Here are some photos of LeAnn Rimes, Eddie Cibrian, Eddie’s two sons and a third child at the Marvel Universe LIVE! Event on Saturday. I’m assuming the third child was one of Mason and Jake’s friends, along for the ride. The lighting is really bad and unflattering here, but that’s what you get when you have a red carpet in the middle of the day in LA.

LeAnn has actually been somewhat quiet lately, or maybe I just haven’t been paying close enough attention. LeAnn and Eddie celebrated their four wedding anniversary a few weeks ago, and she posted a ton of Instagrams to celebrate, which was annoying but… I mean, that’s pretty standard for her. She’s also still doing her stupid “chalk talk” Instagrams, also annoying, but standard for her. And then this happened last Friday:

Leave it up to me to set off the fire alarm in the airplane bathroom w/ @theDrybar dry shampoo #purecomedy #firsttimeforeverything

— LeAnn Rimes Cibrian (@leannrimes) May 1, 2015

Apparently, LeAnn was using one of those aerosol hairspray/whatever products and the aerosol was what set off the fire alarm in the plane. TMZ says the flight staff was not amused, but since everything revolves around LeAnn, she simply “laughed it off.” I would be so embarrassed.

She also spent Saturday night watching – and tweeting about – the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight. I think she was rooting for Pacquiao.

Rosie O'Donnell

I often wonder why celebrities bother to get married at all. Rosie O’Donnell can’t seem to get along with anyone, so it wasn’t a big surprise when she and Michelle Rounds announced their split in February (a few weeks after Rosie left The View).

Rosie and Michelle were married for three years and adopted a daughter, Dakota, who is now 2 years old. I remember their prenup had a no-cheating clause, but no one’s talking about cheating now. Rosie and Michelle simply hate each other. The drama kicked into medium gear last week with news that Rosie and Michelle are fighting over custody of Dakota. Michelle filed for full custody, insisting that the movie is “unequivocally in their child’s best interest and general welfare.” Rosie believes that Michelle is using Dakota as a pawn. Here’s a roundup of the news on this increasingly messy battle:

* Somebody went straight to TMZ to discuss Rosie’s alleged drinking and drugging. A source says Rosie drinks a bottle of wine per night and smokes pot (along with eating pot brownies) on the regular. Michelle, who claims to be a millionaire on her own (stock market), also promises that she’ll walk away from Rosie’s money if she gets full custody.

* Last week, Michelle was spotted hugging all over model Carmen Ortega outside a restaurant. Supposedly, these two are just friends, but Michelle made a point of getting affectionate for the cameras. They went out for a second dinner too. Carmen is a rumored reason for the Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks breakup. She also may have gotten with Reggie Bush during his Kim Kardashian phase.

* Michelle has criticized Rosie’s parenting style. She wants Dakota to have “a normal life” instead of being raised by nannies and stuck indoors 24/7. Michelle says, “I’m at my daughter’s every beck and call. I give her mild discipline instead of like carte blanche, do whatever you want, which is more or less how Rosie likes to do things.” Michelle also plans to ask a judge to require drug testing for Rosie until their custody battle ends.

* Michelle told TMZ that she wasn’t the one to call TMZ about the pot stuff. She’s also angry that Rosie Instagrammed this photo of Dakota with a “do I get a vote?” caption. Yeah, this was pretty low of Rosie, but both she and Michelle are behaving badly.

excuse me – do i get a vote?

She’s gotten so big!

Larry Birkhead and his daughter Dannielynn, 8, attended the 141st Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs on Saturday (May 2) in Louisville. The daughter of the late Anna Nicole Smith looked adorable in a pink Monsoon dress with a floral headband and sandals.

The mini fashionista accessorized with a silver bag with pink roses. Meanwhile, Larry matched his only child in a pale pink suit.

“Awesome Barnstable-Brown Kentucky Derby party. #southernhospitality,” the single dad, 42, Tweeted later that evening.

The southern event holds a special place in Larry’s heart — he first met Anna Nicole at a Kentucky Derby party in May of 2004. The model-actress would later give birth to Dannielynn in September 2006.

Larry has raised Dannielynn since the Playboy model’s drug overdose death in 2007. Their daughter was just 5-months-old at the time.

“I love kids. I definitely want kids,” Decker told PEOPLE last April. “I just have to figure out the timing of that.”

Watch for Decker to star in the upcoming Netflix show Grace and Frankie.

Meet the Royal Baby.

Prince William and Kate Middleton introduced their newborn daughter outside St. Mary’s Hospital in London, England on Saturday (May 2). Wrapped in a white shawl from GH Hurt and Son Ltd. paired with an ivory bonnet, her royal highness slept through the public introduction.

The little princess was wrapped in the same shawl that was used when introducing her older brother, 21-month-old Prince George.

“We’re very happy, very happy,” the Duke of Cambridge, 32, proudly stated.

