Elizabeth Hurley has been named as the goodwill ambassador for a children’s charity. The “Bedazzled” star will be helping raise awareness and funds of the charity throughout the year.Caudwell Charity provides equipment and treatment to sick and disabled children across the U.K. The charity has now raised more than $12 million and has helped thousands of children in need.

CEO Trudi Beswick said that the actress, being a global film and fashion icon, will be influential in the continued growth of the organization.

Hurley, 43, said of her new role, “There are sick and disabled children living in the U.K. who may not be receiving the support they need. Caudwell Children is trying to make a difference and I’m happy to help.”

Eliza Dushku attended the CNN Heroes event a few days ago at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood and I apologize for not posting these pictures sooner. Dr. Dre’s son, Andre Young Jr, 20, who was found dead in August at the family’s Woodland Hills home, died of an accidental drug overdose of morphine and heroin coroner’s concluded.

The toxicology test showed that Andre R. Young Jr. died of “morphine and heroin intoxication,” said Ed Winter, assistant chief of the Los Angeles County coroner’s office. Young’s death was ruled as an accidental death, he said.

Andre Young’s mother found him dead at the family’s home at 10:24 a.m. on Aug. 23. An autopsy was completed a few days later, but the determination of the cause of death was delayed pending the outcome of a “gamut of tests, including toxicology,” Winter said.

Dr. Dre is mourning the loss of his son. Please respect his family’s grief and privacy at this time,” the musician’s publicist, Lori Earl, said after Young was found dead.
