Giorgio Armani gave an ill-advised interview to a UK paper a few days ago, and he ended up offending a lot of people. The most offensive thing – to me, at least – was when Armani pontificated about how gay men “do not need to dress homosexual.” He also chatted about breast implants (he’s against them), and the ideal male body (not too ripped or muscly). As it turns out, Armani also shared an anecdote about the late, great Gianni Versace. Gianni was murdered in Miami back in 1997, just six weeks before Princess Diana died in Paris. Gianni and Giorgio were contemporaries and friends, but their vision for fashion was very different. So, Armani shared a story about Gianni in the interview and now Donatella Versace is PISSED.
Donatella Versace blasted Giorgio Armani for comments about her late brother Gianni Versace.
Armani, 80, told the UK’s Sunday Times Magazine that Gianni once compared his clientele to Armani’s: “He was looking at the models, and he said to me, ‘I dress sluts. You dress church ladies.’”
But Donatella has fired back: “I find it extremely rude and tasteless that Mr. Armani has once again put words into my brother’s mouth, especially because he is sadly no longer with us to reply .?.?. This is the second time he claims this was said. The first was immediately after his death, and he apologized to me. When my brother spoke about fashion, the only word that ever came from his mouth was glamour. What should be said about my brother is: May Gianni Versace rest in peace.”
An Armani rep didn’t get back to us.
[From Page Six]
It’s interesting that Donatella was so detailed with her statement. My first thought was… it sounds sort of like an off-hand joke made between friends? If Gianni ever said that, he likely never meant for Armani to repeat it. And you have to remember, Gianni’s designs back in the ‘90s were very va-va-voom. Like, fancy hooker-wear. That doesn’t mean that Gianni thought his clients were “sluts,” just that he thought women should dress sexier and have fun. Anyway, if Donatella doesn’t want that quote out there, being attributed to her brother, I can understand her point of view. It does seem like Armani was off his rocker during that whole interview.

Dear Gossips,
Yesterday, the Cannes Film Festival announced its full jury for this year. And many are calling it the most physically attractive jury ever which I’m sure will go over well with the jury members. Still, it’s not like you can’t see it, right?
As we discussed yesterday, Jennifer Aniston made a rare public appearance on Monday night to support her BFF Courteney Cox at the premiere of Cox’s directorial effort, Just Before I Go. Some thought it was sweet that Aniston came out just to support her friend, with no ulterior motive or project to promote for herself. HA! As it turns out, Aniston has a lengthy conversation with People Magazine this week just to shill her haircare line, Living Proof. Go here to read the whole People piece. The gist? Aniston uses her friends as guinea pigs for her Living Proof line. Is this tacky? It feels tacky.
“Chris and I usually get samples like six months before so we get to try it out and see how it lasts over time and then give feedback for it,” Aniston tells PEOPLE of testing new Living Proof launches with her hairstylist and best friend Chris McMillan. “It’s so much fun; it really is a wonderful thing to be a part of.”
The actress also enlists her close group of girlfriends, including Courteney Cox (who just got a “lob”!) and yoga instructor Mandy Ingber, to try out new products like the Blow Out styling and finishing spray.
“They allow me to sort of use their hair, they’re like Barbie dolls,” she says. “Courteney has gorgeous hair, and Mandy’s is really curly so she loves the No Frizz line. Plus, everything smells incredible, that’s my other thing that I love about these products. For me that’s always a big thing, that it isn’t too fragrant-y or perfume-y. It’s so fresh and so light, so incredible.”
So do people ask Aniston for hair advice now that she’s involved in Living Proof? “No, thank God!” she says, laughing. “I so do not want to be the poster child for anyone’s hair problems. I would just say use Living Proof and you’ll be great to go.”
[From People]
There’s a lot more but it just reads as a straight-up infomercial and I kind of wonder if People Magazine is being paid to endorse this sh-t. And beyond that, is Aniston paying Courteney and Mandy for their second-hand celebrity endorsements? That’s what’s tacky to me – Aniston hasn’t been seen in two months, then she suddenly pops up, seemingly to “support a friend,” and in a sleazy quid pro quo, Aniston name-drops Courteney Cox as a fan of the haircare line that Aniston partially owns.
But yes, Jennifer is a 46 year old woman and all she does these days is give interviews about her hair. Deep as a puddle.

