Here are some photos of Cara Delevingne at the Chanel show yesterday. Did you know that Cara only walked for Chanel this whole season? Cara is arguably one of the hottest young models working today, but I can’t figure out if it’s smart or stupid to limit her runway work so severely this season. Cara has other stuff going on, obviously, and she trying to make an acting career happen and she’s already a stand-alone celebrity, regardless of her modeling work. But I’m sure other designers wanted Cara to walk for their shows. It just seems stupid to turn down work like that.

As for Cara’s Chanel runway look in particular… well, this is what Karl Lagerfeld wanted. Nude lips and dark, angry-baby eye makeup. It does nothing for Cara, but whatever. The Chanel show was set up like a bar/party, so that after the models strutted through the pavilion, they got to sit at the bar and have a drink.

As for yesterday’s story about Cara and Naomi Campbell getting into some kind of scrappy tussle, Naomi said it didn’t happen. And Cara’s denial was… oddly-worded. This is what both ladies tweeted:

@NaomiCampbell people love to make a drama out of nothing

— Cara Delevingne (@Caradelevingne) March 10, 2015

So… nothing happened? Or something did happen but it wasn’t the weave-pulling catfight that Page Six made it sound like? I have no idea. I would like to think that Cara would not outright deny something that really happened, but she has a history of freaking out when anyone dares to call her out on anything. I don’t know what to tell you! I was actually quite happy believing that Naomi and Cara got into an altercation.

PS… It’s also worth noting that Cara really is BFFs with Kendall Jenner for some reason. Kendall is all over Cara’s Instagram – go here to see.

madonna-today

During a Tuesday appearance on TODAY, pop superstar Madonna promoted her new album Rebel Heart and talked about how her four children – Lourdes, 18, Rocco, 13, and 9-year-olds Mercy and David – feel about her racy songs.

“Lola’s horrified by all of it. She just wants me to be her mom,” the Like a Virgin hitmaker, 56, told Carson Daly of her college-age daughter.

As for the younger kids, perhaps the terror will hit them soon.

“At this point, Rocco doesn’t care. It just goes over. He’s like, ‘Ugh, mom. Mom’s being mom,’ ” she said. “The other little kids aren’t tuned into that frequency yet.”

Admittedly, the Material Girl says it can be awkward at times, particularly if the kids would visit the studio when she was recording songs like Holy Water (an EDM track about oral sex).

“It’s a little bit cray cray,” she shared. “Here’s the weird thing, every time my kids would visit me in the studio, it would just so happen I was working on a song like Holy Water or S.E.X., and I’d be like … umm … Okay, just … Stay outside. I’ll be right out.”

In November, she returned to the African country of Malawi, where she adopted Mercy and David.

“I love taking all of my kids there,” she shared. “They walk into hospitals, and tell jokes and stories, and embrace children who are in some pretty extreme states health-wise. And they’re not afraid. And I love that. And I love to see them behaving in a generous way towards human beings, you know, outside of their world.”

Despite being a pop music icon, the mom-of-four insists she lives a normal life.

“The more kids you have, the more responsibilities you have, the more you have to really be aware of time, time management, and juggling lots of balls in the air and thinking, ‘Oh my God, how am I gonna do this? How am I gonna promote my record and show up at my daughter’s show?’ ” she said.

This is the most covered-up Kim Kardashian has been in Paris thus far, right? These photos are of Kim and Kanye leaving their hotel and heading out to the Louis Vuitton show today. I’m assuming Kim is wearing LV. And even though we’ve been begging Kim to cover up her “assets” for a week now, this is not the way to do it. This ensemble is not good. At all. First of all, this is a pretty typical problem for curvy girls: the cleaner the look, the thinner you’ll look. The more ruffles, ruching and peplums, the bigger you’ll look. Plus, Kim simply hasn’t been wearing bras at all in Paris. Her girls are crying out for a bra!!

Meanwhile, if you’ve noticed a drop off in affection between Kanye and Kim, you’re not imagining things. I tend to think Kanye is just bored with his Real Doll after he made her go blonde, but who knows? Maybe he’s not used to spending so much time with Kim for days on end. Radar has a theory too – that Kim and Kanye have decided to put their pregnancy plans on hold for a bit.

Kim Kardashian has been very vocal about trying for another baby, but RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that she’s still not pregnant. And now, sources say, the disappointed reality star is “taking a break” from trying.

“Kim has been taking a break from trying to get pregnant,” a source told Radar. “She really, really wants to give North a sibling, but she is saying that she has been too stressed about it so she has stopped trying for now.”

One sign of her new outlook? “Kim bleached her hair and she’s focused on looking her best,” the source said. “She just isn’t going to make getting pregnant her only priority right now. It’s been so hard on her body, and before she does IVF or any other fertility treatments she decided she wanted to take a month off.”

Meanwhile she is back in Europe, where North was conceived, but the source said she is forbidding anyone from bringing that subject up.

