Happy Birthday to David Beckham!

The soccer star celebrated his 40th birthday on Saturday (May 2) with wife, singer-turned-fashion designer Victoria Beckham, and their four kids – sons Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 12, and Cruz, 10, and 3½-year-old daughter Harper -in Marrakech, Morocco.

“So excited to be spending this special day with David and the kids in Marrakech!,” Victoria Instagrammed a shot during the birthday celebrations. She went on to announce that her hunky hubby has joined Instagram. “Welcome to Instagram @DavidBeckham! x vb #DB40.”

In a series of shots from David, Victoria and their eldest son, we get a glimpse inside the posh party. As it turns out, A-list pal Eva Longoria joined in on the festivities. Not to mention, it was a Spice Girls reunion with Victoria’s former bandmates Geri Halliwell, Melanie Chisholm and Emma Bunton in attendance.

In a cute shot, the couple’s sweet daughter is attempting to help dad with his party hangover.

On Sunday everyone was complaining about how Avengers: Age of Ultron only made a huge fortune, instead of a mega-huge fortune, at the box office. By that evening, despite Ultron swallowing money like a ravening monster, the thinkpiece machine was in motion, cranking out essays about superhero fat…

Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West out and about in NYC this weekend. They weren’t in Las Vegas for the big Mayweather-Pacquiao fight because – I’m guessing – Kanye and Kim wanted time to prepare for tonight’s Met Gala. Kimye did watch the fight though – they just did it from the comfort of home, with friends.

As for tonight’s Met Gala, Kim and Kanye are definitely going. They were some of the first confirmed guests. Anna Wintour has a great deal of affection for Kanye, and Anna has even warmed to Kim in the past few years. So, what will Kim wear? My guess is that she’ll probably do Givenchy, although in the past few years, she has befriended other designers besides Riccardo Tisci. So, if not Givenchy, maybe Lanvin (she did Lanvin last year). Kim also admitted a few days ago that her hair is still super-damaged from going blonde more than a month ago, and that she’s going to need to put in some “pieces” (extensions) for the Met Gala.

What else? Kanye’s long-gestating new album has a new title. He was going to call it So Help Me God, which was keeping with the Yeezus-theme of “religion.” But now his album is going to be called SWISH.

What does it all mean? I have no idea. Some think it’s a basketball reference, but is Yeezus even a crazy basketball fan? Some think it’s a reference to Kim and (I guess?) their sex life. I really don’t know.
