While she has been very open about her struggles with infertility, Giuliana Rancic and husband Bill Rancic are still hoping to bring home a sibling for their 2-year-old son Duke. The candid E! News star, 40, says she has only one frozen embryo left.

“This could be our last shot,” Giuliana told Life & Style. “We’re keeping our fingers crossed that everything works out.”

Although she’d love to have another child, the Fashion Police star – who received major backlash last week after making an offensive comment on TV – is sure to count her blessings.

“If I don’t ever have another kid, I have to remind myself that I’m very fortunate to have what I have,” she shared.

Giuliana went through three rounds of IVF treatments before finding out she had breast cancer. The couple put their plans to start a family on hold while Giuliana underwent a double mastectomy.

After beating cancer, the Rancics turned to Delphine, the surrogate who would later deliver Duke, but Delphine suffered a miscarriage with their second child in 2014.

“We struggled for so many years to have a baby, and now that it has come true we really enjoy each and every moment with Duke,” Giuliana shared with Celebrity Baby Scoop.

She added: “This year has been incredible and also tough. I wouldn’t say this has been the most challenging year, because my most challenging year was when I had breast cancer. However, it has been a challenging time, because I love my baby so much and want to make sure I’m doing everything I can to ensure he’s safe, healthy, and happy. Bill and I have given it our all this year and it’s been a lot of work. At the same time, it’s been incredibly rewarding and we’ve loved every minute of it.”

Bad boy Chris Brown has reportedly become a father — and sources say his daughter has a monarch-themed moniker.

According to TMZ, the 9-month-old baby girl is named Royalty.

On Wednesday, news broke that the rap superstar, 25, and former model Nia, 31, welcomed a daughter 9 months ago.

While Nia and Royalty live in Texas, sources say that Chris now wants to contribute to his daughter’s life.

And an insider says that Brown’s mother, Joyce Hawkins, will help him raise the child.

“Joyce loves her son and she will never think that anything Chris does is wrong,” says a source. “They’re just learning experiences. She accepts Chris’ baby girl and will have a hand in raising her grandchild. It’s that simple. Family is family. Blood and blood. That’s that.”

Mm, Idris Elba. Here are some pics of Idris out in London this week. He’s actually filming new episodes (or one two-hour special episode?) of Luther. Idris loves Luther and he’s wanted to do a Luther movie for a while too, but people are pretty sure this is just a TV episode being filmed. The girl in these photos if Laura Haddock. She looks really happy to be filming scenes with Idris Elba. You’d have a sh-t-eating grin on your face too if you were that close to Idris’s thunder.

I’ve admitted this before, but here I go again: I really couldn’t get into Luther. The accents were too strong, and you know it’s something when I’m saying that! I love British TV shows, but I can’t understand what half of the characters are saying in Luther, plus the show is literally too dark. The characters need to turn on some lamps. But for fans of the show, yay, he’s back!

What else is going on with Idris? Well, he did a film called Beasts of No Nation where he plays an African warlord. The film was bought by Netflix – as in, Netflix outbid studios – and now the film isn’t going to get a theatrical release, but it will be streamed on Netflix.

Meanwhile, people are still talking about how Idris would make a really good James Bond once Daniel Craig retires. In the past week, I’ve seen like a dozen “think pieces” on why Big Dris should be 007. And when Pierce Brosnan was being interviewed a few weeks ago, he was asked if he thought Idris would make a good James Bond. Pierce’s reply? “Yeah, he would actually.” WORD.

Julie Andrews

This isn’t a huge story, but I found the discussion endearing and genuine. Julie Andrews is promoting the 50-year anniversary DVD edition of The Sound of Music. I guess that explains why Lady Gaga performed the title track at the Oscars last month. Andrews visited Good Morning Britain to talk about the movie, but I’m more interested in her thoughts on marriage. Julie lost her husband, Blake Edwards, in 2010. They were married for 41 years, and she’s still coping with her pain. Marriage feels like a fragile institution at times, and show business is notoriously rough on relationships. Four decades is a major accomplishment.

Julie talked about how she met Blake, which she describes as “literally ships that passed in the night.” They actually shared the same therapist in the 1960s, and Blake often stopped to say hello. They knew each other for a decade before marrying. The secret of their longevity seems too simple to be true:

Her successful marriage: “He sadly passed away about three years ago, but we were married 41 years and it was a love story, it was. Success in our marriage was to take it one day at a time and so, lo and behold, 41 years later there we still were. There are days when it’s perfectly wonderful and I am myself and then it’s suddenly – sock you in the middle of your gut and you think ‘ah God I wish he were here.’ But he is in a way, I think one carries that love always.”

How they met: “We met about 10 years before, literally ships that passed in the night at some event but we actually … our cars, I was going one way and he was going the other, he rolled down the window after smiling a couple of times and he said, ‘Are you going where I just came from?’ I was going to a therapist he was coming from. Very corny, sorry about that.”

[From Good Morning Britain]

Taking it one day at a time sounds deceptively easy but highly effective. Julie and Blake didn’t overanalyze their relationship and stayed in the moment. We should all be so lucky. There’s a common saying that long marriages can survive when two parties never wanted to get divorced at the same time. I don’t know if that was ever the cause with Julie and Blake (probably not), but it’s a bittersweet adage.

Here’s a video clip of Julie talking about how she met Blake.

Last year, Salma Hayek made an oopsie about feminism. She was at an event supporting women’s rights, equality in education, etc, and she was asked point-blank if she considers herself a feminist. Her reply? “I am not a feminist. If men were going through the things women are going through today, I would be fighting for them with just as much passion. I believe in equality.” Because we all know how feminism is the fight for inequality, correct? Anyway, Salma has a new interview with The Guardian (she promoting her adaptation of Khalil Gibran’s The Prophet) and the subject of feminism comes up again. Here are the relevant quotes:

When asked, “What does feminism mean to you?”

Salma says, “I am a feminist because I love women and I am ready to fight for women. I am a feminist because I am proud to be a woman, and I am passionate about making the world a better place for women. I am a feminist because a lot of amazing women have made me the woman I am today. I am inspired by women every day, as friends and as colleagues…

“But – it should not be just because I am a woman…A reflex. It should be a reflex, if someone else is being hurt, to help. It shouldn’t have to be because you are being a victim too. I work a lot for domestic violence, and people often ask me if I have experienced it. And I say, no, on the contrary – my father is a great man, my husband is a great man. But we are all human beings, no?”

“The amount of pressure on women now, it’s crazy. You have to be much better than your male colleagues, just so you can maybe try and get the same salary as them. And you still have to be a good wife and mother. And now you also have to be skinny, and you have to look 20 when you’re 40. It’s too much. We need to stop with the crazy expectations, give ourselves a break.”

[From The Guardian]

So… she’s a feminist now. Glad we cleared that up. And I sort of agree that feminism should be a reflex to inequality, which is maybe what she meant to say last year, but everything got convoluted. She also talks about how even though she’s married to a billionaire, she still pays her own bills and she insists that she has no interest in being a “society lady.” She also threw shade at one of her other new films, Everly, because “we don’t want to talk about. It’s not what I thought it would be. I want it to go away, that one.” Ouch.