Just ten hours after giving birth to her 8-lbs., 3-oz. daughter, the Duchess of Cambridge, 33, looked radiant after getting her hair done by Amanda Cook Tucker, and sporting a buttercup print dress by Jenny Packham.

The Duke and Duchess smiled and waved to the crowd before making their way home with William driving a black Range Rover.

The royal couple remain mum on their daughter’s name. The baby’s moniker will likely be announced after her great-grandmother, the Queen, meets her.

On Saturday, May 2, Kensington Palace announced the royal tot’s arrival.

Later that same day, Prince William was seen toting Prince George into the hospital to meet his baby sister.

Marvel

Avengers: Age of Ultron arrived as one of this weekend’s big events (other than the royal baby) with the most character-packed Marvel installment yet. Around 800 actors filled the movie, yet it still managed to overflow with CGI effects. The movie shall easily be Marvel’s biggest moneymaker yet. Before this weekend, the film earned $201 million overseas. In North America, the film pulled in around $84 million on Friday, and the comic nerds will probably make multiple visits throughout the weekend. I imagine it will hit well over $200,000 total for the weekend.

As a whole, I didn’t enjoy this film as much as The Avengers, but it was a strong entry and pushed several individual storylines into progression. I still dug this movie a lot, although the opening fight scene was so relentlessly action-packed that I feared Marvel would deliver a hollow cartoon. Luckily, Age of Ultron was peppered with moments of humor, humanity, and character development. Here are my thoughts on several of the storylines:

* Black Widow and Hulk’s romance didn’t feel shoehorned into the film at all. Their attraction, mutual respect, and respective vulnerabilities felt very organic. In the context of how the Marvel films portray the MCU, this relationship makes a lot of sense. And no, Black Widow wasn’t wh*ring around in any sense of the word.

* Tony Stark still drives me insane. He’s the douche Avenger. Ultron is an annoying, smug extension of Tony’s megalomaniacal personality. Stark couldn’t help himself from messing with artificial intelligence. Unlike the other characters, Stark’s insufferable persona overwhelms his Iron Man alter ego. I was glad to see him depart at the end, but we’ll see him again in Cap 3: Civil War.

* Captain America and his Boy Scout image mostly served as a punchline in this film, which is fine. Joss Whedon always writes worse dialogue for Cap than what he receives in his standalone movies. Cap will get his due again. Thor and his gregarious, Asgardian manner of speaking were also nice comic relief.

* Hawkeye got his backstory and the homelife that Cap has always wanted. The surprise of seeing Hawkeye’s civilian family lent a nice respite from the movie’s otherwise frenetic pace. The various characters’ interactions with the children and down-home country life were very reflective of their personalities.

* The Twins (“He’s fast, and she’s weird”) were a lovely addition, especially Scarlet Witch. They were orphans in search of a family, and in the end, only one made it out alive. Poor Quicksilver went out for a greater cause. Scarlet Witch held her own amongst the group, and Hawkeye’s recruitment speech was pretty awesome.

* Vision was … a vision to behold. Paul Bettany delivered a fantastic, enigmatic performance (worth of Thor’s hammer). I especially liked the part where he was mesmerized by his own reflection.

* The film contained a zillion cameos from various MCU characters. Jane and Pepper Potts received shoutouts, but we saw many other characters. Nick Fury, Agent Carter, Maria Hill, Falcon, Heimdall, Professor Selvig, and others enjoyed appearances. No Loki and no Bucky Barnes. I was okay with no Loki because his presence is so huge (sorry, Dragonflies!), and this movie was already jam-packed. Bucky (by nature) is supposed to be “in the wind,” so we’ll see him next in Cap 3.

* The New Avengers team assembled at the end. War Machine, Falcon, Scarlet Witch, and Vision joined up with Cap and Black Widow to keep on avenging. This changing of the guard will switch things up nicely, and some people see this new team as Marvel’s overdue nod to their ongoing diversity problem.

* The mid-credits scene carried vast implications in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Thanos (the mad titan) grabs an Infinity Gauntlet and vows to collect the stones. This is a different gauntlet than the one that Thor’s father, Odin, possesses … so now we know that more than one gauntlet exists in the MCU. *Cue soap opera stare face*

Last November, Idris Elba got our hopes up. Idris dropped some major gossip during the course of an interview, revealing that he and Tom Hiddleston had shot some scenes for The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Until that point, most people believed that Hiddleston’s Loki would not be making any kind of appearance in Ultron, villainous or otherwise. But Idris led people to believe that he and Hiddles agreed to do some kind of cameo in Ultron, just for fun and to further the story. The Daily Mail even claimed that Hiddleston had to film some EXTRA scenes at the very last minute last November/December. But as more and more critics (and now regular people) saw the film, many wondered: where was Hiddleston again? Apparently, Loki was nowhere to be found. MTV’s Josh Horowitz asked Joss Whedon about Loki’s absence directly, and Whedon admits that they shot some scenes with Hiddleston but they had to cut them.

