If you’re worried that your Mad Men withdrawal is going to get kind of ugly and desperate, now is the time to catch up on Masters Of Sex. It’s period, it’s a delicious show with lots of drama and yelling and sex and nudity, and it moves through time like a freight train.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt own a lot of property all around the world. Brad’s real estate holdings in LA alone are quite extensive (mostly in Los Feliz and Malibu), plus I think he still owns a place on the beach in Santa Barbara, CA. At one point, Angelina owned a big farmhouse in the English countryside, but I’m pretty sure she sold it. Plus, she owns a huge swath of land in Cambodia, most of which was given over to a charity-run nature preserve. They also own the huge Chateau Miraval in the South of France, complete with a running vineyard (which produces an award-winning rosé). And they also have a big mansion in New Orleans. Brad bought the family home on the French Quarter about a year after Hurricane Katrina. They’ve stayed at the NOLA home, off and on, throughout the years, although not much lately. So, it’s not a huge surprise that Brad and Angelina have decided to sell.
Laissez le bon temp rouler no more! Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are placing their New Orleans mansion on the market, asking a cool $6.5 million for the 7,645-square-foot digs. The Hollywood royal couple purchased the home back in 2007, a year after Hurricane Katrina devastated the city and surrounding areas. The Pitt-Jolie clan made headlines for their philanthropic efforts to rebuild the area, and have since spent generous amounts of time there to help with construction efforts, film flicks and just enjoy NoLa’s charm.
As for their French Quarter residence, the historic home boasts exquisite details like Venetian plastered walls, custom marble fireplaces and a grand spiral staircase. Don’t think the home—built in the1830s—doesn’t come with plenty of Pitt-approved updates though. Since purchasing the mansion for $3.5 million, the 51-year-old actor has poured ample architectural upgrades into the 5-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom house.
With the Jolie-Pitts being the hush-hush folks they are, no interior photos are available of the stunning residence. But use your imaginations: This classic property probably qualifies as an Architectural Digest-worthy hotspot.
Pitt maintains his Make It Right foundation in the Big Easy to revamp homes in the 9th Ward with eco-friendly makeovers, and he’s also made time to film quite a few movies in town. Interview with the Vampire in 1994 and 2008?s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button rank as two of his most noteworthy New Orleans-filmed flicks, and even this spring Pitt’s been spotted shooting the upcoming The Big Short in the jazz-loving locale.

Brad also filmed Killing Them Softly in NOLA, and he produced 12 Years a Slave, which was mostly filmed in Louisiana. So, The Big Short is actually the fourth major film project Brad brought to Louisiana post-Katrina. Plus, his heart was in the right place with the Make It Right Foundation, although MIR NOLA has had some stumbles and some wasted money as a foundation. I wonder why they’re selling? Is it just an issue of “we’re really not in New Orleans that much anymore”?
Here are some photos of the Jolie-Pitts in NOLA back in 2011.

In the thumbnails of these photos, you can tell you’re looking at Brandi Glanville. But in close-ups? OMG. CB pointed out that it seems like Brandi is wearing colored contacts, which really throw her whole face off. She looks, quite frankly, demonic. But there are other issues too, right? Fillers, Botox, bad makeup application, perhaps a poorly applied bronzer. Yikes. These photos are from the ABCs Mother’s Day Luncheon yesterday.
Meanwhile, Brandi’s podcast is still making news. On Sunday’s podcast, Brandi confessed to “breaking in” to Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes’ home recently:
Brandi Glanville made a startling confession about her ex-husband Eddie Cibrian during her podcast on Sunday. The ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star revealed she broke into the home he shares with his current wife (and former mistress) LeAnn Rimes!
“Actually I broke into his house yesterday,” the 42-year-old said. “But he gave me permission because I had to get my son’s moonsuit.”
It was her first time in their house, and she wasn’t exactly thrilled about what she saw — she was actually quite frustrated with all of it.
“I’m like, ‘This f—ker is living the life. I was pissed, but that’s a whole other story,” Brandi said. “My [ex] husband doesn’t work. He’s an actor, but 90 percent of Hollywood’s out of work, so he’s not working. So I fit the bill for everything with my children.”
In case you live in a bubble, Eddie cheated on Brandi with LeAnn after he met the country singer on set of their Lifetime movie ‘The Northern Lights’ in 2009. The now exes — who were married from 2001 until 2010 — have two children together, Mason Edward, 11, and Jake Austin, 7.
[From In Touch Weekly]
I’ve always thought Brandi plays a little fast and loose with the facts about what money she gets from Eddie for child support and alimony and how much of her own money she’s spending while crying poverty. Don’t get me wrong, I think Eddie and Brandi’s financial situation at the time of their divorce was pretty bad and I think Brandi had to learn the hard way how to be smarter about money. But I don’t think Eddie skimps on child support and of course LeAnn spent a ton of money on their home. That’s the whole reason Eddie married LeAnn! So she would spend her money on him.

