I almost majored in Religion in college. I loved my comparative religion classes and while I’ve never been a religious person, I was fascinated by so many aspects of comparative religion and the evolution of many religions. It’s always funny to me that American Christians – particularly the Southern Baptists – think they have the franchise on godliness or purity. Which leads me to a Facebook post made by Jessa Duggar-Seewald yesterday. Jessa is all of 22 years old, which means she obviously knows everything about everything. Jessa usually uses her social media to promote her politics and religion, and it’s usually about reproductive rights and how the ladies shouldn’t have them (except that I’m pretty sure she’s on the Pill). Anyway, Jessa posted a lengthy Facebook yesterday, the point of which is that “judge not lest ye be judged” should not apply, because judgy Christians are doing the Lord’s work by judging other people.

One of the most quoted verses from the Bible is Matthew 7:1 “Judge not!” Whenever someone speaks out against something that God calls sin, “Don’t judge!” can be heard coming from a thousand lips. People don’t like to have other people disapprove of the way they’re choosing to live their life.

I will speak to you a hard truth. I do not write this because I think that it will bring me popularity. It won’t. But it is Truth from the Word of God: the Bible. To not tell people this is to hide the truth from them. To keep silent is to not care for their eternal destiny! I care about you, and this is why I am speaking out!

In this world, people have seared their consciences. The standard of what is “ok” or “permissible” in our society today, hardly reflects God’s standard. People are content to live on in lying, cursing, pride, anger, bitterness, disrespecting of parents, lust, pornography, fornication, adultery, and other sexual sins– and if anyone tries to confront them, their attitude and response is, “You live your life, I’ll live mine. Don’t you tell me what to do! Only God can judge me!”

They don’t even realize what they’re saying. God’s judgement isn’t something to be taken lightly! It should scare you! Man’s “judgement” is a 1000x lighter… usually just a voicing of disapproval. But when unbelieving, sinful men die and stand before God, He justly condemns them to hell.

This should be taken as an FYI – if Jessa comes up to you, ranting about what you’re doing wrong, you’re not allowed to shrug and tell her “You do you, mind your business.” She’s only judging you (harlot!) because she cares. And she cares because… the Bible. The Bible that says “judge not lest ye be judged.” How about this one, Jessa? “Pride comes before the fall.”

Here are some photos of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West out and about in London today. Is it just me or is this the most flattering dress Kim has worn in MONTHS? Look at it! She looks thin and tall, which is always her goal. Body parts aren’t falling out. She’s covered up and yet we can still see her figure. She should buy this in every color!!! As for Kanye… I guess that’s in style now? Moth-eaten sweaters and cowboy boots, y’all. Now you know.

I don’t have much to add here – Kim and Kanye were out in London last night for the BRIT Awards (he performed and she presented). Afterwards, they went out partying and now here they are, leaving the Dorchester. North West did not make this trip – I saw the photos of Kim flying out of LAX and arriving at Heathrow and North was left at home in LA. This week’s National Enquirer says that North is always crying around her parents because… North has no idea who they are. A source says:

“Kim leaves Nori with a nanny a lot, so she isn’t used to this much time alone with mommy and daddy. It’s obvious Nori’s way more comfortable with the nanny than with Kim and Kanye. She cries wherever they go. It’s obvious Nori doesn’t want to be there.”

Ivanka Trump has a feature in the March issue of Vogue to promote Celebrity Apprentice. She’s photographed here by Mario Testino. Her dress is Erdem, and she’s hanging out with her son, Joseph. Most of the interview covers Ivanka’s fast-paced lifestyle and how she rules the boardroom at work but finds time to balance family. Her husband, Jared Kushner, is present through much of the discussion. He calls his wife “definitely the CEO of our household, whereas I’m more on the board of directors.”

Ivanka’s previously talked about how she works 16 hour days, and she sees her kids (including daughter Arabella) at night for a quick sleep routine. Ivanka believes working so much helps her be a better mother when she comes home. The mere thought exhausts me because there’s always so much to be done as a mother. Even working for 8 hours every day on top of mothering can push someone to their limits. Jared says Ivanka “doesn’t want to outsource mothering,” but she does have help. She just doesn’t talk about it.

In this interview with Vicki Woods, Ivanka reveals how she focuses on family in one key way. Every weekend she turns off her phone to observe the Sabbath, which is solely devoted to family time:

On turning off her phone: “Yeah, we observe the Sabbath. From Friday to Saturday we don’t do anything but hang out with one another. We don’t make phone calls. It’s an amazing thing when you’re so connected … to really sign off. And for Arabella to know that she has me, undivided, one day a week? We don’t do anything except play with each other, hang out with one another, go on walks together. Pure family.”

On appreciating what she has: “You realize in life not that many things matter that much, but your choice of spouse is really everything. I am running a thousand miles a minute, and so is he, but none of it really matters. And I wouldn’t be able to do any of it if I didn’t have somebody who cared about me and had my best interests in mind. If I was married to somebody who, even if beneath the surface, didn’t like the fact that I work so hard or didn’t support my ambitions for myself or felt self-conscious about my last name … I think it would be very hard to build a solid foundation on that.”

Ivanka also reveals how she and Jared go out nearly every weeknight together, which sounds awesome but exhausting. I couldn’t be away from home for 16 hours (plus a date and time with a personal trainer) every day, but no shade. It works for them, and a dose of concentrated family time every weekend must help a lot. Turning off your phone for 25 hours every weekend is a hardcore commitment. Ivanka seems very well bonded with her kids in these pictures. Good for her.

FKA Twigs attended the BRIT Awards last night because she was up for some awards. She lost those awards, but she still “won” the night by having one of the best looks on the red carpet. Twigs wore Alexander McQueen – it shows some skin, but it’s not “sexy” in the traditional sense. She looks cool and interesting. Twigs walked the carpet alone, even though her boyfriend Robert Pattinson flew into London just to be at the BRITs with her. He was in LA for Oscar weekend, and he attended the VF Oscar party with his mates Sienna Miller and Tom Sturridge.

After the BRITs, Rob and Twigs went to an afterparty together though. They were spotted holding hands as they left the Warner Music afterparty. I like that Twigs didn’t change into a “party dress” – she knew she was rocking that McQueen and she was all “I’m going to keep wearing it while I party.” There are also some really nice loved-up photos of Sparkles and Twigs inside the party – go here to see.

I enjoy their whole vibe. Don’t you? Rob seems genuinely happy, the happiest he’s been in years. Twigs brings out a different side, a less sparkly but nonetheless more interesting side. According to E! News, “There is a special connection between the two of them. Music is a big part of the relationship, because it means to much to them. They clicked instantly and they literally have been inseparable.” Rob has also introduced Twigs to his family and “They absolutely loved her.” There were always reports of Rob’s sister not liking Kristen Stewart at all. Just sayin’.