“Kim doesn’t want anyone to talk about the fact that Europe is a good luck place for her and Kanye since North was conceived in Florence. She just wants to ignore the fact that she hasn’t been able to get pregnant, hoping that if she relaxes a little bit it will happen for her.”

[From Radar]

Taking a break isn’t the worst idea. She should relax, she should stop with the blonde and the Botox and she should stop wearing clothes that cut off circulation to her nether regions. Spend a month in sweatpants. Don’t get any new surgical or non-surgical work done. Relax. And if it still doesn’t happen, get some medical help.

Looking every bit the proud parents-to-be, Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Baldwin posed for pics at the 6th Annual Bent On Learning Inspire! Gala in New York City on Tuesday (March 10).

The pregnant yoga instructor, 30, looked beautiful in a black maternity dress at the event, which was hosted by fellow celebrity mom Bridget Moynahan.

“He’s kicking!! Must be a yoga fan @bentonlearning,” Hilaria Instagrammed an image at the event, which raised money for the nonprofit organization committed to teaching yoga to New York City public school children.

The 30 Rock star, 56, and his wife expect their second child together – a boy – later this year. They are already parents to 1-year-old daughter Carmen.

Katy Cambridged stepped out today in Margate, England for a visit to Turner Contemporary Art Gallery. She wore a print coat that’s recycled from the last time she was pregnant.

Speaking of that…

They’re saying now that the baby is due at the end of April. According to t…

Julianne Moore covers the April issue of Harper’s Bazaar. She’s such a beautiful redhead, but I’m not sure if Duchess Kate-esque curls are her best look. Bazaar conducted this interview in the heat of the Oscar campaign – the bulk of the interview takes place on the same day as the Oscar nominees’ luncheon – but considering everyone knew Julianne was going to win, she seems at peace here. Like, she wasn’t trying to come across any particular Oscar-friendly way. If anything, I think this interview would have caused a minor ruckus if it was released before the Oscars, mostly because of Julianne’s casual use of “queer” as a pejorative. You can read the full piece here. Some highlights:

She hates the red carpet mani-cam: “I’m 54 years old. I can’t make my fingers walk; it’s humiliating! And a guy asked me to lift up my skirt to show them my shoes, and I said, ‘I don’t need to do that. Let’s keep some dignity.’ ”

The red carpet marathon, with kids: “It helps that the children are older. When I did this before—all four of the other nominations—my kids were babies. It’s easier doing it without an infant, put it that way. Poor Rosamund Pike. She just had a baby. It’s really tough. And she looks f–king awesome. But I’ve been there! With my daughter, I’d been nursing her almost a year, and one of my boobs conked out, so I was completely uneven.” Cutlets to the rescue? “Oh, yeah! It’s not glamorous at all, by the way.”

She fully admits she watches what she eats: “We’d all be lying if we said we aren’t watching what we eat. Of course we are! I think we’re also really stressed. I’m not a stress eater. I get nervous and I don’t eat. But, you know, I had a dress on the other day, and I said to my manager, ‘When you see my back fat sticking out, tuck it back in!’ ” Chuckle. “Be a friend.”

She uses “queer” as a pejorative? “I have great kids. I have a great husband—and I know it sounds queer! My son and daughter both play basketball, and my husband and I do our best to go to every game. We try to spend time as a family. We just try to be super involved in each other’s lives… The fact that they get involved in all of this—it’s a good thing!”

Which actresses she loves: “Ellen Page [who stars as Moore’s girlfriend in the upcoming Freeheld]. Kristen Stewart, I just love her. Emma Stone is fabulous. I love Catherine Deneuve. I love Tilda Swinton. But women are fabulous. I like our camaraderie, our similarities, how we collaborate. When my daughter was born, I looked at her in the bassinet and I said, ‘You’re one of us.’ I’m going to cry if I think about it too much. I had this little girl and was like, ‘Yup. You’re one of us. ‘”

[From Harper’s Bazaar]

It really upsets me that she’s using “queer” as a pejorative, like “loving my family is totally gay.” Really, Julianne? Do you think we’re going to get an apology for that, or will Julianne be able to coast on goodwill? Will GLAAD give her a pass because she’s always been so publicly supportive of LGBTQ issues?

Update: A lot of commenters feel like Julianne was using “queer” to mean “odd” or strange. I see the argument, but I still believe she was using the word like “loving my husband is so gay.”

terri-seymour-newborn-daughter

New mom Terri Seymour shared the first official photo of her newborn daughter via Instagram Tuesday.

“Finally she’s here! We are the happiest Mummy and Daddy in the world. Words can’t express how happy we feel #TrueLove. Now back to staring at my baby,” she captioned the image of her baby girl’s bare feet.

The TV personality, 40, and British model Clark Mallon, 24, welcomed their daughter on Monday, March 9, in Los Angeles.