These newish photos of Miley Cyrus remind me of how generous she usually is with the paps. If they chase her, she’ll get out of the car and give them some photos. Then she splits, and they leave her alone. Miley knows that the celeb-media relationship is often a symbiotic one. I’m not suggesting that all stars do this, but Miley does it to avoid drama.
Miley has launched a new charity called the Happy Hippie Foundation, which will “fight injustice facing homeless youth, LGBT youth, and other vulnerable populations.” She previously promoted one of these causes by asking a homeless man named Jesse to accept her Video of the Year VMA. Miley’s foundation will stick with that cause and add a few others on as well. In an interview with the AP, Miley talks about the new foundation and alludes to her own bisexuality. She talks about her newly pink armpit hair too:
Miley on her sexuality: She says not all her past relationships were “straight, heterosexual” ones but didn’t elaborate.
On homeless youth: “It’s something that everyone sees. It’s like the birds chirping. We’re consciously ignoring it at all times, but it’s always happening right in front of us.”
She calls Bruce Jenner “my hero”: “When you have all eyes on you, what are you saying? And that’s what I had to ask myself a lot. It’s like, I know you’re going to look at me more if my (breasts) are out, so look at me. And then I’m going to tell you about my foundation for an hour and totally hustle you.”
The pink armpit hair: “The pink pits are saying, ‘Don’t tell me what to do. It’s back to what I’m preaching in a way, you know, telling these kids. I’m not just saying you be yourself and I’m going to go be Miley Cyrus. I’m saying I’m going to be my (expletive) self, too.”
[From Associated Press]
Some people will inevitably think Miley’s looking for attention with a statement about her sexuality. I don’t think that’s the case here. She’s simply illustrating why the LGBT cause is important to her, and she’s speaking to youth who are struggling with their own identities. Miley emphasized that she feels comfy with her sexuality, but lots of teenagers don’t feel powerful enough in their struggles and could use some support.
Miley also released the first video from her new Backyard Sessions (the first one was arguably awesome). This series will benefit Happy Hippie Foundation. So far, Miley’s dropped a duet with Joan Jett for “Different.” I felt a little cringey watching Miley try to sound punk rock again, but her heart is in the right place.

Above is a video of Adam Levine signing autographs for the crowd before he was scheduled to perform with Maroon 5 on Jimmy Kimmel live yesterday. He’s flanked by three security guys. Somehow a person in the front of the crowd manages to get out a bag of sugar and dump it all over Adam’s face. (That’s at about :55 in.) Adam looks shocked, steps back and gets support from his friend, and then the security team descends on the culprit and detains him. At about 1:30 Adam angrily goes over to confront the guy but then quickly leaves.
“Your sugar. Yes, please. Won’t you come and put it down on me?” http://t.co/Y8qecHL2Y6 pic.twitter.com/aEUoQ8tbd9

The unnamed assailant is in his 30s and The Hollywood Reporter claims that he “also allegedly threw a rock at Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson last week.” Maroon 5?s latest single is “Sugar” and it’s assumed that this was meant to be some kind of dumb pun.
ET Online reports that the suspect was arrested and that “Hollywood police told ET that he is a repeat offender with five victims currently pressing charges against him for battery, including Levine.”
A rep for Jimmy Kimmel Live told The Huffington Post that “Immediately after the incident occurred, Jimmy Kimmel Live security followed protocol and alerted LAPD, who responded quickly and are looking into the situation.” Maroon 5?s performance apparently went on as scheduled. Fan photos show that Levine got cleaned up and even wore the same jacket to perform.
For all the perks, advantages and free stuff celebrities get, incidents like this remind us how much of a hassle it can be too. They get recognized almost everywhere they go, they’re harassed by rude paparazzi, and some have psycho stalkers. Even with security, they can’t be protected against every scenario. This creeper reminds me of the guy who assaulted Brad Pitt, Kim Kardashian and America Ferrera at public events. Sugar is relatively harmless, and so are pies in the face, but they remind celebrities that they’re vulnerable. Where there’s a big gathering there’s potential risk involved for famous people and that must be scary. I never thought I’d have much sympathy for Adam Levine but there you go.
