According to the N.Y. Daily News, Alex Rodriguez has slithered back to ex-wife Cynthia Rodriguez in the wake of his steroid scandal – and Madonna is not happy.

“Madge is pissed!” reveals an insider, after A-Rod fled to Coral Gables, Fla., to be with C-Rod. “Alex ran right home to Cynthia. To Madonna, it’s the ultimate dis.”

According to sources, the Queen of Pop – who has been spotted with model Jesus Luz of late – is livid because A-Rod didn’t come to her for solace.

The reason? “Alex’s handlers want to make sure he’s as far from Madonna as possible,” says the insider. “He has enough negative publicity as it is.”

Even after their messy divorce scandal last year, Alex Rodriguez is said to be finding comfort in the arms of ex-wife Cynthia amid the fallout from his positive steroid test.

No stranger to the spotlight, the Material Girl has gotten her fair share of attention lately by squiring Jesus Luz, a 22-year-old Brazilian, around New York.

But her camp insists that her dalliances with Luz – who’s featured wet and making out with Madonna in W magazine’s March issue – are just for publicity.

“Madonna and A-Rod have been burning up the phones,” reports the insider, “and she keeps on insisting that Jesus Luz is just a PR stunt.”

“Alex Rodriguez says he understands,” the source added. “But now he’s asking her to understand that salvaging his career is his priority.”

The predicament has at least brought one upside to the slugger: Now that he’s unable to focus all his attention on Madonna, she only wants him more.

“Madge is totally making a play to get him back,” confides a spy.

“She feels Alex is only with [Cynthia Rodriguez] for comfort, but she wishes he had come to her. She has been the subject of negative press her whole career, and she wants to help him understand that this too shall pass.”

The source says Her Madgesty is already making plans for a rendezvous.

“She’s so desperate to see Alex, she’s plotting a way that they can sneak out to the Hamptons to work things out. She wants to have some alone time.”

Will she and A-Rod be together again soon – or is Alex’s reunion with Cynthia Rodriguez more than a one-shot deal? We’ll have to wait and see.

Maggie Gyllenhaal has a message for fans: I’m no Katie Holmes.

The critically acclaimed actress — who is taking over Holmes’ role in the Batman series  — has startled some in Hollywood by distancing herself from Tom Cruise’s wife, who received lukewarm reviews for “Batman Begins.”

“I’m not walking into Katie Holmes’ performance,” Gyllenhaal said, reports WENN. “I’m thinking of it as an opportunity to play somebody who’s alive and smart. Chris (Nolan the director) asked me to do this because he wanted me, not because he wants some generic lady in a dress.”

Living the good life, a smiling Angelina Jolie was spotted out shopping for toys with son Maddox in New Orleans on Sunday afternoon (November 30).

While her partner Brad Pitt was out riding one of his motorcycles, the 33-year-old brunette beauty and her 7-year-old son ventured into the “Little Toy Shop” to do a little browsing, emerging a short while later with a handful of goodies.The toy shop outing coincides with the upcoming DVD release of Angelina’s action flick “Wanted,” which hits store shelves this Tuesday (December 2).

On a side note, Jolie’s rep once again was forced to clear up pregnancies this past week after false reports emerged claiming yet another child was on the way.

Actor Luke Wilson says that running scared during the filming of his new horror movie, Vacancy, came easily for him.

“Being the youngest of three brothers [Owen Wilson, 38, and Andrew Wilson, 42], I’m pretty jumpy,” says Luke, 36. “That helped.”

People: Your brother Owen is dating Kate Hudson. What about you?
Luke Wilson: I’m not seeing anybody. I’m not being evasive. I don’t have a girlfriend, but I wouldn’t mind one. I definitely want [kids] at some point.

People: Why is America obsessed with the Wilson boys’ love lives?
Luke Wilson: Well, for Owen, it would be because he and Kate worked together, and they’re high profile. There doesn’t seem to be that much fascination with mine. [Laughs]

People: Wouldn’t your parents love more grandkids?
Luke Wilson: Yeah, they really love Andrew’s son, Joey, and I’m sure they’d love more. We need to get a girl in the family.

Luke Wilson: Really? That’s great! Because sometimes when they compare our physical build, I always lose by like 69 percent. I got him beat? That’s good to hear. And I want to thank all those people.

People: How do you relax when you’re not working?
Luke Wilson: I really enjoy playing golf. I’m mediocre… It’s tough to play well when you’re working, but when I get time off, I’ll play almost every day. I like to exercise some and stay in shape. I don’t run as much as I used to but here and there. And I try and get some writing done; I have a few ideas I’m working on.

The ‘Kill Bill’ star would like her corpse to be preserved in sub-zero temperatures in the clothes closet of late US socialite Nan Kempner, who was renowned for her expensive collection of garments.
Liu told style expert Simon Doonan for his book ‘Eccentric Glamour’: “When I die I wish to be cryogenically frozen in Nan Kempner’s closet, and when I wake up, I can choose from her incredible collection. That would be wonderful.”
In 2003, Kempner – who died aged 74 in 2005 – was placed 20th on the New York Post’s list of the city’s 50 most fashionable women.

Ellen was a runner up in the national songwriting competition Make it Break it, sponsored by Sir Paul McCartney, and went on to win Search for a Star at the Spa Centre in 2007.

Louise Redknapp has revealed that her second pregnancy was no walk in the park. “I had a tough time all the way through, to be honest, because I felt so sick,” she told Hello! “But by the end I was so big and uncomfortable and I could feel the baby’s feet in my ribs – it felt like there was just no room in there. “I have to say, I was the whingiest, moaniest pregnant woman ever and I reckon anyone who was my friend during those nine months deserves a medal because when I look back now, I was really awful.” But it was all worth it when Louise and Jamie’s second son, Beau, popped out on the 10th November this year. “Touch wood, so far Beau has been a really easy baby,” Louise added. “He sleeps and feeds pretty well and he seems really calm and contented. We’ve been so lucky.” And now onto the all-important chat about getting her body back. “Because I had a Caesarean I haven’t been able to exercise. And as much as I have moaned about that, deep down I have loved having such a good excuse. “I’ve been watching what I eat – nothing radical, just being careful. I’ve got another 11lb to lose to get back to what I was before. “For some people, getting their body back is the most important thing and I’d be a liar if I said I didn’t want that, but not in six weeks. Realistically, I think it will take about three months.” Does anyone else just love this woman?

Lori Loughlin is the latest actress cast in The CW’s new 90210, CBS announced on Monday. Lori, who first rose to fame on television hits like Full House and Summerland, has been cast as Celia Mills, a former Olympic medalist and mother to the series’ central teens Annie and Dixon. The still-untitled series will focus on the Mills family, who move to Beverly Hills from the Midwestern city of East St. Louis.

According to The News Of The World Liv has decided to get her five-year marriage to the Brit rocker another whirl, having announced her split last month.

Sources told the paper: “Liv was reminded just how sacred marriage is.

“She realised that for the sake of their three-year-old son Milo, she wasn’t prepared to turn her back on her vows.”
