.”

nicki-miaj-cosmopolitan

Pop superstar Nicki Minaj, 32, covers the July issue of Cosmopolitan and opens up about her hopes for kids one day, and her best advice to all the women out there.

On where she sees herself in ten years: “Ten years from now, I will have two children, unless my husband wants three. I will be into my fitness a lot more, I will stop yo-yo dieting, and I’ll be a housewife with careers that I can run from home. I want to be able to cook for my children, bake cookies for them, and watch them grow up. I just want to be Mommy. Take them to school, go to the parent-teacher conference, help them with their homework, and put their work on the refrigerator.”

On being open about discussing money: “Women are uncomfortable talking about money. I know it’s taboo to discuss it at work. Technically, you shouldn’t, but you need to know what people around you are making. Otherwise, you’re not going to know what you’re worth. You have to ask questions. ‘What is this person getting?’ Do your research. I’ve always been pretty competitive in terms of my pay.”

On her advice to all the women out there: “I demand that I climax. I think women should demand that. I have a friend who’s never had an orgasm in her life. In her life! That hurts my heart. It’s cuckoo to me. We always have orgasm interventions where we, like, show her how to do stuff. We’ll straddle each other, saying, ‘You gotta get on him like that and do it like this.’ She says she’s a pleaser. I’m a pleaser, but it’s 50/50.”
