As the super-long-running hospital drama “ER” prepares for its final episodes, some exciting news has made its way to the press – George Clooney will be returning before all is said and done.
According to an inside source, John Wells, the show’s co-creator, is ordering a closed set in an attempt to maintain secrecy regarding the “Ocean’s Thirteen” actor’s involvement.
At this time, no one is sure just how much Clooney will be featured, as NBC and Warner Bros reps declined to comment, as did George’s spokesperson.
And for all of you “ER” fans out there, NBC executives extended the 15th and final season by four episodes last week, giving us all a little more drama before the end.

Pop music icon Cyndi Lauper has become the latest in a series of celebrities throwing support behind Senator Barack Obama’s campaign for the White House.
In a Friday afternoon entry, entitled “Hope,” posted on her Official Myspace Blog, Cyndi says: I believe we are at a crossroads and the next ten years will determine the future of this country. Like I said from the stage, this is not voting for the American Idol, it is much more important, this is voting for the American President. And now that I’m home again, and off stage, I wonder, will we become the country that respects the diversity that is our backbone or will we continue down this path of the few ruling the many?