Single mom Sandra Bullock has been named PEOPLE‘s 2015 “World’s Most Beautiful Woman.” The Academy Award-winning actress, 50, opens up about the “ridiculous” title and gushes about 5-year-old son Louis.
On “deep” conversations with Louis: “[I love] listening to him tell me why he was going to marry his girlfriend. But then we were having Sunday dinner, and he said he changed his mind. I just told him, ‘Always love those who want to love you back and are nice to you.’ Then we moved back to Legos and ‘Why are you making me eat broccoli?’ “
On Louis being wrapped around her finger: “But I will never let him know it. We have rules. I let everyone else be the aunties and uncles who spoil him and I’m the one that lays down the law.”
On Louis trying to understand her celebrity status: “He thought I was an astronaut for a while. I want it to be so inconsequential and such a nonissue. I want him to be embarrassed by me like all other parents.”
On a sweet conversation with Louis: “I was putting him to bed and told him that even when I’m old and gray and more wrinkly than I am now, I’ll still love him and want to tuck him in. And he asked why I have wrinkles, and I said, ‘Well, I hope some of them are from laughing so much.’ And he touched my face and said, ‘You’re not old, you’re just happy.’ ”
On being named “World’s Most Beautiful Woman”: “No, really. I just said, ‘That’s ridiculous. I’ve told no one.”
On her definition of beauty: “Real beauty is quiet. Especially in this town, it’s just so hard not to say, ‘Oh, I need to look like that.’ No, be a good person, be a good mom, do a good job with the lunch, let someone cut in front of you who looks like they’re in a bigger hurry. The people I find most beautiful are the ones who aren’t trying.”
The magazine’s May 4, 2015 issue highlights 192 other beautiful women, including Laverne Cox, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Ariana Grande, Gigi Hadid, Taraji P. Henson, Vanessa Hudgens, Padma Lakshmi, Shay Mitchell and Meghan Trainor, to name a few.

Jennifer Garner and Gisele Bundchen attended an event last night to support the Just Label It project, which is advocating for federal mandates of food labeling for genetically modified consumer products. Both discussed the importance of transparency in the food industry, something that is sorely lacking when it comes to genetically modified food. Garner said that she’s able to buy non-GMO foods (she probably shops at Whole Paycheck Foods) but that the rest of the country doesn’t have that luxury. She also talked about growing her own food and helping her children understand the origins of their food. You can see a brief video interview with Garner on E! Online.
Garner on why she got involved with the cause
My friend Gisele and I are fed up with being kept in the dark about GMO and non-GMO labeling,” Garner said. “I got involved because she said, ‘Do you know what’s happening?’ She’s a firecracker. She said, ‘You have to educate yourself.
It’s easy for me to shop at places where foods are labeled. Only 3% of the food we produce is non-GMO. But if that 3% is available to you, you kind of take that for granted, but the rest of the country is being fed food – certainly all of the animals that are being turned into our meat, they’re all being fed food that’s been genetically modified.
How Garner educates her children about food
I cook for my kids, and we have a garden. We try to grow whatever we can, although I can’t say we have the hugest crop in the world, but I do try to pay close attention and I do my best.
But we talk about our food, we grow food, we talk about what goes into it and how hard it is. They planted it, they water it, they take pictures next to it. I’m a geek.
On what Garner cooks for her kids
I make everything. Roasted chicken and mashed potatoes, gravy, homemade bread, corn on the cob, you know, whatever.
Gisele on GMO labeling
This is a very important cause to me as an individual, as a parent and as a mother. I am here tonight because I believe we have the right to know what’s in our food.
Food sustains our bodies, minds and souls, and as a mother, I feel it is my responsibility to know what I am feeding my family. We need transparency in our food industry.
[From US Magazine and E! Online]
I’ve heard reports claiming the GMO foods are no riskier and that people are overreacting to the potential threat. However in the EU GMO foods are very strictly regulated to the point where most GMO crops are banned. The way I understand it, it’s not about the risk to human health so much as the potential agricultural issues that come up with GMO crops, such as cross contamination. Plus, we simply don’t know the long term effects of GMO foods on human health. At the very least we can have labeling for foods to help inform consumers. I eat non-organic vegetables from the grocery store, (organic veggies don’t last as long, are more expensive, and aren’t more nutritionally valuable) but I do think this is a worthy cause. It’s not necessarily going to get me to buy non-GMO food, but I think consumers should be informed about it.
Good for Garner for growing her own vegetables with her family and teaching her children where their food comes from. I’m not that ambitious and am not a gardener, but I appreciate it when people grow their own food. It’s a cause that Michelle Obama has helped champion, too. Children should also know what an environmental burden it is to raise animals for meat. I feel like I should mention that on Earth Day. If we can reduce our meat consumption and substitute local meat where possible we can reduce our impact on the environment.
I believe we have a right to know what is in our food. #justlabelit #GMOlabeling. Eu acredito que nós temos o direito de saber o que tem em nossa comida. #poenorotulo