The Extra correspondent is remaining mum on all other birth details at this time.

Last month, Terri opened up to Celebrity Baby Scoop about the best baby advice she had received.

“Make the most of it, because it goes by so quickly,” she shared. “That’s been really good advice. It goes by so fast, so enjoy every second. Try to get as much rest as I can now, because obviously I’m not going to get as much sleep when the baby comes along.”

One of my favourite Twitter feeds is “Probably A Feminist”, devoted to retweeting people who say things like “I’m not a feminist but women should get equal pay for equal work.” Or “I’m not a feminist but I believe in all the generally agreed-upon goals of…

There are several updates to yesterday’s story about the leaked video of OU Sigma Alpha Espsilon members chanting a horribly offensive racist song. OU President David Boren shut down the frat house and expelled two students, who were the “ringleaders” of this scandal. Boren says these students can contact OU’s Equal Opportunity Office if they wish to appeal their expulsion. We also talked about Waka Flocka Flame, who was scheduled to perform for SAE next month. The rapper cancelled his performance, saying he was “disgusted and disappointed” in the brothers’ actions. Let’s update with bulletpoints.

* Us Weekly published an additional statement from the Waka Flocka’s management, who wishes to emphasize that he is not punishing the university: “Let our decision weld a platform of conversation rather than raise the brows of anger among those who share our distaste and disgust from such a video. This was not a disciplinary action on the innocent students, nor among the guilty that share such wayward thoughts, but a collective reminder of the stain in which remains.

* CBS News spoke with the SAE house mom, 78-year-old Beauton Gilbow. She claimed to be shocked at the leaked video: “I heard the words. Unbelievable … This is not SAE.” Then a new video surfaced, which shows Gilbow “rapping” the n-word too.

* CBS also interviewed the fraternity’s black chef, Howard Dixon, who is now unemployed. He cooked for SAE for 14 years and “considers the students his family even though he is ‘shocked’ by their remarks.” Alumni raised over $34,000 for Dixon.

* One of the expelled students, Parker Rice, issued an apology via People, which reads (in part), “I am deeply sorry for what I did Saturday night. It was wrong and reckless. I made a horrible mistake by joining into the singing and encouraging others to do the same. On Monday, I withdrew from the University and sadly, at this moment our family is not able to be in our home because of threatening calls as well as frightening talk on social media.” Parker says he was drunk, and “the song was taught to us.

* Jesse Williams (who has previously spoken at length on on institutional racism) tweeted about the SAE video. He starts off by linking the SAE chant lyrics to the death of a Haitian American student during hazing by the SAE Cornell chapter and goes from there:

“Hang ’em from a tree” is proud celebration of the devastating kidnap, torture & murder of Americans by actual terrorists, for fun. #SAE

— jesseWilliams. (@iJesseWilliams) March 10, 2015

#Tradition just means it’s happened for awhile. #Tradition is not a reason, it’s a pattern. Reason is your job. #Traditions kill everyday.

— jesseWilliams. (@iJesseWilliams) March 10, 2015

#NotJustSAE is highlighting the pervasiveness of anti-black & brown activities on today’s college campuses. #GoToThere #CultureOfDestruction

— jesseWilliams. (@iJesseWilliams) March 11, 2015

Jesse’s first tweet references the death of George Desdunes, a Haitian Cornell student, in 2011. He pledged SAE and was found dead after a hazing ritual. Desdunes was tied up, forced to take several shots of alcohol, and left for dead. This NYT article talks about the coverup of George Desdunes’ death. As always, Jesse cuts straight to the truth of the matter, and he doesn’t want us to forget that the SAE fraternity has a damning history. This racist chant didn’t spring out of nowhere — it’s an institutional problem that must be dealt with before another tragedy happens.

kate-middleton-dalmation-3

Expectant mum Kate Middleton stepped out in style while visiting Margate’s Turner Contemporary art gallery in Kent, South England on Wednesday (March 11).

The Duchess of Cambridge, 33, turned to an old favorite for the outing: a $265 dalmatian print coat by Hobbs that she also wore at a similar stage of her pregnancy when she was carrying Prince George in June 2013.

Sporting a sleek ponytail, the pregnant Duchess accessorized her look with Annoushka earrings, a Mulberry clutch, and a pair of black Stuart Weitzman pumps.

The royal mum-to-be, who is now eight months’ pregnant, also wore the outfit when she named a cruise ship – her last public outing before she went on maternity leave.

This marks the second time this week that Kate has recycled an outfit. On Monday, she looked pretty in the pink Alexander McQueen coat she previously wore it at Queen Elizabeth’s birthday parade two years ago.

All eyes will be on the pregnant Duchess next week as well. On Thursday, she is scheduled to visit the set of Downton Abbey, and Friday she is joining husband Prince William to pay tribute to those who served in Afghanistan.

The royal couple – who are already parents to 19-month-old son Prince George – expect their second child within weeks.
