George Carlin, the great comedian known for his “7 words you can’t say on television”, died of heart failure at 71.

George Carlin had been admitted to Saint John’s Center in Santa Monica, California earlier yesterday with chest pain, and died early Sunday evening.

Carlin’s comedy was very edgy, lots of profanity, and covered drugs, sex, and politics. He rose to fame in the 1960’s and became one of the best-known performers.

George Carlin was probably most famous for his routine on “Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television,” and became later involved in a court case against a radio station that broadcast the segment.

Carlin suffered from a life-long battle with substance abuse and alcohol, and made no attempt to hide this fact. He discussed this at great length to audiences everywhere and on his HBO specials.

Carlin also acted in such movies as Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and The Prince of Tides.

He has also written several books such as Brain Droppings, Napalm & Silly Putty and his latest When Will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops?

Gemma Atkinson will become the model in a new video game called Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3. Gemma’s character is a military officer in the video game. This game will go on sale in October. It is catered for PC and Xbox 360.

Gemma said that she was an avid video gamer and she loved the chance to act in a video game. She admired her character, Eva, for her strength. Gemma was excited over expanding her horizons as an actress. She was ready to take on new roles to show her acting skills.

Gemma will appear in a new movie, Boogie Woogie, where she acts with Jamie Winston, Christopher Lee and Heather Graham.

Perhaps no other director handled the exploitation genre better than Jack Hill. Foxy Brown was originally planned to be the sequel to 1973’s Coffy, but the studio decided to scrap the idea at the last minute. Hill essentially went with the same story anyway, reworking a few of the plot components but keeping the basics intact to assemble the yarn of retribution and mayhem on the rough urban streets. The picture takes an interesting angle in relation to Coffy, using an analogous configuration but working a broader perspective with the material to generate more mainstream appeal.

Grier stars as the title character. We aren’t told what her job is, but we are introduced to her commitment to family as she protects her cokehead brother Link (Antonio Fargas) from certain disaster at the hands of a pair of villains. Soon enough we learn that Foxy’s boyfriend, Dalton Ford (Terry Carter), is an undercover cop. Better still, he’s having facial reconstructive surgery to generate a new identity so that he can be protected from drug dealers after a mission turned sour.

Even with his new face, it isn’t long before Dalton is gunned down. Foxy springs into action, seeking vengeance on her boyfriend’s killers. She infiltrates a call-girl organization run by Steve Elias (Peter Brown) and the evil Miss Katherine (Kathryn Loder) and soon discovers a drug ring that has deep roots in police corruption. Foxy seeks out her revenge, using her wits and sexuality to get the job done.

All of the usual exploitation accoutrements are here. Foxy Brown relentlessly shifts from one brutal set piece to another, stopping only for a brief sexual interval that usually showcases Grier’s notably busty figure.

The lady Flavor Flav chose was ……. Thing 2. This meant that “Black”, whose real name was Candace Cabrera, was the runner up.

The winner was a complete surprise. This was because the episode strated with Black and Sinceer as the Finale’s two candidates. Flavor Flav changed this completely when he brought back Thing2 to become one of the final contestants too. Flavor and Black traveled to Monaco. Later, it was Thing 2’s turn to travel to Paris with Flavor.

Eventually, Flavor chose Thing 2 to be his final winner for this season.

Canadian actress Evangeline Lilly became famous thanks to her role as Kate on television’s hit show “Lost,” but some fans may be surprised to learn it was the show that started her career. Lilly had a few television roles as an extra prior to being cast as ex-con Kate Austen, but “Lost” was her first speaking part.

Lilly was born August 3, 1979 as Nicole Evangeline Lilly in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada, to a home economics teacher father and a beauty consultant mother. She has a younger sister who Lilly always claimed was the “actor in the family.”

She grew up in a devout Christian family and during her childhood the Lilly family did not have a television. When she was 18, Lilly served as a foreign missionary in the Philippines where she lived in a grass hut. Her parents wanted her to return home, which she did, and became a flight attendant for Air Canada. She speaks both English and French.

Lilly was discovered by the Ford Modeling Agency on the streets of Kelowna, British Colombia. She signed on to model to help pay her tuition at the University of British Colombia. Once she signed on with Ford, she opted to head into their acting branch.

Her work as an extra began in 2003 when she appeared as a high school girl leaning against a locker in the movie “Freddy vs. Jason.” She also appeared in a pool hall scene in an episode of “Smallville” and as a police officer in “The Lizzie McGuire Movie.”

Landing the role on “Lost” changed everything and shot Lilly into the realms of superstar. She was nominated in 2007 for a Golden Globe as Best Actress in a Drama and also nominated for a 2007 Saturn Award for Best Actress on a Television Series.

In her personal life, she has been linked to “Lost” fellow actor Dominic Monaghan. She was previously married to Canadian hockey player Murray Hone.

On the ABC series her character is referred to as “Freckles.” Her “Lost” cast mates also call her “Monkey” because of her ability to climb trees, a characteristic she shares with her television character Kate.

Lilly has used her rise to fame to help promote the video “Just Yell Fire,” a video aimed at teaching teenage girls the best way to defend themselves against rapists.

On the final day of shooting before the holiday break in December 2006, the house Lilly was living in on the island of Kailua, Hawaii, (“Lost” is filmed in Hawaii) was completely destroyed by fire. Lilly shared the house with two “Lost” actresses, both who work as stand-ins for her on the show. The cause of the fire was determined to be an electrical fault.

Eva Mendes can’t live without spice. “The Spirit” actress enjoys a temperature-raising taste sensation and would take crushed red pepper and her boyfriend with her if she was ever stranded on a desert island.

She said: “My five desert island staples would have to be my boyfriend George Augusto, our dog Hugo, an iPod, the Sunday New York Times newspaper and crushed red pepper.”

The 43-year-old actress has also revealed she wouldn’t change a thing about her physical appearance.

She told Britain’s The Times newspaper: “I love and accept my body completely. I know that is not an interesting answer, but I really wouldn’t change anything. I’ve worked too hard on accepting it all!”

But while Eva – the daughter of Cuban parents – isn’t hankering after other actress’ looks, she is envious of those who tackle more challenging roles, especially double Golden Globe winnerKate Winslet.

She said: “I would steal Kate Winslet’s roles. All her roles. Not only is she the most amazing actress in the entire world, she’s done nude scenes in a lot of her films which shows she’s just fearless.”