There was no trace of Tom Hiddleston anywhere in the anticipated sequel, as signaled last year by fellow heartthrob Idris Elba, who proves yet again how much of a heartbreaker he is.

“Tom is not in the movie. Idris [Elba] misspoke…twice,” director Joss Whedon told MTV News in a video interview posted on Friday. “We did shoot something and it didn’t play…the movie has so much, is so filled and we didn’t want to feel overstuffed. And I really wanted to have Loki in it but I understood the decision…that it was just like, ‘OK, now there are too many voices in the chorus.’”

Elba, who plays Heimdall in the Thor films, had told the U.K. newspaper The Telegraph in November that he had filmed a scene for The Avengers: Age of Ultron with Hiddleston, who reprised his Thor and Avengers role as Loki, and Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor, a key cast member.

Heimdall did make it into The Avengers: Age of Ultron. You can, however, expect to see Loki in the 2017 movie Thor: Ragnarok, the third film in that franchise.

[From E! News]

My thought – and this probably makes no sense because at the end of the day, I couldn’t care less about Marvel, DC or any comic book adaptation – is that the Avengers pulled together to Mean Girl poor Tom Hiddleston because Tommy is easily the most popular actor in the franchise. Too far? Probably. After all, more people know RDJ’s name and Sam Jackson’s name and they know Chunk-Butt Evans as “that Captain America dude.” It’s silly to think that Hiddleston somehow would have more name-recognition or popularity than the rest of those guys. But still… I always get the feeling that Loki as a character is the most popular with the real Marvel nerds. And Tom has always been game to have fun with that. So, was this Mean Girling? Or was Whedon correct in saying that it was just too much of a good thing? The thing is… watch the video and it seems like it wasn’t Whedon’s call. If he had his way, he would have left Loki in.

Here are some photos of Beyonce and Jay-Z at the 2014 Met Gala, almost exactly one year ago. I didn’t love or hate Beyonce’s Givenchy ensemble here. In fact, I thought the whole look was rather disappointing, and she would have easily been one of the least-discussed major celebrities of last year’s Met Gala if not for what happened just hours after these photos were taken.

You see, Beyonce’s sister Solange was also at the Met Gala, and Solange, Jay and Beyonce all went out party-hopping after the gala. And then Solange violently assaulted Jay in an elevator, slapping him, kicking him and looking like she was going to rip his face off. That incident set off a domino-effect of speculation about Beyonce and Jay’s marriage, about Bey’s relationship with her sister, about Jay’s alleged wandering eye and so much more. It honestly took Bey and Jay MONTHS to get back to a point where they weren’t constantly justifying themselves with happy family photo-ops and vague public statements.

So you would think that maybe, one year later, Beyonce and Jay-Z would sit this one out. That they wouldn’t want to even test fate by attending another Met Gala. But you would be wrong. E! News’ sources say that although Beyonce isn’t on any of the pre-released guest lists, she’s totally going to come to the gala. E! News says “it’s not immediately known if Jay Z will be with her.” I’m guessing that Solange will definitely be there though. Solange fancies herself a Fashion Girl (and she does have legitimately better style than Beyonce). Do you think Beyonce and Solange would go to the gala together, without their husbands? Hm.

I’ll give Prince William and Duchess Kate some credit today, my gift to them: this whole second baby thing played out so much better and with so much less drama than Kate’s first pregnancy. I’m very, very impressed that Kate gave birth to her baby girl so quickly, and that she felt comfortable enough to leave the hospital the same day. Will and Kate debuted Princess Cambridge just a few minutes ago. It looked like the baby was asleep! Hopefully she won’t be as loud as her big brother.

Kate wore yellow and white which – surprisingly! – OK! Magazine predicted. They said she would wear yellow and here we are. Kate’s dress was by Jenny Packham. I’m sure it’s already sold out in the past ten minutes. Oh, and Kate’s hair looks fantastic. Seriously. No sausage curls, just sexy waves.

As with Prince George, Kate held the baby first for the photographers, then the baby was put in her little carrier/car-seat by William. He didn’t strap her in, but Kate is back there with the baby, so maybe she’ll do the strapping. Unlike George’s debut, Will and Kate didn’t stand in front of the media scrum for several minutes, answering questions and letting people get a better look at the kid.

Oh, and we’ve already gotten a clarification of Baby Girl Cambridge’s title: Kensington Palace says that she will go by Her Royal Highness, Princess of Cambridge. Meaning that when we find out the name, let’s say it’s Alice, her technical title will be HRH Alice, Princess of Cambridge. But just FYI, everyone will just call her “Princess Alice” without the formality. It will also be exciting to see what new title William bestows on Kate on the birth certificate. After all, it was on Prince George’s birth certificate that William decided – after years of denials from Buckingham Palace – to call Kate a “Princess of the realm.” BP said clearly that Kate was not a princess before then, but after George was born, they had to suck it up. People Magazine and some other sites are still trying to make “Princess Kate” happen. It never really worked though.
