Sunday Rose may have been born on a Monday, but Keith Urban says his daughter’s name has a bittersweet meaning.
"Particularly when you don’t have someone in your life … in my experience, Sunday was the loneliest day," Urban, 41, tells Ellen DeGeneres on an episode of her talk show set to air Wednesday. "It went from being sort of the most dreaded day of the week for us to being the most joyous day, because we just had a family."
Although Urban and his wife Nicole Kidman are Aussies, the country musician says their nearly 9-month-old daughter – who is being raised largely in the couple’s adopted hometown of Nashville – might just develop a unique twang.
He tells DeGeneres, "I think she may say, ‘Good day, ya’ll.’ A nice mix."
As she celebrates the 500th episode of her talk show, Rachael Ray is exhaling a sigh of relief – and learning to breathe.
After being diagnosed with a benign cyst on her vocal cords last year, Ray started working with a vocal coach who has helped her alleviate the stress on her larynx. "I have learned how to breathe, to use my cords differently," Ray, 40, tells PEOPLE. "I had been tilting my head in a way when I talked that wasn’t good for my throat. I’ve been working on all of that, and it seems to be helping."
Last year, the TV cooking star and talk show host planned to have surgery to remove the cyst. But days before surgery, Ray’s vocal coach and doctor gave her a reprieve from the procedure that would have rendered her silent for several days.
"It was decided that … through voice therapy, in six months my vocal cords would be as good as can be," says Ray. "Now I see my vocal coach twice a week, and it’s really helped a lot."
When Miley Cyrus was named favorite female singer at Saturday’s Kids’ Choice Awards, the teen star couldn’t help but get a bit choked up. "I was a little embarrassed," she tells MTV News. "But then again, I shouldn’t be."
And Cyrus, 16, says despite criticism, her response was genuine. "It meant something to me," she says, "because it’s from the kids and the kids are more important than anything else in the world. So it made me happy."
Cyrus, whose latest project is Hannah Montana: The Movie, say she didn’t even expect to win the award, and was truly surprised by the honor. "Honestly, I didn’t think I was going to win it," she says. "It just made my day that I did. It means a lot to me."
Nearly two dozen employees at Kaiser Permanante Medical Center in Bellflower, Calif., were recently fired or disciplined for peeking into the medical records of octuplet mom Nadya Suleman.
"It appears that for these people curiosity got the better of them and that’s tragic because it led to job dismissals, which isn’t easy for us to do, but it’s an action we had to take," says Kaiser spokesman Jim Anderson.
Fifteen employees were fired and eight were disciplined for snooping into Suleman’s records without authorization. Anderson declined to divulge the job titles of the employees involved, but said, "They ran the whole gamut of the medical staff."
Hospital officials discovered Suleman’s medical records had been inappropriately accessed on two different occasions beginning three weeks ago while security personnel were monitoring Kaiser’s computer network.
Anderson says none of the information appears to have been leaked or sold to the media. Kaiser officials notified Suleman about the matter on both occasions, shortly after the employees had either been fired or disciplined.

"Nikki and Rick are beyond thrilled," says the rep, Jerry Shandrew. "Tatum arrived healthy and absolutely beautiful."

Even though the cameras weren’t rolling on her reality show, Kelly Bensimon was the star of a personal drama on Tuesday. The Real Housewives of New York player reported to a Big Apple courthouse to face a misdemeanor assault charge after she allegedly attacked her boyfriend, Nick Stefanov.
Bensimon, 40, was arrested March 5 for punching Stefanov in the face and entered a not guilty plea at the time.
"I’m really upset by the entire process," she told Extra after the Tuesday hearing. "My beautiful girls and I are being exposed to a horrible situation. I just think it just unsettling."
According to police reports, the former model gave her boyfriend a black eye and a gash on his left cheek. He fled the apartment after the altercation. At the time, a friend told PEOPLE that Bensimon was "upset and embarrassed" by the situation.
On Tuesday, her lawyer Ed Hayes told Extra that Stefanov, who did not appear in court, "just wants to make her life uncomfortable."
When asked by Extra if he thinks the situation could be described as a lovers’ quarrel, Hayes said: "I don’t even know if I qualify him as lover. How about a jilted moron?"
‘Escape’ singer Enrique Iglesias has admitted that former professional tennis player Ana Kournikova was the love of his life but the couple has no plans to tie the knot for now.
"If you ask me right now, I’d say she’s the woman in my life, but I don’t know if eternal love exists. The reality is that lots of people who get married get divorced, but I’ll be able to answer that question when I’m 90, then I’ll be able to say if I was with her the rest of my life," the singer was quoted by Latin American Herald Tribune saying in a press conference.
"Relationships are difficult and maintaining them is not easy. I believe in marriage, but I believe that today you don’t have to be married to be happy," Iglesias said.
The 33-year-old singer said he was not yet ready to have children, but he did not rule out having a family in the future. Iglesias and Ana have been together since 2002, when the Russian tennis star played Iglesias’ girlfriend in the video for his hit number Escape .
Over the years, reports periodically suggested a split but both Iglesias and Ana have always denied them.
Leonardo DiCaprio and Bar Refaeli are neither engaged nor have any plans to walk down the aisle anytime soon, says a friend.
The rumours about the couple’s engagement began spreading after Bar was spotted wearing a normal gold band on her ring finger.
"No – he and Bar are not married and not engaged. It was just a ring she was wearing on that finger," Us Weekly quoted DiCaprio’s pal as saying. However, this doesn’t mean Leonardo, 34, is not going to get married, as he revealed that he is keen to settle down and have children of his own.
"I want to get married and have children," Leonardo told Parade magazine earlier. "I absolutely believe in marriage,” he added.
Michael Jackson, who is set to make a comeback with his London O2 Arena, will be introducing his eldest son Prince Michael I, who will make his stage debut at the concert.
The 12-year-old, who has been masked for his most of his life, will be unveiled to audiences, as Michael wants him to carry on his father’s showbiz family tradition.
"What better way to introduce his son to the music world than to have him come on stage during the most anticipated concert in history?" the Daily Star quoted a source as saying.
Michael is also said to be determined to prove his critics wrong and show them that he can manage 50 shows despite his fading health.
"The shows begin on July 8 and the singer will perform to more than a million people during his 50-date London residency," the source said.
Making for quite the busy weekend, Rachelle Lefevre was spotted making her rounds all over Los Angeles on Friday and Saturday (March 27-28).
Looking as if she just rolled out of bed, the “Twilight” actress took her dog, Suckle, for a walk wearing a fluffy bathrobe – during which time she managed to flash her panties for following paparazzi.
After changing her clothes, Miss Lefevre then toted her pet pooch over to Mani’s Bakery, where she was interviewed by a female journalist.
Once finished up with her casual interview, the redhead beauty took advantage of the sunny weather, going for a jog in Venice Beach with a friend before meeting up for lunch at BLD with her boyfriend, “The Tudors” star Jamie Thomas King.
The previous day, Rachelle and her beau made the trip to Trader Joe’s with their reusable grocery bags, playing a game of catch with the toilet paper upon arriving back home.