Naming Sandra Bullock the Most Beautiful Person in the World is sort of like naming Tom Hanks “the Nicest Dude in the World.” It’s an obvious choice, and it’s a choice that will give People Magazine very little controversy. The past cover ladies have included Lupita Nyong’o (2014), Gwyneth Paltrow (2013), Beyonce (2012) and Jennifer Lopez (2011). The “most beautiful” does skew towards moms, but to give People Mag some credit, they’ve been doing more diverse lists over the past decade or so. Anyway, part of the agreement when one is named Most Beautiful is an in-depth interview with People. You can read Sandra’s full interview here. She talks mostly about being a mom to son Louis. Some highlights:
When she heard she was ‘Most Beautiful’: She laughed. “No, really. I just said, ‘That’s ridiculous.’ I’ve told no one.”
Beauty in LA: “Real beauty is quiet.
Conversations with Louis: “[I’m] listening to him tell me why he was going to marry his girlfriend. But then we were having Sunday dinner, and he said he changed his mind. I just told him, ‘Always love those who want to love you back and are nice to you.’ Then we moved back to Legos and ‘Why are you making me eat broccoli?’ ”
Her workouts with Body By Simone four to five times a week: “I love that it’s not big weights, you move the entire time, it’s a torture chamber of sorts. When I started, I could barely do 20 seconds, and I’m not kidding. I’m crying on the floor, and she’s like, ‘Are you a smoker?’ I was like, ‘I hate you.’ ”
What Louis says about her wrinkles: “I was putting him to bed and told him that even when I’m old and gray and more wrinkly than I am now, I’ll still love him and want to tuck him in. And he asked why I have wrinkles, and I said, ‘Well, I hope some of them are from laughing so much.’ And he touched my face and said, ‘You’re not old, you’re just happy.’ ”
[From People]
She talks a lot about how she is as a mother, that she maintains the rules but she lets all of Louis’s aunties and uncles spoil him. She also says that she doesn’t want Louis to know she’s an actress because “I want it to be so inconsequential and such a nonissue. I want him to be embarrassed by me like all other parents.”
Let’s see who else made the Most Beautiful list this year – you can see People’s slideshow here. Who made the list? Vanessa Hudgens, Ariana Grande, Gabrielle Union, Laverne Cox, Taraji P. Henson, Gigi Hadid and many more. This list seems sort of… boring? I kind of think Taraji would have been a great cover girl though.

Several years ago, before Emily Blunt got pregnant, I was sort of concerned about her diminishing appearance. Blunt always had a great figure – she was athletic and fit without looking sinewy or ‘roidy, but at some point, it seemed like she lost a significant amount of weight and you could really see it on her face. It was worrisome, even though it happens all the time in Hollywood – someone gets praise for looking fit and healthy and then they lose a lot of weight. But then Emily had a healthy pregnancy and I have to say, post-pregnancy, she’s back to looking fit and healthy.
Why bring this up? Because it seems like we weren’t the only people noticing Emily’s thin look. In some Sony Hack documents, Amy Pascal tells a director that she’s “worried” about Emily because she “looked anorexic.”
Emily Blunt is best known for playing an under-nourished fashion magazine assistant in Vogue satire The Devil Wears Prada, chastising Anne Hathaway’s character in one scene: ‘You eat carbs, for heaven’s sake.’ But it appears Hollywood executives are worried life is imitating art for the 32-year-old, Roehampton-born actress.
In an email discussing her possible role as super-villain Scorpion in a Spider-Man spin-off, Sony Pictures chairwoman Amy Pascal wrote she was ‘worried’ about Blunt.
‘I think I saw a picture of her and she looked anorexic,’ Pascal told director Drew Goddard and fellow Sony executives in the missive, one in a series of emails that have just been published by WikiLeaks. Goddard was keen for Blunt to star in his film Sinister Six, however, earlier enthusing to Pascal: ‘F***. Even as I type this . . . Picture Emily Blunt with a Scorpion tail on . . . Oh g-ddamn it, now I might need her for Sinister Six. Or, at least, Sinister Six Two.’
The Pascal email was sent in May last year, just months after Blunt gave birth to her first child, daughter Hazel, with her actor husband John Krasinski. No casting has yet been announced, so it remains to be seen whether Pascal won the day.
Emails also reveal that Emily was considered for two other Sony Pictures films, both about alien invasions, which ultimately ended up going to lesser known actresses. Pascal claimed she ‘loved’ the idea of Emily Blunt for Adam Sandler film Pixels, due out this summer, but the role went to True Detective actress Michelle Monaghan. Blunt was also considered for The 5th Wave, out next year, but was pipped to the part by Maria Bello. Yesterday a spokesman for Blunt declined to comment.
[From The Daily Mail]
I really can’t decide how inappropriate this is. I always say that it’s okay to simply NOTICE when someone has lost a lot of weight, because that’s human nature. We’re visual animals. We all look at celebrities and think, “Oh, he looks different, what is it? His face is pulled too tight” or “she’s lost a lot of weight since I last saw her.” If Amy Pascal was just chatting with a friend or colleague and said, “I’m sort of worried about Emily Blunt, someone needs to tell her that she’ll get more work if she gains a few pounds back,” I think that would be… normal. That would be something I could see myself doing, honestly. But it feels like Amy Pascal was bad-mouthing Emily to a director who wanted to hire Emily, like “anorexic” was an insult rather than a legitimate concern.

Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian on her way to the Time 100 gala last night in NYC. This is why Kim and Kanye flew out of LA a few nights ago – they came to NYC just to attend the Time 100 gala, which makes sense because Time included both of them on the Most Influential People list (Yeezus even got a cover). Kim wore this surprisingly appropriate Sophie Theallet gown. I mean… she looks really nice, right? For her. Yes, it’s cleavage-y and her hair could be better, but overall… this is a nice look for Kim. It’s almost modest and conservative.
While on the red carpet, Kim and Kanye were “pranked” by Amy Schumer – Schumer threw herself, face-down, on the carpet in front of Kimye – go here to see the photos. Kanye does not look amused. Kim sort of gets it, but she’s not happy either. You know who is laughing her ass off? Laverne Cox. Hahaha.
More photos from the Time 100 red carpet… Ronan Farrow came with his mom, Mia Farrow. But who is his father?!
Karlie Kloss in a simple black gown. Very pretty. I like her hair sort of undone like this.
Faith Hill and Tim McGraw – they both look like they’ve been hitting the ‘Tox, right? Faith wore an elegant Armani Prive Spring 2015 look.
Julianne Moore in black sparkles, looking happy.
Laverne Cox in a stunning Marc Bouwer Fall 2015 gown. This is one of the best looks I’ve seen on Laverne in a long time. She stood out too, because most women wore black to this event.
Julianna Margulies in a black Michael Kors Fall 2015 gown. I think this is my favorite of all the black gowns!

Here’s a photo of Kylie Jenner with a friend. They both have the same plumped lips, but Kylie’s the one on the right. I’ve talked a lot about Kylie’s lips, mostly because she wants us to talk about them. Kylie insists that her lips are so boring and not worthy of discussion, but she spends 40 minutes plumping them every day. She Instagrams the lips all the time to remind us that, yes, her lips are much bigger than they were last year.
Kylie’s lips are an internet trending topic. She’s influencing teens who want to live a life of lip-plumping luxury too, and there are pictures to prove it.
(WARNING: The following links contain very graphic photos.)
A disturbing new Twitter tag, #KylieJennerChallenge, has come out. The trend calls for sticking one’s lips into a shot glass or bottle, which causes lips to swell (because blood vessels burst). Teens are taking this asinine challenge, and they’re in a lot of pain as a result. USA Today gathered up a bunch of disturbing selfies of teens who did this. The results are just awful — these kids are achieving (temporarily) larger lips, but they’re unable to eat, and they’re experiencing some nasty bleeding and scarring. Seventeen spoke to a dermatologist who says the challenge can lead to “permanent disfigurement.” TMZ says some teens have been hospitalized after doing this.
Kylie’s lips say she wants no part of this challenge. She distanced herself on Twitter.
I’m not here to try & encourage people/young girls to look like me or to think this is the way they should look. (Cont…)

I want to encourage people/young girls like me to be YOURSELF & not be afraid to experiment w your look. ??????

This is so sad and horrifying. Teens are hurting themselves in an effort to be like Kylie, who has provided a tutorial on how she plumps her lips with liner and makeup. She never talks about the injections, of course. All of this risk, just to imitate a Jenner girl.
One more very important thing. Tyga’s ex, Blac Chyna, performed her own version of the #KylieJennerChallenge with wax lips! #shade

Here are some photos of Scarlett Johansson at last night’s London premiere of The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Am I crazy for liking this? ScarJo isn’t giving me budget Elsa Pataky vibes anymore, and I’m sort of enjoying her crazy hair and this Balmain Fall 2015 jumpsuit. It reads like a gown but it actually is a jumpsuit with very wide legs. The multi-colored fabric could have gone either way, but the black border at the top and the black at the waist brings everything together and makes this look sophisticated rather than dated. There’s only one styling mistake here: the Bvlgari earrings. They don’t work with this jumpsuit.
While doing the big press conference for Ultron yesterday, ScarJo fielded some questions about why there isn’t a stand-alone Black Widow movie. While I appreciate the fact that there’s an appetite for female superhero films, those questions should be directed towards Joss Whedon and Kevin Feige, right? NOT ScarJo? Here’s Scarlett trying to say that yes, she would love a Black Widow movie but still, she’s a Company Woman.
Whenever anyone goes on and on about how Scarlett is super-brilliant, I’m always like “Really? Her?” Don’t get me wrong, she’s smarter than the average starlet and she’s managed to fashion an excellent career for herself. But you know she like you know says you know like a lot and I sometimes you know get the you know feeling that like people just want to like paint her as you know the bombshell with you know a brain.
